    Everything was class back then. No vehicle looked the same as they all do today. People dressed with class and had respect for one another. ThankGod I got to experience it.

    Back when trucks were used to haul loads, not egos. Its rare to see an actual real pickup truck today. Regular cab 2wd 6 or 8 ft bed .

    What's interesting is back then the trucks were way under sized and under powered and over loaded for the job. Now people think they need a one ton truck just to take the kids to school.

      The wonders of the manual transmision there is not loss of power so those anemic 6 inline engines could do the job also the "big ones" had an overdrive gear in the rear axle making

    One of the trucks was labeled Golden Guernsey Dairy. That was a Wisconsin milk producer headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It was in business until 2013.

    I think I would really like to have one of those old delivery trucks. Really neat to see what a really old Mack truck looked like. Our cars today look okay, but they don't look near as fancy or elegant as these much older vehicles were.

    I bought a 1953 Chevrolet cargo truck/van. I bought it in Denver in 1969 for probably a couple hundred bucks and that truck today, in the same condition would probably be worth at least maybe 4K? It was just a stripped out delivery truck. No rust, ran good. I’m such a dope for not realizing what a gold mine it was. I’m absolutely positive that truck is in a car show somewhere. 😩

    ❤just found your channel, subscribed and thumbs up 👍, I'm a retired Firefighter and a Mechanic of 40 years, Scotty Kilmor has 10 years ahead of me but he wasn't also Firefighter, lol dont get me wrong, nothing but love for Scotty.
    I like how you keep some of the black and white in the picture to remind us it was once monochromatic. Mainly a hand I've noticed. Really Cool! Ty!❤

    Back when cars and trucks were made in the USA! Nowadays, they are mostly from Japan and South Korea. Of course, mostly everything else is made in China. What happened to our country?

Respectable heads of manufacturing industries wrote what offshoring would produce in minute detail; patent theft - infringement, inadequate materials & quality control, inability to source replacement parts, delays in procurement, unbalanced trade, manipulated monetary exchange rates, markets flooded with crappy products. . . That's not a 1/10 of issues predicted.
      The lesser companies looked at importation to slash labor and material costs were all in, via hordes of lobbyists. Such begat the importers and distributors, who produce nothing at all. Consumers focused on price vs quality ate it up.

    Re Japan vs American produced. I have an old looking 2010 Ford Ranger but the sadness is not how the work went to Asia but how it is impossible to buy a small truck like that now. My truck with crank down windows was nearly the last year that it was possible to get any kind of small truck. It is obscene how large these American trucks have become. Good video. Commercial vehicles are so cool. Thanks.

      The band "borrowed" the name from the vehicle manufacturer. It was originally a company that made cars and trucks. REO was the company founder's initials: Ransom E. Olds. He also founded Oldsmobile, but sold it to General Motors, then started Reo.

    The AI colorizers seem to like purple a lot. The next generation will be trained on these purple heavy photos. And soon all the old black and white pictures will be turned into purple and light blue.

    Mack AC 1916-1939
