I have a Romahome which I use on weekends. May I suggest you get the book Brit Stops it gives you all the pubs, restaurants, vine yards, brewers farms, where you can stay in there car park or land for the days and nights for nothing. I have the 2023 issue which is great. All the best.Chris from Deal in Kent.
Hi Bob and Jenny, loved looking around the vans with you both, the Burford looked a lovely van for you both, then you showed us the Broadford which was beautiful. Thank you for showing us around , Willian looked a lovely place to visit, Poppy knew when it was time to visit the pub for lunch, which looked yummy x
22:55 I might be weird, but I am not a fan of automatic. I might be in the minority but I like the feeling of driving and having full control over it. I appreciate that some people have moved to automatic and would never change back to manual. A great video and some fine looking vehicles.
I love it when you go back to Hitchin and Letchworth. We used to live on the outskirts of Hitchin with the Harkness Rose nurseries across the road - looking at the map it looks like that’s where Hitchin Caravans are located. Happy memories - it was around 1979-80
Hi Bob and Jenny, the Broadway is 6.36 metres and there's the option to have it on the fiat chassis for the automatic gearbox. We are thinking of changing ours to the automatic. Hope to see you soon if you're going to hermanfest x
Bob sorry to communicate over this video however I don't use twitter or facebook. The info below is very important to all motohomers with a Ducato where not an A Class. Water apparently constantly ingresses over the engine and drips onto the plastic engine cover. Anyway I thought this was fine as that's what the cover is there for. But no ! Removing this I discovered corrosion starting on the injectors connectors so please take a look yourself and maybe make a video for your substantial following. Below is my post I replied to the kind man who made me aware of this impending serious issue. Mike Thanks so much for highlighting this. I have a 2019 Ducato motorhome and after removing the black plastic cover which is quite easy I discovered rust forming on the injector nuts as you describe so thank you so much for the advanced warning. To protect against any further water ingress which appears impossible to stop dripping from various orifices above I have customer formed some strong Alcathene plastic to add more protect other than the supplied plastic cover. I have taken note not to allow this anywhere near anything hot. Anyway that sorted to stop future water I then proceeded to rectify the rusting nuts and associated injector coupling. WD40 is not permanent enough so I advise you use ACF50 designed to kill rust, protect and dispel moisture, and provide a future corrosion protective layer. Now ACF50 was designed for the aircraft industry for moisture and corrosion protection and removal. Its sold in spray cans and plastic bottles. The spray cans block up too easy so pay the little extra and buy the bottle. Its not cheap but it will solve the problem. Then check every year clean and apply a little more with a brush. www.mandp.co.uk/products/acf-50-anti-corrosion-formula-1-litre-bottle-k-547736 To remove the plastic hood originally fixed first unclip the little pipe attached on the LHS, then pull with purpose at the rear middle, LHS and then pull sideways away from the final fixing on the RHS. Carefully remove the hood and inspect. This is just a push fit so your not going to break anything. Just watch out when removing the cover you don't knock any electrical connectors. Anyway job done and now part of my annual check. Thank you once more. Mike
Good to see Venture in Hitchin. We bought our Elddis CV from the Daventry branch but we use the Hitchin one for servicing as we live much nearer. They have been really helpful and after sales has been excellent. The on site garden centre is also handy with a very nice cafe inside too. Your pub lunch looked lovely!
We went to Venture Caravans Hitchin, on Easter Sunday to look at caravans, but encountered the same problem as you........they were all locked. Surely it must affect their sales. We ended up going on a hike to White Arches, but they were shut (in the middle of their Easter Extravaganza!!), & then carried on to Venture Caravans in Daventry, where we wandered freely in & out of the vans
Hi Bob & Jenny - we have the Burford Duo which is the same but with two single beds. We love it and that is probably a layout you would maybe prefer? We have been incredibly impressed with the build quality compared with our previous van.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo We thought we needed the garage but we have found that we have lots of space. The only major things we have had to do is replace our Vango inflatable windbreak with a Pronto 4, and get chairs that fold smaller. Everything else goes in no problem. We bought covers for our Wastemaster and aquaroll to keep the bedroom clean while we travel. When we arrive they go outside anyway.
Well when are going to get one , you wouldn’t go wrong one , we went for the same make and model and love the space for the dogs to lay around init at night tim
We’re away in our van and we were parked next to a Burford. I know it’s on the Mercedes base but I still prefer the Broadway. I know you have to make the bed up but that’s OK me. The only thing is, I need somewhere to store my Duvalays. I have the Devon you reviewed at the Peterborough show and we can get both of our chunky Duvalays under the bar! 🤣 I noticed David on Vandromeda has the amazing Mercedes AutoSleeper but he has his Duvalays in the shower. Such a shame in that fantastic motorhome. Anyway, thanks for sharing another great video. Hitchin looked great.
Great vlog Bob that Burford is a top quality British Van if you get the opportunity can you do a review of the Autosleeper Broadway EL i would love to hear what you think of that Van many thanks
@@BobEarnshawMoHo thanks Bob really appreciated and i am guessing by yours and Jenny's remarks you liked the van which tells me all i need to know, safe travels to you both
Lovely motorhomes and That’s a good price on the Burford most dealers round here have already put the price up to £106k 😮 Hopefully see you all at Peterborough 😉 Stay Safe 😜👍
Always strange to see you on my patch. Drinking at my local 😂 We were at Ventura yesterda looking at those vans and the Adamo. All so nice!! From your description I guess you used to live on the lordship?
The Burford would really suit you both. But you like the single beds and they do a Burford duo which gives you a similar layout to yours. They are expensive vans but that van is stunning!! We used to have a Autosleeper Broadway and the quality was top totch. Are you tempted?😊
Bob I notice Jenny in particular liked the Broadway but you wanted auto… what about the Mercedes version of that? I think it’s the Bourton I can’t remember. Yes they are sooo expensive are Autosleepers. One of the reasons we went with Autotrail when we upgraded. However we are really happy with Autotrail the layout of the RB suits us brilliantly but will forever miss the special little luxury touches of our older Autosleeper Broadway. I can really see you guys in one of these vans. You only live once Bob and Jenny. We are at the show this weekend too looking forward to it as we’ve never been to this show before. The rain needs to clear off though 😂
Always appreciate your motorhome reviews Bob. When we were buying our Burstner we looked at a model on a Mercedes chassis but settled on a Fiat due in part to the way the rear wheels are inset. The same on the Burford; it just does not look as though it would drive well. Have you driven one and compared it to a Fiat chassis? - we did not get the opportunity. Added to this the interior, particularly the upholstery, looks like my grandmother's front room!
That’s my pet hate - and our 2 nearest dealers are the same, all caravans and motorhomes locked up. It puts you off going for a look around as you don’t want the salesman breathing down your neck for a sale if you ask to look inside!
I think you mean refillable gas, self filling would be very useful, you'd never run out 😁 I've hesitated on getting refillable tanks because the amount we used doesn't justify the cost. If we spent more time off hook up, maybe. But the the trouble now is finding places to refill as petrol stations are removing the LPG pumps for EV charging, so no I'm not convinced. I'm not keen on diesel heaters either.
Ohhhh that Burford 😍 very nice! Thanks for showing us, Em 💜
It was, wasn't it

