  • A quick video on how I remove those pesky wrinkles out of our green screen. Using filtered/distilled water in a spray bottle, spray down the trouble areas and run a hot iron over the wrinkles.

    no "steam" on the iron? Would just putting the water in the Iron and doing that work?

    • @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks
      @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks  6 лет назад +4

      Yes, the iron I am using is a steam iron but it does not steam when its held in the upright position. If I were to lay the green screen out on a table and iron it the steam would work out just fine. GOOD QUESTION!!! 👊👍

    Just received a foldable greenscreen, it has indeed winkels, but I guess like you did will work fine, you had some serieus wrinkles on your screen

  • @XTesT15X
    @XTesT15X 4 года назад +4

    A couple questions.
    - How do you KEEP the winkles out, or is that even possible?
    - Do you recommend washing the green screen with your other clothes or on its own?
    - would a hairdryer work instead if you don’t have an iron?

    • @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks
      @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks  4 года назад +1

      The only way I keep the wrinkles out is keeping it hung up. If you fold it for storage it will wrinkle. I washed my green screen in cold water by it's self. Yes, the hair dryer will work if you do it while it's still wet. I hope this helps

    I expect that you can use an iron with an ironing board and attach the cloth to the frame, extending the frame upwards in stages as you go.

    What iron temperature with this technique? I ironed mine on an ironing board when I first got it and melted a small section luckily it was a bottom section.

  • @meouicmoi
    @meouicmoi 3 года назад +1

    Hi, nice video, thanks but you should mantion the material you use; coton , nylon ? temperature applyed on nylon may destroy the screen if it is to high

    • @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks
      @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks  3 года назад

      Yes, you are right!! The screen I have is mostly cotton, so I didn't even think to mention the heat issue.

    I have never once used an iron in my life. I have a 10x20 muslin green screen and have no idea what setting the iron should be set on. Also, I really don't know how long I should keep the iron in a single area. I hear muslin cloth can easily "glaze" if the iron is too hot or left in a single spot for too long.

    • @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks
      @MainelyAcresFarmBrooks  4 года назад

      You are correct you don't want to stay in one place too long. I would set it on the lowest setting and still have the steam option.

    • @markfothebeast
      @markfothebeast 4 года назад

      I sprayed it with distilled water and ironed it while it was hanging. I couldn't remove a single wrinkle even with the hottest setting.
      I tossed it in the washer on cold/cold with a tiny bit of detergent and "handwash" mode. I put it in the dryer on "delicate" and low heat. Still had wrinkles.
      I washed it again but let it air dry in the hanging position. The wrinkles are still there but not as much as before.
      It appears that washing helped balance out the green color. It's not something I noticed until I let it air dry and projected lighting to it.
      I will try to iron the wrinkles out on an ironing board next. Having it hanging didn't seem to allow me to apply much pressure.

      @mark.. we know that G-d will lead to you to read this as this was G-ds will for you to read this.
      This world is a lie and satan are hiding G-d through cosmology, age and who the one true G-d is and our Messiah. The churches, and "jehovas witnesses" are both teaching a false "jesus". Dont trust anything in this world temporarily run by the adversary for our trial. This life one and only sole purpose is for your trial for either G-ds coming eternal Kingdom or eternal death.
      Nasa, New age and the "Trinity" is the same sunworship. Worshipping of "stars"(false idols) are the same sun-worship as stars in the sunworship doctrine "Helios-centrism" are suns. Both the gnostic "Hellywood" and "Muse-ic"-industry are the adversarys forum and using against mankind. The actors are just a product of satans plan of hiding G-d and making man worship the creation of G-d instead of G-d himself.
      G-d has a salvation-plan for you that is for 7000year or 7days because one day is as 1000year for G-d according to the Bible and this life are a trial that G-d has had in planned since beginning.
      Dont fall for the evil ones "riches" of the world as it is chasing the wind and just as water under the bridge. Dont sell you life to him as this is empty and vanity temptation. You are being tried and this that happened to you shows G-d has called you. You know have a chance to turn around from the adversary temptation, G-d has a plan for you, put your trust in him.
      We pray for you that you humbles to the true G-d according to the Bible through his son the one true non trinity and non preexistent by G-d exalted man Messiah Jesus.
