Tablet battery replacement hack

Replacing tablet battery with custom made battery from old cellphone.
This tablet had swollen battery and it was unsafe to keep it running that way, so something has to be done.

one question sir, if your original battery eg. 5000mah then you replace it with xiaomi phone battery which is around 2000mah, how about your tab read battery capacity?
still 5000mah or automatically read xiaomi battery?

Capacity is measured by voltage. LiIon battery is 3,6 or 3,7 nominal in this case is 3,8 and when is 100% charged it is 4,2v and empty is at 3v. So no matter what capacity you put in it will be read correctly. Only difference will be in battery life.

​@@ElectronicCreations facing problem after 70-80% capacity remain, my tab suddenly off, after rerplacing 6000mah bad battery with cheap 5800mah battery. after plugin charger it read empty - 0%. still curious is it wrong software reading or it need battery calibration or something?

Cheap battery is almost always fake battery. (ebay, aliexpress...) Better use old battery from broken phone at least you will have 80% what is stated on label. You can check my video ''Charging cellphone battery ~ Testing on BL-5C battery'' its about fake batteries with almost no capacity.
