While F1 will unfortunately have more US races, teams who want to be competitive will still be based in Europe. Europe is closer to the ME where a number of rounds are held as well as there being a significant portion of the mid season in Europe. If you seriously want to work in F1 you need to be prepared to move to Europe, otherwise you’re just wasting your time.

Andretti have shown more passion and fervor for F1 since their entry bid than Haas have in the last 5 years (aside from the couple of good moments from 2022). I really hope they become an 11th team, just to show Haas up.
As an American and a big Andretti fan, this is very exciting to hear. The more Andretti proves his commitment to F1, the more foolish FOM looks for keeping him out.
All this stuff is proving that Andretti is being serious and as long as the FIA and GM are backing them , they will make this happen and show up the F1 board.
Why would these team have any decision regarding this anyway? The whole FOM chicanery is ridiculous. The sport is under the FIA reglementations, let the FIA decide alone, simple
There is already room for Andretti no matter what the other teams say. They all signed the Concorde agreement that states up to 12 teams can enter F1. So Dominicali just tell the 10 teams this very simple fact or suggest seriously he will remove a current team unless uphold the agreement they already signed, simple! F1 or FOM are just plain scared of Andretti coming in and blowing away most of the current teams within 2 seasons. Especially Mercedes and McLaren. Red Bull and possibly Ferrari are the only current teams who would be ahead. McLaren would a laughing stock if Andretti comes in and produces a great car using the wind tunnel McLaren stated wasn’t good enough to build a good car. Zac Brown should be ignored as he isn’t a team owner, or even a team manager. They are .middle East owned with a Spanish team manager. No sure where motor mouth Brown actually fits into the hierarchy. He doesn’t design anything, or build anything and the team have never made their own power unit. So good were they that even with the Honda engine they couldn’t build a car round it. Red Bull managed quick enough to show them what a great package it was and still is. Mercedes are just on the slippery slope downwards as is evidenced by the loss of sponsors. Ineos isn’t a sponsor, they own one third of the team, Wolff has a part ownership and Mercedes parent company Daimler pulled their sponsorship!
Oh, it’s not embellished. Michael Andretti isn’t screwing around. I’ve talked a few times to him about it at the Portland Indycar race. He’s slick, man. He has a plan.

Alongside rocketpoweredmohawk, you've become one of my favorite F1tubers. I see Andretti's entry as a win/win situation not just for F1 but also for motorsport in general!
the longer and longer this goes on, the more farcical and transparent the complaints of the other teams become. they're scared, and at least so far, it seems they SHOULD be.
The teams opposing Andretti’s entry are completely losing perspective on just how good this will be for Formula One. It is critically important that F1 secure the U.S. fan base to secure, and even grow the sport in future. It will be a hard fail for F1 to deny their entry. 🤞🏻
This weekend during the buildup coverage for the Rolex 24 at Daytona they interviewed the GM CEO in one of the Cadillac teams pits. The guy was overjoyed and exuberant about the Cadillacs and corvettes representing there. He was like a kid with the keys to the candy store. His enthusiasm really gave me hope for the future of GM at the highest levels of world motorsport.
i think a lot of people would be happy with andretti being in the sport fans would be delighted because they would see more cars competing drivers would be happy with it because it would mean 2 more spots to enter the ranks americans would be happy because it brings more attention to them and feel proud. andretti probably sees this as a win-win.
This article is more than a warning shot it's a right out killshot. It dispels any doubt that Andretti is just talk and was definitely timed until just after Daytona where GM came a close second, the Chicago rumors are just the icing on the cake. If they don't make it in I hope Andretti finish the car and drive it around the US out of spite.
If anyone was paying attention to the 24 hours of Daytona this weekend, the Cadillacs were a force to be reckoned. The 01 was dominant until its engine failed and the 31 nearly won the GTP class.
As an American and a fan of F1 for years. I want Andretti to join so bad. They will be a serious contender in the future, they know how to win and we all want to see more competition. We Americans like more action and more cars is also more action
@@RadityaPramanaPutra2001 I don't even see what the argument is against it. The size and cultural spread of the US compared to Europe would suggest the US should have a lot more than 3. Besides, F1 has always been about money, and the US makes them money; simple as that.

