Charli Baltimore reflected on the rise of 50 Cent and the beef with Ja Rule. She confirmed appearing on one of 50's early mixtapes, which revolved around the feud. Baltimore says she even released her own diss mixtape. As things escalated, Murder Inc.'s office was raided by federal authorities. The artist said she remained focused on her own work amid the turmoil. Baltimore also criticized Murder Inc.'s CEO, Irv Gotti, suggesting he underestimated 50 Cent's growing support in the street, leading to missed opportunities to 'nip it in the bud.' She felt Ja Rule’s failed response was too late, and had he responded sooner, the outcome might have been different. Baltimore concluded that the mentality of Invincibility at Murder Inc. at that time was a downfall.
Irv was probably like “don’t respond. We’ll do him like puff did pac.” It just didn’t pan out that way
💯 percent
You right
Haha
Yeah 50 didn’t quit! PAC only quit becuase he died I don’t think pac would’ve destroyed bad boy because big was great rapper…
From what I heard, biggie was planning on leaving bad boy
50 had a whole machine behind him. I don’t think going back to back wouldn’t worked either
thats fair and probably correct
50 didn't have a machine in 2000. That's where Murder Inc drop the ball.
Ja should have dropped diss records and definitely had Black Child or Cadillac Tah on the records to give it more street credibility
@@hmosesmamulu6491you smart

I actually never thought about it because People were already saying Clap Back. But you’re right that song may have popularized it
Shout to 50 for making the term, "Wanksta" popular. Not sure if he invented it but fa sho nobody outside of Southside Jamaica ever heard it.
Eminem created the word "Stan"

ignoring 50 and continue making hits would have worked. dissin 50, em, and dre was the mistake
As a pale biracial woman myself, I'll never forgive 50 for saying Charlie looks like she died last week😩😂
Stop being a groupie, Charlie still sexy af. She aged well.
Lmao
😂😂😂😂
I feel you sis 😭😂
Lmao 🤣
The problem was there's was nothing Ja Rule or Murder Inc was going to do to stop the rise of 50 Cent especially after he Link up with Dr Dre and Eminem who was the biggest rapper in the game at that point
Em is still the biggest rapper man, who's bigger ?
@@Sti11Loading659 who's relevant ? Drake ? Hahaha
They literally tried the Puff/2pac strategy but it didn’t quite work out. 50 became Pac after Quad shooting. Took Supremes best shots and survived. Became a bit of an urban legend to the white kids.
@v-kingzbeats7221 while you trying to be funny drakes catalog is way harder than Eminem. When is the last time someone played Eminem in the club at a party or the radio? Foh..Drake been going hard for bout 15 years straight.
@@Shiftnlift damn no club is playin Vinnie Paz and he is even harder, but who cares 😉
50 had 2 goals in life at that time: Become successful and shutdown Murder Inc by any means necessary. 50 was relentless and had nothing to lose. There was nothing Irv and Ja could do about it.
He indirectly was shutting down preme who he had street beef with
Exactly
😂 very accurate 🤙🏿
And snitched on Preme, to get Murder Inc muscle out the way.
The world chose 50. Irv bragged about getting 50 blackballed from the industry only for Murder inc as a whole to be blackballed after the feds raided their offices and froze their assets so they can't help Preme.
As 50 himself said- associating with someone of Preme's status made them a liability, but Irv wanted to be gangsta so badly that he stuck to his guns to the bitter end.
“You had a whole mixtape dissing 50”
“Yes I did”. Ain’t nobody hear that bullshit!

When you at the top it’s only one way to go and that’s down. When you winning a lot. Ppl want to see someone else win. That’s what happen to Ja.
Truth is Ja could've come back immediately and hard and people would've still only seen him as that hook singing pop rapper versus 50 the real goon. Vlad is right, Ja should've stayed focused on making commercial hits and moving numbers. Soon as Murder Ink fell off it opened the door for a list of rappers to start doing that same crossover rap style and cashing in big (Nelly, Fabulous, Chamillionaire, Flo-Rida, etc)
@@Sti11Loading659nelly was him aagaha
I wish that Charlie Baltimore mixtape dissing 50 Cent would be released.
Clap back has got to be the worst response ever 😂
I liked Clap back, I think It came out to late, 50 was already to huge by then.
Crown was better
Word I remember back then thinking when he dropped clap back.. he waited to long, and it wasn't hard
The song definitely was hard but just was too late
That track was lame as fuck it was a good laugh 😂
Kim went crazy on Charli 50 spoke facts on charli
Before I even watch the interview,Salute to Charlie Baltimore! She went hard💪🏾💯
I remember on the BEEF DVD the interviewer asked Ja “what’s going on with this cat 50”!? And Ja was like “Who”? That’s how Ja and Murder Inc felt at the time that 50 wasn’t bigger enough to diss back. But just like the pale lady just said 50 was getting bigger and bigger so I get both.
Pale lady LoL. I call her Morticia 🕸️🕷️
It’s really hard to know what was the best response. Because Jay Z has taken the approach to ignore certain artists at times as well. Ja tried the same approach with 50 and it cost him.
@@MichaelElam2good point... its hard to say what is the best route to take.

