Should we look at Murphy rather than Gordon once these preseason games sort themselves out? Murphy xA per 90 last year was ridiculous. And even if they move for an RW right now... they wont be up to speed to start off the first few game weeks. Murphy ended the season incredibly strong for Newcastle could be starting alongside Gordon + Isak and at 5.5m with like 0.2% ownership it feels like he is going to be the starter for Matchweek 1... Home matches against Southampton and Tottenham before the window closes should be juicy for any Newcastle attacker
Love your thought process with this video Gianni. What do we like with FPL assets? As much certainty as you can get. You have a lot of certainty with your picks. What are we uncertain about this season? How are Liverpool & Chelsea going to perform under their new managers? What players will be preferred in their systems? Like you said Havertz could become a Liverpool forward when you know who is the best one. If TAA doesn’t get utilised well in the new Liverpool managers system you can downgrade him to Gvardiol and spread the 1.0 saving elsewhere. Nkunku is a safe entry to an unknown Chelsea. And his versatility guarantees he’ll get picked for games somewhere. I think you’re getting very close to your final draft. 👍

Better to have solid picks and try to end up OR 1M or less each GW and you will have a high OR rank in the end. Similar approach to how index funds are working.

I think Spurs could start the season really fast due to Anges high octane style suiting a fresher squad. The midfeild is also looking nice with Bissouma and Madison ready.

I made a very similar draft to this a couple of hours ago except I've gone with No Trent and Konsa there so save 2.5 mil Villa gonna be strong defense this season under Emery and all the players are back from injury and Onana from Everton in front of their defence too will be rock solid I reckon. Eze down to Johnson from Spurs for another .5 mil therefore that leaves me with 3 mil to work with 1 mil on upgrading Winks to Hudson Odoi just incase I need another starting bench midfielder for whatever reason 1 mil from Havertz up to Watkins just think Watkins is a better striker than Havertz and he has fantastic fixtures from 3-9 which he will gain a lot of points there through that period and my concern with Havertz is what if he's inconsistent? What if Gabriel Jesus takes his spot or Trossard does and Arteta moves him into midfield where he wasn't as prolific of a scorer last season. My final million I went from Murillo to Kyle Walker, I know he won't play GW1 possibly even GW2 but he's a huge Pep favourite at RB and will play most games got 30 starts last season for .5 cheaper than Gvardiol and exact same amount of points. My thinking is a lot of games Walker and Gvardiol will be the wingback for City, Akanji will have at least 1 CB spot nailed for City and its up to Dias Stones and Ake to fight for the other. After all, why wouldn't you want a player in your defence that plays for the best team in the country, but the rest of my team is pretty much the exact same.
Since Smith Rowe has gone to Fulham, he should get good minutes, makes having him as the 5th attacking midfielder. It does mean the midfield is Son, Eze, Szabo, Nkunku and Smith Rowe. FWD with Watkins, Haalaand, Isak. With DEF Gvardial, Mykolenko, Anderson, Barco and Hawood Bellis. Very front heavy but every outfield player is from a different team. With 0.5mil in the bank to make changes too.

I don’t know what it is about son for me … historically I’ve never had him , I’ve won my mini league 3 times in the last few seasons and always near people who have son In the few times I have brought him in he always blanks . Just one of those things

That's when you intent to play him according to your rotation and before that he's not useful to you like how was Andersen to you. Not ideal to use a transfer on a 4th defender option.

I agree with Son. Son scored 15 non penalty goals last season. That was more than Cole Palmer scored. And yet, people are going for Palmer and not Son. Doesn’t make sense. Son is consistently scoring 200+ fantasy points and is up there as one of the most consistent over the years. He is playing pre season with the club which is a big plus too whereas Palmer isn’t back from his holiday I don’t think.

Didn't realise Haaland was 13.5m. 😂 Like the draft though. Very cool you've mad it work with 2x 4.0m defenders. I do think Barco has a bit too much hype. Not like the fixtures are pretty. And of course Estupinan coming back. New manager as well at Brighton. Although sounds exciting. Never been a fan of rotating defenders so I have Andersen as my 4th defender right now. Got Livramento in after hearing Dean on CGA from last night. 😊 I also think people are reading into Foden and Rodri news a bit too much. They are playing Chelsea away and will want a good start. Yeah they may play not 90 but Rodri is super fit. Foden has been fitter recently and proved it at the Euros. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts and gets 60 mins. Then plays 90 against Ipswich. They're key players and need them for big game like Chelsea at the Bridge which was 4-4 last season and Pep will have that on his mind. 😅
Out of all the 7m and below players, he has the least question marks. Chelsea will go through that weird adaptation stage again, Gibbs-White is a good player but doesn't translate into FPL points, Johnson at Spurs rotation risk. At least Eze will play 90 minutes and take free kicks, corners and penalties. I have actually looked for an alternative for him but they all have bigger downsides. The only way I can get rid of him is to go cheaper elsewhere

I also think people are reading into Foden and Rodri news a bit too much. They are playing Chelsea away and will want a good start. Yeah they may play not 90 but Rodri is super fit. Foden has been fitter recently and proved it at the Euros. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts and gets 60 mins. Then plays 90 against Ipswich. They're key players and need them for big game like Chelsea at the Bridge which was 4-4 last season and Pep will have that on his mind. 😅

Chelsea will go through that weird adaptation stage again, Gibbs-White is a good player but doesn't translate into FPL points, Johnson at Spurs rotation risk.
At least Eze will play 90 minutes and take free kicks, corners and penalties. I have actually looked for an alternative for him but they all have bigger downsides. The only way I can get rid of him is to go cheaper elsewhere