There is one massive advantage for Andretti, to having F1 dithering about. Until they're granted entry, there's no limit on what development time and money they can use, no limit on test days, wind tunnel days, chassis development, and GM can be working on a new motor to match the new rules, without having to waste time and money on current hardware. Pinching the upcoming engineering talent is just the icing on the cake.
Andtretti’s determination and grit perfectly embodies the true American grit in motor racing. They’d be the perfect team to represent us! I was a HAAS fan, and then they pulled the whole Uralkali thing and are a joke now…
I love how you are making you videos so fun and entertaining. I am a newer fan to the sport so your explanation to the stores that I am seeing really helps As an American, Andretti being added would be amazing, though I have been in love with McClaren (cars not F1) since my hot wheel toy when I was 4 so they are my team.
I had to watch the intro twice, that was hilarious 😂. I really want to see Andretti in F1. They will be good for the start, I can just feel it. I honestly think if things good well enough, they could leave Indycar to put more resources behind the F1 team.
That McLaren-GM engine deal sounds completely plausible, given that Chevy builds their engines for Indycar as well… I really hope they get in, because the amount of preparedness they’ve shown already means they’re unlikely to be a true backmarker like your Virgin or HRT
I think Andretti actually want to be in F1 in 2025. So next year. They can definetly be ready with the car by then, by how the things are going. And yes, Domenicali can't hide into the bushes anymore.
I am all for this but I am just reluctant to open the door to a 30 car field. I can't watch Indy anymore due to the sheer amount of cars in the race nowadays. Now I feel pretty confident that anything the Andretti family touches WINS and that scares the crap outta all the others in F1.
This is my one stop shop for F1 news. I don't have to spend €50+ each month for sky. Amazing what you can save if you shop around. Thanks bud, keep it up👍
Everyone knows F1 doesn't want them in because they pose a genuine threat to the status quo. Team Lotus, Virgin Racing and HRT? The teams rallied against the 2010 cost cap and oFfErEd SuPpOrT to help them out. What happened? HRT fold in 2012, Caterham in 2014, Manor in 2015. None of them ever posed a threat. Haas were supposed to be the next back-markers, but in 2016 they came out of the gates flying then suddenly "Haas' relationship with Ferrari is ruining the sport!". Sadly, Haas have largely orchestrated their own downfall. Andretti, though? They are the biggest threat ever. A genuine threat. I sincerely hope that Andretti manage to get in and tear the sport apart.
I reckon Andretti will take whatever is hurled in their way and only make themselves even more likable. Americans like a fighter and Andretti are fighters.
As someone who has watched F1 since Jacques Villeneuve was racing (and actually when he was in Indycar) I would absolutely love to see an Andretti entry. They are proving that they have a higher potential than some of the existing teams already on the grid.
The name is right. The branding and image (looks) right. The Engine backing is right. The (possible) color scheme is right. Liberty Media, you wanted a share of the American market, and Andretti is building the underdog/defiance story to get it.
