Wow, the insights David talks about today have been truly revolutionary for me and they will be for you too. What a legend. Hit like and subscribe for a new episode every Monday, thank you 🙏🏽
I'm an over 50 man and am getting fed up with your thumbnails. "99% don't know this...!?" and _you_ see what percentage are clicking and then NOT watching to find out why because you go completely against our mental reward mechanism. 1. Most long-form videos do not attempt to shame the non-sub'd 2. Mr beast gets views because his thumbnails can address their statement before too long [ typically meeting the first claim in the first few seconds and adding further 'high' points, all in a 12 min vid ] I could make the same statement and it is 100% true. Almost everyone knows something 99% of people do not know! It's so arbitrary.
As much as I would have hoped for a full sale of manchester united, I am happy of the prospect of Sir David Brailsford Joining. His experience together with Jean-Claude Blanc will transfrom the football club.
I’m quite excited about this fella joining United. I wasn’t keen on a state own club, who wants that? However, we all hate the Glazers, so hopefully these new guys can get us back to winning rather than those clowns being in charge of footie operations.
I've watched quite a few of your interviews, and have found them really enjoyable and informative, but I've never really warmed to any of the people you've interviewed ... until this one. He comes across so genuine to help and give his story, and he really made me feel that the little things really matter (which I get the opposite of in my job) and that's the right way to go if you want to be a high achiever. It drove home to me the amount I've been gaslighted for a long time by people who can't or don't want to achieve, and therefore don't want me to achieve and "outshine" them. I made two pages of A4 in notes of things I'm going to focus on and/or change. What a lovely, genuine man he is. To coin an over used phrase, we need a lot more in the world like him .... genuine
Listening to this today with the MUFC news on my mind. The points at 29 mins is very relevant to one or two in the current squad. Big and exciting changes to come.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I honestly feel a million times better than a person with this level of intelligence and skill in what he does is going to work for us.
These podcast always have me filled with motivation and passion, I’m currently trapped in sixth form doing A-levels that I hate and I’m dying to burst through the gates on my last day and be free. Thank you Steven for keeping me going and improving my life with these episodes I’ve found my fire again thanks to you 💙
We are more free than we think and often, we are in our own way....make the most of every job, you will learn more by working with others and applying yourself, unconditional life!
1.08.50 and for the next 90 seconds he looks close to tears, it looks like he's been hit by a train with that small question. Right there is the fact that you really can't have it all. What a wonderful interview.
If Sir David Brailsford cannot bring Manchester United back to the top, no one else would be able to. That amount of knowledge and experience is just mesmerizing and super impressive!

Views on this are about to sky rocket. Would recommend editing the title of the video and add the words “Man United”, DOAC team. Lot of fans will be interested in knowing him.
I only discovered your channel yesterday and I can't get enough. What great interviews with great people from a great host. I am very inspired and motivated to make big changes in my own life. Keep up the excellent work. Thank you.
I know Dave from Deiniolen i lived in Caernarfon and we all were friends, he has done outstanding work for cycling and he used to ride bikes all over north wales, and he enjoyed football as well, he will be an asset to UTD and he will do a great job sorting things out, keep up the good work dave or as we say Sir Dave catch up soon maybe your 60th next year brother, great pod cast
Sir David has narrowed the gap between mathematical incrementation in theory and psychological and physical optimisation in practice. He uses social and motivational techniques rather than abstract theory, it becomes accessible to all. This is his calling card.
Have I missed where you explain Why this introduction - 'I hope nobody's listening...?' I'm at the stage now where I binge-watch all your old episodes (luckily there is so many). I literally fall asleep to those. Helps so much to correct my destructive and anxious thoughts, perspective on life, affect that other people have on me, etc. Again, THANK YOU for what you're doing. It is an incredible way of giving back to the society xx
The godfather of Marginal Gains 👏people forget British Cycling was an absolute mess and joke before this guy came in. The dynasty he then helped shape and create is one of sport's greatest stories