There’s a saying if you ignore a small problem it’ll turn into a big problem. That’s what it did and it was too much to handle at that point. Murder Inc lost touch and thought everything was sweet. If it was anybody else it might’ve worked but 50 was and is a different type of animal.
They put a hit out on him then Irv tried to blackball him.. They never ignored Fif they just underestimated him
*50 Gets da last laugh!*
Didn't Ja dissed 50 first on BET Rap City?
Plus, it was a mistake for Baltimore to make a diss song towards 50. It was an A for effort but F for Charli's disses.
Ja dissed 50 on a track Pop Niggas on his last temptation album. Right after wanksta started getting heavy rotation on radio
And irv gotti and ja rule was calling 50 and yayo a 🐀 on hot 97 and what caused 50 and g-unit to make that mixtape automatic gunfire bombing on the whole murder inc
@@ishmaelpeah6623 It wasn't Ja's freestyle on Rap City or his diss on 50 and DMX from the Last Temptation album?
Ja was super big headed on that Beef dvd. 50 dissed Pun (Pun responded). Gotti thought he was too good to diss a street rapper with some mixtapes (big mistake)
I remember on that Beef 📀when they asked Ja Rule abt 50 Cent and he said "Who?"... they asked him again and he said "Who?" lol. That 50 🌪 swept everything its path shortly after including the whole Murder Inc. record label
He responded several times though.
And that was the mistake 😂😂
Ja couldn’t say nothing back the feds was watching
Finally someone says what i was thinking..... Although clap back was ja official response to 50 and others he had dropped different diss on mix tapes before clap back...... once clap back came out people kinda ran towards 50 already.

Yeah he had one call loose change I believe

It wasn’t anything murder inc could do. Do it early or ignore it. 50 was coming regardless. People were starting to get kinda tired of ja by then.
Ppl forgot how Ja had hits
JaRule attacked first when he went after Hailey
Damn Vlad questions be so long-winded pretty soon he gonna be releasing videos of his questions in segments too
Blood in my eye was ok, but yeah, Ja Rule waited too long to come back and it was too late.
The whole first minute was the question
But irv wanted Nas to ride through the ghetto of Baltimore make it make sense
I still say we need a G unit murder inc vs 🤷🏽♀️
She a legend but DAMNNN on the other side of Hit Em Up & I Smell Pussssss is hurtful 😂🙁🤷🏽♂️
Music was changing. It was undeniable and add to the fact Em & Dre was backing him.
People forgetting Irv Gotti and Murder Inc was under investigation by the feds so thats what gave 50 the green light with diss records.
Damn Vlad a minute long question? Wtf!!!
I don't think it would have mattered, 50 was something different at that time .. And you was dealing with a man with nothing to lose.
Her song with Mobb ;Deep is my joint.
Vlads all excited yelling. 😂
Ja couldn't win if he wanted too, 50 was in beast mode, ja was against 50, em, d12, busta, x and dre
Charli’s right, by the time murder inc paid attention to 50 properly “in da club” just dropped
I never liked Ja's whole wannabe Tupac aura from the start in the "can i get a.." video so it was lovely when 50 came on the scene and started picking him apart. "Murdaaaa..." 🤣🤣
"2Pac cut his head bald,u wanna cut yo head bald!!! 2Pac wore a bandana,u wanna wear a bandana!!! 2Pac put crosses on his back,u wanna put crosses on yo back!!! U ain't 2Pac!!! Nigga, this 2Pac"- 50 Cent Realest Killaz
Blood in my eye is a classic pity he responded to 50s disses too late on that album....
It was to late us in Ny was sick of murder inc. radio kept playing them back to back and we needed change it was to much singing and soft 50cent was like our 2 pac and savior for gangster rap he had us the streets supporting the gunit movement the streets never lose Ja had no chance to survive 😂

S*** I never knew that never herd one song of her dissing 50
foolish was the biggest song from that label
Irv Gotti and ja y'all can't go against the hottest rappers in the planet Eminem 50cent c'mon man 😂😂😂
What I don't get is what's good music or just new wave hype? Cause if it really sounds good, lyrics on point, etc people wouldn't care if another artist is dissing you. Your true fans would still rock with you. Example: No matter how big Jay was he couldn't body Nas cause Nas's talent spoke for itself. Pac and Suge couldn't body Dre because Dre eventually came back with hits. Rather than responding he let his work speak for itself
But like method man said
Fans are fickle
At that point people wanted something Harder than what ja was giving them and a lot of fans unfortunately took sides .
Ja had a legendary run. He's definitely underappreciated. But 50 just came in like a kamikaze pilot and irv and ja let it happen.
Plus once 50 had the whole rap division of interscope from em to Xzibit jump rule thrn they even got Busta Rhymes involved
The inc didn't have the spitters to complete with all that and outside of ja ...Ashanti was the only hitmaker so what exactly could they do plus ja was never considered the most lyrical dude ever.
He wasa slouch but he wasn't nas or Jay.
Had irv got nas.....I think thst was thier only shot
The Feds literally shut down Murder Inc. not 50. Ya’ll crazy
Ja shouldn’t of responded. Not even alittle bit and kept doing his thing.
Tbh I never heard of her even at that time back then. I use to watch bet and mtv but never heard any music from her.

She had a joint back in 1998 titled Money. She even performed it on Soul Train.
She has a Dj Premier track called "Everybody Wanna Know" I bump that...largely because of preemo he can make anyone sound good."Money" aint bad either...man they use to spend money on some videos back then.