My full 2025 grid predictions assuming Andretti is approved: Red Bull: Max Verstappen: contracted until the end of 2028. Carlos Sainz: I think Helmut might gamble on the RB junior who got away, and I could see Carlos go for it if only to escape the Ferrari shenanigans. Mercedes: [nothing to see here] Lewis Hamilton: contracted until the end of 2025. George Russel: contracted until the end of 2025. Ferrari: Charles Leclerc: contracted until the heat death of the universe. Valterri Bottas: Ferrari needs a good qualifier who can play rear gunner for Charles, a dependable #2, someone to bring the car home when Charles bins it, and a seat warmer while Bearman graduates from F2. That is Bottas. We know Fred Vasseur rates Bottas very highly, so I think it's possible so long as Bottas performs. McLaren: [nothing to see here] Lando Norris: contracted until who knows when. Oscar Piastri: contracted until the end of 2026. Aston Martin: Fernando Alonso: there's not a single chance that AMR doesn't take their option for one more year with 'nando. Yuki Tsunoda: Lance goes to WEC, Yuki comes in ahead of Honda's arival the following year. Alpine: Pierre Gasly: Alpine would have a hard time not not extending at least one of their current drivers and Gasly performed better and isn't managed by Toto Wolf. Nico Hulkenberg: Nico has his eyes on moving up the grid, and he's a less incident prone driver than Ocon. Williams: Alex Albon: Williams would be stupid to not do everything it can to keep him, and Albon probably can't keep his team leader status if he moves elsewhere. Esteban Ocon: Toto won't let his client fall off the grid, and Toto has also said he won't rush Kimi Antonelli into F1 the way he'd rushed George in. Williams is a Mercedes proxy would be dumb to turn down the service of a race winner. the team formerly known as Minardi: Danny Ric: He isn't making the step up to Red Bull, but I don't think he'll fall off the grid either. Liam Lawson: Helmut Marko has said Liam will be in one of the Red Bull owned seats in 2025, and his 2023 performance definitely warrants that. Sauber: Guanyu Zhou: Not an exciting driver, but capable enough that it's probably not worth kicking him (and his sponsors) before the grand Audi rebuild begins. Sergio Perez: Sauber needs that sponsorship dosh. Haas: Kevin Magnussen: Unless he has a really bad year (in which case Haas' new team principle might give RoGro a third shot at F1) I can't see Haas turn on their old-reliable-ish driver. Oli Bearman: Ferrari's new golden boy, who has been the darling of the Haas garage at all his test drives. Cadillac Andretti Global: Logan Sargent: If Andretti really wants an American in the line up, it's Sargent or Rossi. To the best of my knowledge no other American has a current superlicence. Marcus Ericson: The only driver in the Andretti stable who has a superlicence. Honestly though he definitely deserves another chance at F1.
If this is not the spirit of F1 (at least historically), I don't know what is. I know Andretti since "the beginning", never been particularly fan (never a hater, mind you), but this is really cool. Good for them!
For everyone saying Andretti should buy Haas, I understand you but I hope to god it doesn’t happen because that just feels like Libertys victory with keeping just 10 teams. I’d rather Andretti enters as the 11th team and a couple years down the line some other reputable motorsport name buys out haas and the problems resolved that way
Andretti have already proved their worth and they should be in f1 at least in 2025 , and the f1 teams are throwing every excuse in the book because they are afraid of losing price money even though most if not all the current f1 teams are getting more money than they used to for example 5 years ago
A few summers from now, are we gonna see Andretti-Cadillac making show runs at Goodwood with a fully operational car built to the current regulations whilst not actually being on that year's F1 grid?
With the success shown at imsa from the Cadillacs and their tenure in Indy engines, it wouldn't surprise me if GM produce a highly reliable F1 engine that performs well enough to lure Zak for sure!
I could see this outfit immediately challenging Alpine out of the gate. I predict a Grosjean / Herta lineup if Herta gets the SL points. If not, they may poach Sargeant and get in a Bottas or maybe a Checo depending on what the madness of this year's driver lineup looks like.
Bottas would be a good one to have as an experienced driver. He was fast but held back as 2nd driver to Hamilton who would not allow that. Would love to see 2 American drivers in the seats though!
The sport is at a point where a team that isn’t even in the sport has more support and brings more to the sport than a quarter of the grid. Haas been involved with 50% of the controversies past 5 years and happy being “ Ferrari lite”. Stake F1 is laughable considering at a big chunk of the races you can’t even mention the team name. Visa Cashapp rb is a team with pretty much 0 brand identity and universally so hated that it caused their Instagram to be deactivated for awhile. Andretti however are a MOTORSPORT team that been involved with Formula E, Rally, extreme E, Indycar and IMSA. They’re bringing Gainesbridge sponsorship who been throwing ALOT of money in motorsport helping Spire Motorsport in NASCAR grow to the likes of trackhouse. Even GM backing them with their flagship luxury brand who Cadillac become a cult icon with the hypercar program.
Gotta wonder if Andretti could win right off the bat if they go this way. No wind tunnel limits, no computer sim limits, no budget cap, no testing limits. Go wild right now developing, and kick ass when you get in!