What a man. Like a lot of United fans, I have been dubious about the 25% takeover from INEOS, but if we are getting men like Brailsford and Jean-Claude Blanc on board, that can only be a massive positive
15:43 I think it's a wonderful thing that from the struggles you went through in your younger days, like Brailsford did, you don't let that experience go to waste and instead build something that others can benefit from. Says a lot about Brailsford character in that regard.
This guy wants to win but to win with style over substance. Perfect fit for a club like Man Utd who wins but are adored by people by how they win. We need that back
It’s amazing how David has converted his background of relative isolation into the greatest success in Team Sports, particularly cycling. He keeps things simple and is modest.
Setting the week off right with the weekly fix! This podcast is such a highlight every Monday. I look forward to their release and always feel so inspired & motivated after listening to them!
Good morning everyone. Monday best day of the week. I'm waking up listening to the podcast Another interesting person who inspires us to think. All the best.
I was unsure about Sir Dave being part of the united rebuild. Obviously questioned his lack of football experience but hearing him speak is actually very motivating and for some reason I can feel it myself so I can only imagine what he must be like to work with.
best moment of this conversation was when David said a smile is marginal.... boooooom and thats the biggest win there is JOY, GRATTITUDE, LIFE! give thanks and spread love not for gains just because you are alive
Loved this episode. Never heard of marginal gains before, but I was practising it without knowing it. Small things matter, but not sweating the small stuff. Unlike the saying, practice doesn't make perfect but the compound makes it better. Great episode. Thank you.
A truly mesmerising episode, i was lucky enough for Steven to post my comment about this upcoming podcast in his stories, thank you Steven #daymade. I will be watching this many times over because it is rammed full of amazing, elite performance information, especially about goals, time stamp 39:00 mins to about 43:00 mins about set the goal as a dream "Leave the dream over there, but go after the things i can do, then base your plan around around the things you can actually control" this is dynamite. I remember a line from the book 'The One Thing' i think, where it says something like 'forget the goal, just work the system and you will smash the goal". Of all the episodes this is probably my all time favourite
It’s very easy to think that people in Dave’s position are all tyrants and rule their staff with a rod of iron. It’s quite clear that it is not the case here, and that calm thoughtful voice helps no end. His legacy is well documented, and although I’m no football fan, I really hope he can turn Man U’s fortunes around.
Very interesting. Great to hear a serious person speak of learning. I practice much of what he practices so it is always nice to have your outlook reinforced by someone so successful. One little point jumps out and that is the idea of learning and growing by small bits.
Notes and quotes from the podcast: "Perfection is so far away, and there is no point of aiming for it" "When you find your drive for study, you enjoy it" "You should always aim to achieve discretionary performance for as long as possible, as that is where the real results are" "Adding them through the day"
I think David will do amazing at utd. A lot more suited to football than he realises. Never a F1 man too many moving parts. David and Gary o Neil would be a fantastic partnership. Good luck
Wow another wow moment. Loved this one as I also love and adore cycling. Great job and I loved his praise and assessment of your value add on your platform and I truly value the podcasts. Thank you
Have been waiting and hoping that Dave would come on your pod. Delighted, great conversation, marginal gains, the 1%, loved every minute. Will listen a few more times before the weekend. Great Job Steven. Cheers 👍

I'm cautiously optimistic. #glazersout
@buffywhatever1093 who wants a club full of debts and a leaking roof ? Rather state of the art even if it is state owned

He sounds proper! Excited to see what he can bring to Man Utd. I like his philosophy, something we can apply to every day life.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I honestly feel a million times better than a person with this level of intelligence and skill in what he does is going to work for us.
Half the squad needs to go so while this guy will probably see the need to do that, he may not be able to do it given financial constraints
Fantastic conversation.
Also thank you for not flooding the podcast with adverts, it really helps with the flow.

