It’s good to hear your thoughts! India and I wanted a bushman for our 76 but have been looking more at kings for similar reasons to you. I’ll wait for your review video after a few trips I think!

Been running the 85L Kings upright for a while now. Cannot fault it at all. Got it running 24/7 in my canopy and it doesn't use much battery at all. I bought it on special and it comes with a 5 year warranty if anything did go wrong. Why wouldn't you save your money and buy the Kings?

hi, can I ask you, how many days you can stay off grid and your fridge still running ? and how many ah does your battery have?

@@martinbolech9038 I'm running a 120a lithium battery with a permanent 170a solar panel. It never runs out with the fridge running the whole time. Battery drops to maybe 85% overnight but next day she's topped straight back up to 100%.

@@rmtimmah well sorted electric ⚡️ stuff, btw where do you usually travel? Like a top of Queensland or Tassie ? And how many appliances do you supply with your battery? I mean is there some another large power consumer or just simply lights, one fan , maybe water pump…

@@martinbolech9038 mainly around QLD but I'm heading to Perth from Brisbane soon too, so that'll be a good run. No other real appliances other than fridge, lights, charging phones and speakers etc. I'm also running starlink now which uses a bit of power from the invertor. If anything I would upgrade to more solar or 200a battery at least.

I have the Kings 85lt upright in my canopy which I also have been running 24/7. I have a fridge monitor and even high ambient temperatures on high 30s low 40 degree days the fridge has maintained good temperatures.

Just bought a Kings 75 Litre Fridge Freezer for $369, Competitors want 2 to 3 times the $$, for $369 with two years warranty it's worth a try.

@@martinbolech9038 just mostly small things, only thing that really annoys me is how much power it uses because it’s poorly insulated. But definitely still gets the job done

Ive had the Kings 85L in my setup for about a year now and its a great improvement from the chest style. i love it but it seems to use a lot of power and Ive come across a 12 fan mod which is supposed to circulate the air and therefore decreases the amount of on time so should reduce power useage a lot.
These are very similar to the bushman but with a few upgrades like the digital thermometer and a 5 year warranty instead of the bushmmans 1 or 2 yrs . . . . wtf??
I do wonder if the insulation isnt as good as the bushman but have no idea.
Hopefully the fan mod decreases the power useage because it sure chews through my 200ah pretty quick in hot weather

hi mate, how do you go with power usage now after installed 12v fan system? is it better? btw are we talking about ventilation inside of the fridge or outside around compressor ? thanks for sharing any thoughts as I am just about to buy some campervan upright fridge

Kings have lifted their game on a lot of their newer gear in my humble opinion . They also still have some junk though . Some of the name brands arent made like they used to be either . Its a minefield out there