The longer they drag this out, the more Americans that love the sport are gonna find themselves backing Andretti. Being one i can say, Im not a brand fan, I like certain drivers. That being said, I've never been an Andretti fan or Haas fan, but, the more you try to keep someome down, the more you have people rooting for them, especially when they havent done anything wrong. Americans who never has a proper home team to root for may very well jump ship from Merc and other teams just because of Toto's and the likes attitudes. Just saying, every day I find myself rooting for Andretti just a little more than i did the day before.
I hope Haas stays in, long enough for them to line up with Andretti on the grid and be completely embarrassed. Bring the sport into disrepute my left cheek, at this point it's more obvious than ever it's just FOM wanting their little clubhouse, not to mention Toto very obviously being scared of another team showing them up now that Mercedes are in their slump. It's a yoke, I tell you. What a yoke!
With a 2026 entry they will be subject to the new concord agreement and the anti dilution fee will be a lot more than $200million! The sponsors are sponsoring Andretti thats of no value to other teams. Zak Brown who is a friend of Andretti when asked last foes he support their entry. His answer was well nobody knows what their entry involves. We are in the dark so I will make my mind up when I know what they are bringing. Why is Andretti not talking to the teams? Liberty media wont give money to teams. Cadillac have said they will build an engine but only if Andretti is accepted. If Andretti is accepted I bet GM will say there has been a global slow down so the engine has had to be put on the back burner . They have said they wont supply another team. Its all very fishy especially when you look at the engines currently in IMSA cars.
as a michigander: please let’s get michigan car companies into f1 somehow, ford already coming to redbull but let’s get andretti into f1 so general motors can get in also 💪💪
I really think, if they let them in, it will workout fine for everyone. I think their money won't be lessoned but will grow. The only team that should worry would be Hass. I feel they'll still be in last place of the eleven. It would also be great to have a world champions name as a team. None since Prost.
worth noting that GM do have a bit of a history of pulling the plug on partnership projects. The Honda deal being the most recent example. They might be backing MA right now - but I don't think we can bank on that being permanent just yet.
I wasn't initially all that excited about the idea of Andretti coming in, I gave up on watching Indycar during the circus years of the the split. But he's grown on me over time. I'm now all in, let's goooo
I feel like now they sort of have to "brute force" there way in to in F1 so to speak, rather than waiting for stefano to stop procrastinating and toto to stop crying, instead, there trying to out do all the other current lower end teams (cough cough HASS cough cough) teams in R&D, the more and more they do this, the less and less excuses that F1 has to keep them out P.S. great video
As an American F1 fan, and not a recent DTS driven one, I will give up on the series if FOM refuses to let the Andretti Global team in. I could no longer support a series that locks out other competitors, when they prove to be serious.
It's absolutely incredible how Andretti gets thrown out of any chance to enter the sport while they have a proper project, yet the sport contains jokes such as Haas & Alpine in terms of management, and now there's a team branded under a cash grab casino thing and for another it's a credit card... WHAT??? 😭
That’s the actual reason the teams don’t want them in… the $ is a smoke screen. The core of f1 is the engineering personnel and the big teams saw some of their staff walk to the new project after they had to go thru a reduction in head count… that’s normally the opening phase of a company/race team dropping off a cliff and they are trying to prevent it from continuing.
*nod* Agreed. There was a brain drain going on under their noses since Andretti probably pilfered lower level staff with the prospect of bigger pay and more senior roles. Clever.
So glad to have come across this, makes me really hopeful Andretti gets the greenlight for F1! On amother note, while i know the FIA has a tendency to embarrass themselves, this whole saga with an 11th team is where I actually really stand behind Sulayem and the FIA and not FOM. Between the two, I honestly think the FIA is the lesser of the two evils whereas I'm getting sick of FOMs commercialisation with the new tracks etc
Small Correction: Andretti has been with Formula since the first season in 2014. But they certainly didn't take long to become super-competitive. When there was the massive influx of manufacturers in Season 5, they partnered with BMW and were immediately able to capitalize on that to win the opening race of the season, and by Season 7, they were beginning to take the championship down to the final race alongside other major outfits like Mercedes and Jaguar. Avalanche become their title sponsor in Season 8 after BMW pulled out of the series, one year before they actually took the driver's championship with Jake Dennis. But this certainly doesn't take away from your point: Andretti take things seriously, and are an absolute force to be reckoned with!
