Well you can work out and build muscle. What he’s talking about is different types of training and techniques that go beyond building more than just muscle but making other parts of the body stronger. Example you can help build other muscle groups as well by incorporating legs cause it will help the body produce other hormones including testosterone which helps with muscle growth.
Not really. He's talking about bone density and tendon strength. You don't get that from standard weight lifting. The bone density development comes from repetitive impact and tendon strength comes from intense stretching and resistance training. He did this first so that his muscles could withstand far heavier loads and become much stronger than simply lifting weights alone.

@@Ten_Mil_Willthat’s called a tendon which is composed of dense regular connective tissue, which looks like a bunch of parallel and tightly packed collage fibers.
Their hands are still much stronger than ours. Many times they go into a fight with a preexisting injury. Also, sometimes they don't heal right and it can become chronic. What he's saying is legit. The best example, to me, is the Thai fighters out of Thai Land. They start out kicking rubber trees with their shins every day. After years of this, they are truly super human. When they go shin on shin with someone that doesn't do the same training they snap the guy's shin regularly.
@@Chris-k7z They aren't stronger, it's simply just a bad analogy. If they go into a fight with a pre-existing injury that means they still injured their hand whilst wearing gloves and hitting a padded object, or injured it punching a sparring partner whilst wearing even more padded gloves than they do in a sanctioned fight. The thai boxer boxer shins is a much better analogy, that's actually true. For this reason I punch (gently) and hit my hand at all angles against a wall regularly, so I don't break them in a street fight (as a former amatuer boxer)
@@ScorpionSuerte I see the point your making, but I'm still not convinced. I'll say this, when you consider the rigors a boxer puts his hands through every day, I think it's probably a much lower percentage getting injured than if you just snatched a bunch of regular joes off the street and put them through a camp. BUT, this just occured to me. You may be right, and I'm thinking that maybe because they never do any training without wraps, and tape, and 16 oz gloves, this could be keeping the hands from getting tougher... IDK now.
@@Chris-k7z I'll meet you half way. Maybe _despite_ the wraps and padding they still get _slightly_ stronger hands, but because they punch so much harder than a regular man they will usually break when punching bare fist. I forgot, I also punch bags and pads with no gloves at less than full power. This is a way under-appreciated training method, which helps with correct form as well.
This doesnt make any sense. A professional boxer is actually more likely to break his hands hitting a cement wall because he can punch astronomically harder than a non-trained person.
Exactly these clowns are picking apart his words. I'm pretty sure they are not even in the same universe as this guy. When you have those results everyone else shuts their mouth and listens or just don't listen and go do something else.
The hand Is not made for punching things and the only things youll achieve of you try to strenghten It is deformities and inability to do movements and micromovements that the hand can normally do

