      @@Braincho Absolutely might revisit this video in the future with hc alternatives and go into which classes are cheaper/easier
      Imo, the cheapest and easiest classes for this (goes for hc too) are Barb/Druid/Paladin. Easy to get high ar, max res, and good damage with cheap uniques and runewords.
      Basic stuff thats good for hc will also apply to this as well. Max phys% reduction, overcapped resistances, max block. Sacrificing ~10-15% damage sucks, but for the best shot at surviving in hc, it's definitely worth. You can check out the wiki for PD2 and look at gear yourself or just ask around the discord for some advice.
      I've started a HC series of this mod myself. I'm not super far into it, and I've been putting off playing it for a while, but I do plan on doing it some more in the future.

    Nice showcase! Ive never done rathma before. Good to see how the classes struggle at times (necro, seems super squishy there lol). Probably need this video in 1-2 seasons if i want to try it then!

      Thanks! It's definitely a tough fight. From my experience Sorc is the worst by far, Necros damage was amazing but he is pretty squishy. Imo the melee classes are by far the easiest to gear up and fight with (Jab, Fury, Frenzy)

    Ty for vid, in your opinion which build do u think is the easiest to gear and fight rathma safely and speedily with overall?

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  6 месяцев назад +1

      Either fury druid, desecrate necro, or jab zon.
      Lightning sentry comes close too, but it took me a bit before i actually beat rathma with it (skill issue on my part) I was actually exceedingly drunk in the assassin part of this video when i beat him for the first time, so it can't be that hard right? Trap assassin requires good trap placement so they shoot the right thing. If you're good with traps, then i would include that.

    Cool but wondering why you use LoH on the druid?

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  5 месяцев назад

      I don't exactly remember. Likely for the IAS and/or fire res. Fury Druid doesn't need crazy gear to do silly amounts of damage and loh is plenty good enough in most scenarios in my opinion.

    Can you tell me why some of the small charms are different colors?

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  8 месяцев назад

      Those specific charms are color coded for their res. Theyre all 20 life, 11 res. I took only what I needed to overcap my res to ~120. They were made by BetweenWalls who updates a stash with every conceivable item you could want to test for stuff in pd2. I used that stash + some characters. Unfortunately with pd2 being in crafters league when I made this, I couldnt make runewords in more optimal bases

      I originally planned on going into detail of all the gear and strategy of the fight as a whole as well as including more than 1 build for each character, but the video would've been ~5 hours. 0:40, excuse me, "Death Hand" gloves? Why?

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  8 месяцев назад +1

      75% poison length reduction. Mendeln's poison is one of the most dangerous things in this encounter. Ideally you'd want plr from corruptions on other pieces of gear, but I couldn't be bothered to spend hours corrupting gear to show it off. Venom Ward chest, Death's Hand gloves, and Snakecord belt give you minimum poison length as well as 85% poison res which is very good (I used those 3 items on Assassin, Necro (minus gloves for Trangs) and the Sorceress

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  8 месяцев назад +1

      I know you could argue that using soul drainer or some other gloves that gives you more damage is better, and while that might be the case, the gear I chose for this video isn't about being completely optimal. I went with things that are relatively easy to acquire even for a ssf player (like myself) and could still complete the fight.
      The basic list of stuff you want for Rathma is:
      -85% - 90% Poison and Cold res
      -overcapped resistances (~120 to counter Mendeln's Lower Resist)
      -at least 50% plr
      -some MDR
      -at least 1800 life with BO
      -after that, it's all about damage (big ED weapons for Melee, + to skills for Casters)

    I'm assuming these builds can easily handle normal uber bosses?

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  5 месяцев назад

      Yes, minus the blizzard sorc and lightning assassin. I would swap those over to meteor for the sorc and blade fury for the assassin. (I do not recommend using a sorc for ubers unless your gear is crazy)
      The gear is definitely overkill for normal ubers, but most of what i used is fairly easy to obtain, even for sp players.

    Kinda unrealistic to get these gear. You modded them?

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  4 месяца назад +1

      The gear is not modded. It's stuff that is obtainable in Project Diablo 2; and I wouldn't say the gear is unrealistic either.
      Yes, most of the gear is rolled perfect, but to counter that a lot of it isn't corrupted. And I'm not using any super crazy crafted weapons or mega rare items either (the druid is using a ribcracker!!)
      The only character I think is fair to judge the quality of gear is the Sorceress. She does have Obsession and a bunch of +skill charms, but every other character has things that are very reasonable (aside from a COA or 2, but cheaper alternatives are almost just as good)
      There are plenty of videos of people demoing stuff and they have inventories of perfect charms, perfect corruptions on really good crafted and rare gear that you have to spend 8+ hours a day for the whole ladder to get. This isn't anywhere close to that.
      Yes better players can do it with worse gear. Yes some of the stuff might be on the more expensive/rare end compared to other (usually slightly worse) options. The point of this video was simply to show off all the characters doing the Rathma fight with pretty reasonable gear.

  • @chrishope8379
    @chrishope8379 8 месяцев назад

    your character stats dont even make sense.. how can you have 499 vit and 174 st on a sorc and still have 50 dex and 90 energy. All your character stats seem boosted. And if thats the case how do these people do this boss within 1 week or less without GG gear?

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  8 месяцев назад +4

      24 vitality is from gear, 20 strength is from marrowwalk. Not sure what torch and anni was giving, but that accounts for a bunch of stuff. Some of the char levels are also a bit high, like the Sorc is 96. I will admit the Sorc gear is a bit much compared to the other chars. I didn't try to make all the gear as cheap as possible, and some builds are just better at killing bosses on way worse gear (Amazon, Druid). The Sorc isn't great at it because of how squishy she is and I don't think most players doing this fight within 1 week of ladder start are doing it on a Sorc.
      That all being said, I'm not a Diablo 2 expert (nor a Project Diablo 2 expert) and this video was my first time even doing the Rathma fight. Yes, better players can do this fight with way worse gear. I just wanted to make a demonstration video of this fight that included all characters so none were left out. I don't remember the order of characters I did, but Sorc was probably one of the first ones I did when I was the worst at the fight. If I redid it now, the gear would look much more reasonable for the Sorc. Every other class I'm pretty okay with how the gear looks though, maybe a few changes for some of them but not much.

    all of ur builds are not valid, u have perfect rolls, u didnt show any of ur charms, i assume they perf 20lifers ress and stuff, so ur mid tier builds have nothing to do with reality

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  3 месяца назад +1

      They are perfectly valid as all the gear is obtainable and none of it is crazy rare/expensive. Yes they all have perfect rolls, however most of it isn't corrupted or the corruptions are bad and could be better. Yes the charms are perfect, however I do not have a full inventory of them (except the sorc). I stopped stacking them when my res was overcapped enough to stop the lower resist. This is absolutely mid tier gear. There are plenty of demo builds with much rarer and better gear.

    • @NataniMagi
      @NataniMagi  3 месяца назад +1

      My point of making this video was both for learning how to do the fight for myself and seeing how "bad" I could make the gear and still consistently complete the fight. Yes, better players can do it with worse gear, however I feel that what I used is reasonable enough (minus the sorc gear)

    • @PDGCZARO
      @PDGCZARO 3 месяца назад +1

      @@NataniMagi i understand but those charms are rare/expensive but eq is mid, so this not valid nor good way to learn cuz if u got money to get those charms u already have enough money for better gear, for example the difference between for like 10x 11res scs vs 10x 20l 11res scs is colossal in the end in terms of price/usefullnes