Just imagine the monumental trouble that the FOM gets into if it boycotts the F1 broadcast with Andretti's cars. It would be perceived in the USA as an anti-USA act. And we talk about the country of demands. All TV services contracted by users to WATCH THE F1 RACE (with the cars.. all..) could be claimed and sued for not complying with what was contracted. In short, the FOM is screwed if Andretti shows up on the grid with the car and decides to race.
I also can't believe it. On the other side, i understand Andretti is not joking about their Formula One ambition, but this is really bombshell for me. Hopefully their Formula One campaign are not ending like the Haas F1® Team currently or at least like the failed US F1® Team. 30/01/2024 02:52 At My Local Time.
It is so good to see Andretti to be embracing the old ways of motorsport. They are saying you can't do something? Who cares, just ddo it anyway until you pressure them into accepting you! This is refreshing after all the fussy mock-politics happening inbetween the current teams. I hope Andretti will keep their attitude once they are in the competition too, they might spark the flames f1 lacked for a while.

Or just force Red Bull to sell Toro Rosso
no, we want 11 teams @@AwfuThings
I thought not but I wanted to take this with a pinch of salt. And that's cool that you had a chat with him. I'd like to chat with him one day.
If Haas is allowed to ramble around aimlessly in F1, Andretti shoudl be allowed participate in F1.
This piece has proved that.
Cadillac had a strong showing with the overall P2 finish in Daytona. A strong, fast, durable hybrid engine
Yep. Cadillac are seriously gaining traction in high speed stuff.
They have been winning championships in class in endurance racing for a while.
ESPN airtime of F1 with Andretti in the mix would skyrocket
Especially if Andretti are good right off the bat, American viewership will skyrocket

@@darthravagerIt will take Andretti over 10 years to get out of the bottom. They simply don't have the required amount of money to do so.

I would love to see Andretti in Formula One, you can see how hard there trying to get into the fastest Motorsport of Formula One and I’m all for it
And how backwards the logic of keeping them out of F1 is becoming.
@@LawVS great video by the way too I enjoy watching you take f1 news and making it fun
@@LawVS I say if Bernie was in charge and Mosley in FIA lead, they would let Andretti in, drag F1 bosses along either screaming or willingly. thats how they changed regulations half of the time anyway, telling if don't want to race more, can go but please don't smash the door when walk out
If this guy does not make it to f1
Then no other private team ever should
I've never seen a guy so dedicated about f1
Privateer teams are kind hard to come by in F1 these days anyways.
This is clearly a twisting of the screw.
As an American I can also agree that 4 races here is too many
Yeah. This is hopefully just a coverall
As an american, I do not watch the US races and will continue not to until A Andretti is in or B HAAS can win. Which can happen first I wonder?
The teams opposing Andretti’s entry are completely losing perspective on just how good this will be for Formula One. It is critically important that F1 secure the U.S. fan base to secure, and even grow the sport in future. It will be a hard fail for F1 to deny their entry. 🤞🏻
They really are. They want the American money but not the competition.
It's quite clear, yes. Cadillac means business.
i think a lot of people would be happy with andretti being in the sport
fans would be delighted because they would see more cars competing
drivers would be happy with it because it would mean 2 more spots to enter the ranks
americans would be happy because it brings more attention to them and feel proud.
andretti probably sees this as a win-win.
Yeah. There's no bad vibes about them being in F1.
I was being good cop, you see.
Not only that, but GM has one full-time entry in the FIA WEC also shows they mean business
If anyone was paying attention to the 24 hours of Daytona this weekend, the Cadillacs were a force to be reckoned. The 01 was dominant until its engine failed and the 31 nearly won the GTP class.
Oh yes. Cadillac means business here.
As an American and a fan of F1 for years. I want Andretti to join so bad. They will be a serious contender in the future, they know how to win and we all want to see more competition. We Americans like more action and more cars is also more action
Greetings from 🇮🇩 to 🇺🇸, what's your opinion about three United States Grand Prix? 😅
@@RadityaPramanaPutra2001 I don't even see what the argument is against it. The size and cultural spread of the US compared to Europe would suggest the US should have a lot more than 3. Besides, F1 has always been about money, and the US makes them money; simple as that.

