As the executive director of the Centralia Visitors Center and Gas Station I invite the entire world to come and visit our wonderful town and gas station.
I'm from PA and we do have a lot of nice stuff. Also I would recommend going to the horseshoe curve in Altoona plus going to the Johnstown flood museum

Fellow Pennsylvanian here. I’m in the mountains in the north central part of the state.
I think the Lincoln highway and if you have the money nemacolin woodlands resort are both worth taking the time to visit.
The Lehigh Valley ( Bethlehem, Allentown and Easton) offers many cultural and wonderful events. With Musikfest, the Great Allentown Fair and the Crayola Factory not to mention Dorney Park, Historical Bethlehem and Easton's State Theatre you can find something for all ages.
Cherry Springs State Park, Jumonville Cross, Ft Necessity Battlefield, Laurel Caverns, Penns Cave, Little Grand Canyon, and Ohiopyle are just a few others I thought I would mention

A few more worthy spots: Kinzua Bridge SP & nearby Elk County, road trip on route 6, Lititz (part of Dutch Country but worth a visit all on its own), Wayne County for small town / rural charm.

Only the graffiti highway is gated. You can still drive around the former town

Yes the ground is to unstable had to close down Rt 61 and detore around it. Still stinks as it did 30 years ago. Huge coal vain that for sure.As it's burning now they expect it to burn at least another 250+ years
You can still drive through the town center but the graffiti highway is gated- still interesting to drive around the neighboring roads which are growing in and returning to nature

Replace Centralia with the Lehigh Valley:
Martin Guitar, Dorney Park, Crayola and a host of other things to see and do.
Philly has an enormous amount of murders and hit and runs every day -i cannot go back to some of the best restaurants. i came to live nearby from boston area and my wife has me lock the door at nite!

Why would Dallas make the list lol. There's absolutely nothing to do there. Wilkes barre is better and WB ain't no paradise.
@@jjwhy321y3 I know there is little to do there. I currently live in Birmingham, Michigan. I’ve been here since 1970 and I enjoy the area. I’m 77 years of age .
It’s not three rivers converging in Pittsburgh. It’s only the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers converge to form the Ohio river.
I would replace Centralia with Ligonier PA and also give a nod to Fallingwater, both better places to visit.
Little League Baseball Museum and site of Little League World Series. Williamsport , PA.
I wouldn't consider Hershey or Allentown area too exciting. The biggest perk, its close to Philly. Bethlehem looks better, especially around Xmas.

The Whole Country has so to offer way travel anywhere else. I spent over 50 years looking at the USA through a windshield. Iv put on over 5 million miles in this country alone. Now retired in seeing more up close and personal places where i can stop and smell the coffee instead of just rolling by. No interest in Europe & saw all of South east Asia and Pacific islands i can handle. Beautiful places but not interested. Want to see our America up close and personal before it's gone.🇺🇸
