Growing up one of the greatest things I remember and still looking for it it's over 65 years. A 1959 tin plate Texaco gas station being assembled in the basement of my parents row house by my dad. I'm still searching for it I can find some 1960s. I love gas stations model cars real cars building houses both real and models. I build model train sets and one of my favorite editions is a gas station. So your show has been great.

You got full service for your cars back in those days of the 1940s at service stations because people had respect for 1 another back then.. Nows day there no such thing as full service at a service station/gas station it's called do it your self because people don't treat you with respect and don't care about respect now days..

It used to be full service, and greeted with a smile, today you’re lucky if you don’t get robbed at a gas station.
Things like this started changing around the mid 60’s.
I wonder what the key element regarding changes with people, respect, and crime around this time?
Hmmmm….. as I watch the local news, I see the key element in crime and disrespect for others. 🍉🍗

I was a pump jockey in the early 1960s it was a full service when the gas companies would have a price War you can buy a gallon of regular for about 18 cents that left you a little more to spend on your girlfriend if you were lucky enough to have one

You can still find some gas stations gathering spots in southern Alabama. One in particular is in Uniontown, Alabama-the only gas station in town.

Well I guess a state with an oil well on the steps of the Capital maybe doesn't have service stations. Oklahoma pumped much of the oil that made the gasoline and yet not one picture. I worked at a Service Station when I was very young that was in business from the 1930's through to 1973 not one picture from Oklahoma.