I would love to see how pitiful this goes and how F1 won't budge but the FIA will aid Andretti.
@@LawVSthe application has been rejected
Why didn't Chev put in a proposal?
They would have been successful
There is one massive advantage for Andretti, to having F1 dithering about.
Until they're granted entry, there's no limit on what development time and money they can use, no limit on test days, wind tunnel days, chassis development, and GM can be working on a new motor to match the new rules, without having to waste time and money on current hardware.
Pinching the upcoming engineering talent is just the icing on the cake.
If f1 says they still need more it will be beyond ridiculous
This is probably a bargaining chip and yet another brazen way of gaining favour with the fans.

Andtretti’s determination and grit perfectly embodies the true American grit in motor racing. They’d be the perfect team to represent us! I was a HAAS fan, and then they pulled the whole Uralkali thing and are a joke now…
Haas really don't have a good track record with sponsors do they?
As an American, your American accent saying “oh yeahhhhh” was perfect 😂

As an American, Andretti being added would be amazing, though I have been in love with McClaren (cars not F1) since my hot wheel toy when I was 4 so they are my team.
Thank you! I try my best.
I had to watch the intro twice, that was hilarious 😂. I really want to see Andretti in F1. They will be good for the start, I can just feel it. I honestly think if things good well enough, they could leave Indycar to put more resources behind the F1 team.
That McLaren-GM engine deal sounds completely plausible, given that Chevy builds their engines for Indycar as well…
I really hope they get in, because the amount of preparedness they’ve shown already means they’re unlikely to be a true backmarker like your Virgin or HRT
Bruce and denny show era can am mclarens ran Chevy engines too
It's looking more likely considering GM is going to be a supplier by 2028.
I think Andretti actually want to be in F1 in 2025. So next year. They can definetly be ready with the car by then, by how the things are going. And yes, Domenicali can't hide into the bushes anymore.
They've got a rolling chassis ready in a few months which they will undoubtedly show off
I am all for this but I am just reluctant to open the door to a 30 car field. I can't watch Indy anymore due to the sheer amount of cars in the race nowadays. Now I feel pretty confident that anything the Andretti family touches WINS and that scares the crap outta all the others in F1.
I really need to make a video discussing the art of pre qualifying.
Subbed. Love the channel, thanks for keeping my f1 addiction satisfied during the off season.
My guy said "the online website The Athletic" 😂 I know he meant "online newsletter" but it was funny lol
Everything looks correct.
My full 2025 grid predictions assuming Andretti is approved:
Red Bull:
Max Verstappen: contracted until the end of 2028.
Carlos Sainz: I think Helmut might gamble on the RB junior who got away, and I could see Carlos go for it if only to escape the Ferrari shenanigans.
Mercedes: [nothing to see here]
Lewis Hamilton: contracted until the end of 2025.
George Russel: contracted until the end of 2025.
Ferrari:
Charles Leclerc: contracted until the heat death of the universe.
McLaren: [nothing to see here]
Lando Norris: contracted until who knows when.
Oscar Piastri: contracted until the end of 2026.
Aston Martin:
Fernando Alonso: there's not a single chance that AMR doesn't take their option for one more year with 'nando.
Yuki Tsunoda: Lance goes to WEC, Yuki comes in ahead of Honda's arival the following year.
Alpine:
Pierre Gasly: Alpine would have a hard time not not extending at least one of their current drivers and Gasly performed better and isn't managed by Toto Wolf.
Nico Hulkenberg: Nico has his eyes on moving up the grid, and he's a less incident prone driver than Ocon.
Williams:
Alex Albon: Williams would be stupid to not do everything it can to keep him, and Albon probably can't keep his team leader status if he moves elsewhere.
Esteban Ocon: Toto won't let his client fall off the grid, and Toto has also said he won't rush Kimi Antonelli into F1 the way he'd rushed George in. Williams is a Mercedes proxy would be dumb to turn down the service of a race winner.
the team formerly known as Minardi:
Danny Ric: He isn't making the step up to Red Bull, but I don't think he'll fall off the grid either.
Liam Lawson: Helmut Marko has said Liam will be in one of the Red Bull owned seats in 2025, and his 2023 performance definitely warrants that.