Yeeeeaaahhh they post shit like this and he’s talking about stuff that has some truth, fighters/martial arts train to have strong hand/wrists/arms, but this guy is on gear (performance enhancing drugs), and that’s where the super humannesses comes from. And he absolutely did the work too, but c’mon😂🤦🏻♂️🤣🤦🏻♂️ sadly these people are essentially insecure and have body dysmorphia and it’s a vicious cycle of making themselves look more muscular or “better” and they can’t stop….
So I spent a decade conditioning for fights and what GigaChad is missing here, is that your bones don't become superhuman - the density shifts from another space in the structure. When you condition your shins, the other side of the bone's surface weakens. Worst of all, if you stop training for long enough, the total density is reduced entirely, making the entire shin-bone less sound and more brittle. This is why retired champion kickboxers get their legs snapped, if they return without adequate care and training. Muscles are not like bones. They are very different structures. Treat them accordingly.
It’s been so much controversy about him. Let me tell you he’s been doing it for a long time. He has looked great for a long time. Everybody uses stuff. He is doing much more than that. Intelligent muscle should be a new term.
@ well I agree, but it’s his prerogative. Bottom line is he’s not going up and down and I don’t see any abscesses over the years so however, he is doing whatever. He’s doing it better than the rest.
Did Mike O'Tren actually say that boxers don't break their hands when they hit walls with 1000lb of pressure? 😂 The purpose of boxing gloves is to protect the hands, not so much the opponent's face. Tissues can be conditioned but not to the extent he's imagining.
Yeah, but there's an easy explanation to that: when you take testosterone, the muscles really do appear as a side-effect. There was a study - a number of guys who didn't take anything, just trained for 7 weeks. A group of guys who both trained and took testosterone (but much less then these bodybuilders actually take), and the group that just took testosterone and didn't train. First group acquired 2kg of muscle mass, second 7 - and most surprisingly - the third one 4 kg. But it makes sense, the animals, gorillas for example, they never really train but get incredibly jacked. Why? Higher level of testosterone.
So, if he was taking testosterone (which steroids really are) - and he surely did - he did experience muscle growth as a side-effect, not the result of his true effort.
I was expecting this kind of comment What I hate about the word "superhuman" is that if you're defining it as "doing something beyond what a human can do" and a human can do it, then by definition it isn't superhuman. A human definitionally can't do anything superhuman. It's like "doing the impossible," an oxymoron on its face, yet is still something people unironically say because the idea has utility in describing something that is real. No one is coming out and saying "Erm acktshually ☝️🤓 if someone does it it's not impossible" Superhuman obviously has a colloquial meaning, describing feats that so thoroughly exceed the norms of human ability that they stand on a class of their own Saying "It's just adaptation" adds even less to the conversation than saying it's superhuman. You either don't know or don't accept the way other people use language, neither of which I have any respect for.
@@Jay_Hendrix Your body adapts to environmental stresses as well as physical, it’s the same as saying someone who builds muscle is superhuman. It’s merely your body adapting to the resistance training. Could care less how you feel about it honestly.

💪🏻 I agree 100% .. Amazing guy !!
Boxers break their hands almost every time they punch without gloves, and often times even with gloves.
Andy Ruiz last fight is good evidence

Brain damage from boxing
So I spent a decade conditioning for fights and what GigaChad is missing here, is that your bones don't become superhuman - the density shifts from another space in the structure.
When you condition your shins, the other side of the bone's surface weakens. Worst of all, if you stop training for long enough, the total density is reduced entirely, making the entire shin-bone less sound and more brittle. This is why retired champion kickboxers get their legs snapped, if they return without adequate care and training.
Muscles are not like bones. They are very different structures. Treat them accordingly.
He’s for real. Been into health and body building his whole life. Even Arnold knows him.
Very well done sir, this is spot on. Thank you
It’s been so much controversy about him. Let me tell you he’s been doing it for a long time. He has looked great for a long time. Everybody uses stuff. He is doing much more than that. Intelligent muscle should be a new term.

Did Mike O'Tren actually say that boxers don't break their hands when they hit walls with 1000lb of pressure? 😂
The purpose of boxing gloves is to protect the hands, not so much the opponent's face.
Tissues can be conditioned but not to the extent he's imagining.

Mike is the best. He should get into acting.
He's talking about gaining muscle as a side effect of strength training, while his biceps are the size of watermelons
Thank you
@@DrDomich gorillas are also vegan, and vegans have higher test, lower fat, lower estrogen

That’s not superhuman power 🤦♂️ it’s merely adaptation
Yes but stronger than average humans
I was expecting this kind of comment
What I hate about the word "superhuman" is that if you're defining it as "doing something beyond what a human can do" and a human can do it, then by definition it isn't superhuman. A human definitionally can't do anything superhuman.
It's like "doing the impossible," an oxymoron on its face, yet is still something people unironically say because the idea has utility in describing something that is real. No one is coming out and saying "Erm acktshually ☝️🤓 if someone does it it's not impossible"
Superhuman obviously has a colloquial meaning, describing feats that so thoroughly exceed the norms of human ability that they stand on a class of their own
Saying "It's just adaptation" adds even less to the conversation than saying it's superhuman.

Wolff's law states that healthy bones will adapt to the stress placed upon them, meaning that if a bone experiences increased loading, it will remodel itself over time to become stronger and better withstand that load; essentially, bones will naturally reconstruct themselves to accommodate heavier stresses placed on them.