Watching this 2 years Later. Can we thank you for Sir Dave coming to United?
Whats powerful for me is how EVERYBODY has something valuable to add to the lives of others. Steve respectfully your ability to identify and showcase that value is a gift you ought to be proud of above any synthetic achievements. Thank you.

This might be the best episode ever on this Podcast. Every sentence by Sir Dave is a nugget of wisdom
What a guy! So easy to listen to but also so worthy of listening to. I don’t know if he truly appreciates what a legend he is.
Amazing guy Dave Brailsford I have heard him live twice and each time he has been so calm and profound. This podcast is so good .
Sir David has narrowed the gap between mathematical incrementation in theory and psychological and physical optimisation in practice. He uses social and motivational techniques rather than abstract theory, it becomes accessible to all. This is his calling card.

Hey Anna, very common question - I believe I explain its origins in episode 94. Glad you're enjoying the episodes! x
The godfather of Marginal Gains 👏people forget British Cycling was an absolute mess and joke before this guy came in. The dynasty he then helped shape and create is one of sport's greatest stories
He's a legend!
Marginal gains gleaned from PEDs
Yup
Committment
discipline
no room for laziness
pride
respect
mental goals as drivers
are key points
Thank you for this podcast
Happy New Year
These are only a factor in a non team, non contact sport
In a team contact sport its about faith and faith only
You see in football you are not beating the opposing team, your beating Liverpool
And Anfield has more faith than all the money and theorizing in the world
Only the PGMOL can stop Liverpool and in the Morden game they have 3 other contracts, that are in line with stopping Liverpool
Sir David Brailsford is a world class performance director with a great understanding of football
I know nothing about sports coaching but a lot of what he says about how he coaches applies to many aspects of life.
🙌🏽
1:00:17 the marginal gains
1:08:33 the cost of obsession
i have really enjoyed listening to this guy 😊
"the cost of obsession" he was so emotional 😢
Sir David outlined the route to success in all goals.

This guy wants to win but to win with style over substance. Perfect fit for a club like Man Utd who wins but are adored by people by how they win. We need that back
I will be applying what I learned here to finishing up a PhD. Completely transferable teachings. Thanks for the inspiration.
He sounds like he knows how to succeed in sport. Looking forward to see what he brings to united

It’s amazing how David has converted his background of relative isolation into the greatest success in Team Sports, particularly cycling. He keeps things simple and is modest.

Loved this episode. Never heard of marginal gains before, but I was practising it without knowing it. Small things matter, but not sweating the small stuff. Unlike the saying, practice doesn't make perfect but the compound makes it better. Great episode. Thank you.
Any other united fans on a scouting mission ?
This video says it was released a year ago. He wasn't working at United in the beginning of last year...

United fan here 😁

Oh my gosh, all your podcasts are good but this one ✨☝️✨ so helpful for me and my little business // mindset. Thank you so much 🙏
Very interesting. Great to hear a serious person speak of learning. I practice much of what he practices so it is always nice to have your outlook reinforced by someone so successful. One little point jumps out and that is the idea of learning and growing by small bits.
Keep up the great great work Steven! You’re an inspiration to many! 🙌🏻 x
🙏🏽 thank you max, appreciate you watching
Once again, another brilliant discussion Steven. For me, it's another opportunity to take out my pen and note book and benefit.
Thanks 🙏
Marginal gains…Jordan Peterson has touched on this as a game changer

Great content, I always kick off my day with your podcast. Keep it going 👏🏾🔥
👊🏽 dope, love that
I think David will do amazing at utd. A lot more suited to football than he realises. Never a F1 man too many moving parts. David and Gary o Neil would be a fantastic partnership. Good luck
I was so confused did they change the title of the video now that this guy will be the new director? I thought it was a recent interview
I think its great Dominic Solanke got to sit down with Sir David
What a Gem of an interview. If the thumbnail had captured this very warm and genuine human being I would have clicked faster!
Wow another wow moment. Loved this one as I also love and adore cycling. Great job and I loved his praise and assessment of your value add on your platform and I truly value the podcasts. Thank you
