In fact, I'm going to show you over 30 of them! We'll visit a State Park, beaches, a lighthouse, amusement park, water park, breweries, a winery, a distillery, go boating, sailing, hiking, visit museums, the zoo, and see two great hotels.     I used to live in Erie in 1986 and left that year. Haven't been back since. Its refreshing to see most of the things since then are still there. I have to plan a trip to go back there someday soon.

    We have a permanent camp at Sara's I'm up there all summer. Scott Park is my favorite place to stroll around. The trees in that forest are HUGE!!!

    My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites. We booked the most expensive room in the hotel, just below Oliver's restaurant. The room was great with an excellent view and the food at Oliver's was incredible.

    Also for any of you hippies out there like me who like tiedye n music iconic of the 60s n more the the dead pink Floyd etc u need to visit grasshopper downtown is my favorite!! U have all ur heart desires tie dyes rugs, stickers, incense and so much more..u wont b disappointed I'm a 2 hr drive from erie but i make sure i visit every trip. Which we come every year black Friday weekend!! Hope u all check them out they have 2 stores the one by waldameer is cool but def not the downtown shop...go hit this small business up if i recall right they have been in business since the 70s

    I love to go to Presque Isle in summer on windy days. The lake gets waves and it cools you off. Great kite flying days. Always hit Franks in Fairview for flowers, produce and decorations.

    Terrific video on what to do in Erie, PA. You left out the two most important places to visit there. Syd's restaurant (delicious lake perch) and Hoss' steak house known for their all you can eat buffet and ..... well ... steaks!

    Grew up there kerasarge? Boy has this city grew no more sleepy town what happened to the dock used to be bleach burnout galore left in 82 time has changed it amazing

    Nice ... good video ... Erie Is my home town and I too like the Sheraton ... Try the Courtyard Marriott next time, another of my favorites. I visit my sister usually a couple of times per year!

      @@AndysAwesomeAdventures also if u arent going to bayfront we have tradition of shopping at Millcreek mall over black Friday weekend the ppl at town place suites next to mall interchange road cant be beat its clean breakfast a plus n the service is always amazing!! We always stay there made mistakes of trying other places but town place is it!!0

    Great video but the hotel situation is my only hangup, the choices and price are a little over the top for that area. I've stayed in places around all the world, I don't mind paying for things that are worth it but I'm not going to give it away because people think you have to charge way more than needed. That's why so many decide to stay around the Millcreek mall area at more affordable accommodations.

    When my friend and I in Erie, PA, We like to eat at a local chain restaurant called Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. Delicious food there!

      @@vertov76 Unfortunately, we only have one Cheddars in the Chicago area (not counting the one in Kenosha, WI) but thankfully plenty of Olive Gardens despite the presence of numerous stand-alone Italian restaurants all over.

    Even though we are home to the poorest zip code in the entire United States of America.. I still love where I live! I'm an eriite through and through! I remember when we were an industrial town and had a higher population. It saddens me to see what Erie is today!

      I rarely make it to Erie. I'm in Lake City, between it and Girard, I have plenty of places to shop and buy groceries.

    PI and the bayfront are really the only attractions in Erie. Dont get caught on the east side after sundown

      It’s not great on east side of city but anywhere else is as safe as can be . There are no hoods, just rougher areas at night but still not a ton of shootings , once again only on the east side of the city of Erie , mill creek is great

    Most everything is in Millcreek or sumitt the brig is hardly ever in Erie

      I don't think so, but there is a museum in Hornell, NY.

      There's the nearby Lake Shore Railroad Museum in North East, PA. It has numerous locomotives that were built at the General Electric locomotive works at Erie, PA such as a huge "Little Joe," electric locomotive (4+D+D+4) from the Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad.

    The number 1 thing to do in Erie is get the heck out of there and go to a real city like Pittsburgh Buffalo or even Cleveland if you're desperate