I feel that in a sporty car, a manual box appeals, but driving a long distance in an automatic gearbox motorhome is less tiring than in a manual.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo maybe I have to try one someday after 9 hours across France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Without buying one how would I know!
Good video, motorhomes were lovely inside ,shower room very nice, toilet abit high , Poppy new the word pub, and she was ready to go, food look good,
Oh, Poppy knows the word pub, it means food... 😊
Lovely motorhomes, but very expensive 😅! I love how the sat nav goes 'beware, watch your speed' 😂

Hitchin Caravans are located at the Rose Nurseries. Jenny’s parents moved to Letchworth in 1984 and lived in a bungalow near Spring Road.

No, I I've not driven one, love to know if they are worth the extra. Yes, think some of the colours are a bit dated.
I think the Venture site for Daventry must be out of date as they dont sell Adria any longer. Live 2 miles from them
Didn't see any Adria at Hitchin either.

If you want auto Broadway, Autosleeper do it on the Fiat!
With auto.
Can you drive the auto sleeper burford on a normal car license please
No, it's MTPLM is 4100kg, so you would need a cat C1 on your licence.
Can I have it please😂
Need a loan for that price of first motorhome you went in
Shame they are so dated and no auto except on the Mercedes
You can opt for a Fiat Automatic on Auto-Sleepers.
