- Some people have tried scamming the HOV lane rules by using fake dolls to pass as people. But if you're not willing to drive with a dummy what are the rules for the HOV lane? We verify!

Why are tow truck drivers allowed in the HOV LANES? WHERE IS THE 2ND LIVING PASSENGER?.This just shows that they are letting the people who help them be favored.
If there is a accidient they can get the street free quicker i guess
Simple I will be very happy to answer your question 1year late lol a tow truck is considered a roadside emergency vehicle we work very close with law enforcement we assist the California highway patrol , local police department we are certified for some of us + have to be able to access /respond quickly any where/ time on the highway Incase you or anyone gets stranded or accident when our dispatch sends us a call / priority one emergency call so we are ready to respond get to the call fast and safely.
those lanes are stupid in general. :D Efficiency of highways in europe vs usa, less lanes, less traffic jams, no hov lanes, still no jams. :D
My first trip to Phoenix I had no idea what a diamond lane was and it was Christmas day. I'm driving up the 101 and get stopped. I was surprised.
The office was nice about it and explained that I needed a passenger or I would be ticketed. He already had the ticket book out. I turned around and shouted, "Honey, say HI to the nice officer".
My wife was sleeping in the back. WHAT? I woke her up.
The officer laughed, I laughed and he let me go.

When driving on the HOV lane, must have at least 2 or more people in the car, and exit of the freeway is limited at the certain time from Monday to Friday. Motorcycles do allowed on the HOV lanes in most areas, such as Seattle/Tacoma Washington, Phoenix Arizona, and Las Vegas Nevada, including future I-11 which is currently building. Detroit is planning to have HOV lanes on I-75 between 8 Mile Road (M-102) to Fort Street/Schaefer Road (M-85), and I-94 for most of Detroit, as well as I-96, but not too sure to have one.
The HOV lanes on I-75 in Oakland County, MI were activated about a year ago.

No. That "Unborn" child CANNOT drive a car and takes up the same amount of space. If you are trying to imply the unborn has "rights", then that is pointless because "rights" have limitations based on AGE.

Neither can three 13 year olds, but if they're being driven by an adult, it's still a high occupancy vehicle, isn't it? I don't see the relevance of your point.

no *I'm* not; the State is claiming that the foetus is a person, therefore, by making that claim, and simultaneously saying that a pregnant woman can't drive in a HOV lane, they are being hypocrites, and trying to have it both ways.

Nope. HOV is “High occupancy vehicle”. If they are carrying students then of course yes.

I've never found anything confusing about the HOV lanes. Then again I know how to read the signs with the times clearly posted. Same thing for the suicide lanes.
drive in the rightmost lane except while passing is already the law in FL 316.086 (2) and in the HOV lane you do not enter it unless you have passengers multiple people. High Occupancy Vehicle is what HOV stands for.

They ought to realize. that letting drivers use the extra lane as just another lane, because of the extra time on the road, would save more emissions than the actual HOV lane saves on emissions overall.They are using the HOV lanes to line their pockets. Also isnt a Freeway free? Why are they allowed to be paid by us using vehicles bought by us to ticket us for using a road built by us?The police are impeding the flow of traffic.

@@blackhorse8427 London don’t have room cos of bus lanes in tight roads, u find these in Birmingham for sure and they are as described, 2 or more in vehicle can use lane they are sold as profiting the environment and cutting congestion, ur reward in theory is u get about quicker like buses and taxis in their equivalent.

@@pineapplepenumbra u now have the same amount of cars in one lane rather than the intended design of half the cars in two lanes or as it’s only a civil offence punishable by fine u find lorries in that lane with one person in vehicle and they will just pay the fine cos they are late for delivery and the fine for lateness is more than fine for the lane. My summary is another cash cow operation.
