Marion Loesch we don’t get paid for this. I’m from Kamehameha Schools currently. Choir is such a big thing in our sku. We have about 100-200 people trying out for a part in choir. Being from Kamehameha you’re basically supposed to be a natural-born singer 💀😂

I know Disney wants to earn BIG bucks from firms like The Avengers but these are made by other people! Disney needs to go back to making their own classics instead of stuff like The Lone Ranger. not only do you honor Walt Disney it earns profits too! Please Disney?!

The children's chorus sang he mele no lilo, they sang the entire song and a section of it is absent in the movie and mark keli'i ho'omalu only sings it alone and then the chorus comes back to join him.

@dardarbinx07 It's not unfair. The school gives a quality education that can be found in many other places. The only difference is that it was founded to protect the hawaiian race, and so the culture is also taught there. So much was almost lost forever because the American government restricted hawaiians from their own culture and language. Now the school can help the culture resurface.

@dardarbinx07 Actually there has been non-hawaiians who have been accepted fairly recently (at least on the Maui campus). It is merely a preference for the people of Hawaiian decent first. After all who qualify of Hawaiian decent are accepted, if there is space left, they will admit non-hawaiians.
As an Alumni there is so much that the school does to ensure that the Hawaii culture is perpetuated while preparing us for the real world. And it's all thanks to one woman. Bernice Pauahi Bishop.

@dardarbinx07 Umm sorry but the US government has restriced our ancestors to basically do anything when it was our land and our culture but we were being overthrown. This school was founded so that us Hawaiians can practice our culture lean more about the culture and learn how to speak our language. Its sad that we don't know our own language but it because our ancestors were forced to speak english. I support Kamehameha schools and their mission to bring back the Hawaiian culture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree, I think it is cultural preservation. If, let's say, the Chinese took over and ruled Ireland and the Irish there started a school to preserve their heritage and culture it would be no different, imho.