Sauber:
Guanyu Zhou: Not an exciting driver, but capable enough that it's probably not worth kicking him (and his sponsors) before the grand Audi rebuild begins.
Sergio Perez: Sauber needs that sponsorship dosh.
Haas:
Kevin Magnussen: Unless he has a really bad year (in which case Haas' new team principle might give RoGro a third shot at F1) I can't see Haas turn on their old-reliable-ish driver.
Oli Bearman: Ferrari's new golden boy, who has been the darling of the Haas garage at all his test drives.
Cadillac Andretti Global:
Logan Sargent: If Andretti really wants an American in the line up, it's Sargent or Rossi. To the best of my knowledge no other American has a current superlicence.
Marcus Ericson: The only driver in the Andretti stable who has a superlicence. Honestly though he definitely deserves another chance at F1.
I remember when michael andritti use to race for mclaren back in 93🏎️
Yeah, he did. Shame he didn't get the whole season to get up to speed after his Monza podium...but then we wouldn't have had Mika's breakthrough.
Great move from Andretti. Calling their bluff. If they don't get in they should hire the tracks the day after GPs and set competitive quali times.
I wouldn't be surprised if they rock up to COTA the day after and pump in some laps.
If this is not the spirit of F1 (at least historically), I don't know what is.
I know Andretti since "the beginning", never been particularly fan (never a hater, mind you), but this is really cool. Good for them!
I think that's what they are banking on. Even those who aren't fans of theirs backing them.
2 videos in one day and on my birthday!! This is the best gift!
2 videos today?? The season is ramping up rapidly!
For everyone saying Andretti should buy Haas, I understand you but I hope to god it doesn’t happen because that just feels like Libertys victory with keeping just 10 teams.
I’d rather Andretti enters as the 11th team and a couple years down the line some other reputable motorsport name buys out haas and the problems resolved that way
It was a resort that seemed to placate the other teams. It's not ideal but acceptable.
Andretti have already proved their worth and they should be in f1 at least in 2025 , and the f1 teams are throwing every excuse in the book because they are afraid of losing price money even though most if not all the current f1 teams are getting more money than they used to for example 5 years ago
They're doing all the right things and going to the right places.
@@LawVS Absolutely they did. If they are going to be on the grid eventually, my support will be going to them
A few summers from now, are we gonna see Andretti-Cadillac making show runs at Goodwood with a fully operational car built to the current regulations whilst not actually being on that year's F1 grid?
Perhaps we might, yes.
With the success shown at imsa from the Cadillacs and their tenure in Indy engines, it wouldn't surprise me if GM produce a highly reliable F1 engine that performs well enough to lure Zak for sure!
They have also the determination to prove Stefano Domenicali wrong.
B Cam appearance Wooo :)
They are now my new favorite team
Impressive considering they haven't turned a wheel
I could see this outfit immediately challenging Alpine out of the gate.
I predict a Grosjean / Herta lineup if Herta gets the SL points. If not, they may poach Sargeant and get in a Bottas or maybe a Checo depending on what the madness of this year's driver lineup looks like.
I do think they've got some credibility here...but not with Romain. He's burnt that bridge.
It's incredibly ridiculous and I hope FOM are humbled by this
Double upload? Today is a good day
Busy day for him, actually. 😅
The Andretti name is one of the most iconic names in motorsports. They belong in f1.
Agreed!
Interesting 😮🚗
Gotta wonder if Andretti could win right off the bat if they go this way. No wind tunnel limits, no computer sim limits, no budget cap, no testing limits. Go wild right now developing, and kick ass when you get in!
By ignoring them now FOM are playing a dangerous game.
@lawvs i did i hear you say you have a main channel or is this it?
This is my F1 channel.
As a Lewis fan, I will be looking for a new driver and team.
I don't think they realised this symptom of stonewalling. Sometimes even the stoniest of walls can fall over.
Depends what happens with the next Concorde Agreement.
They're aware of that so that's why they're probably getting their initial outlay done now and will be ready for whatever FOM throws at them.
as a michigander: please let’s get michigan car companies into f1 somehow, ford already coming to redbull but let’s get andretti into f1 so general motors can get in also 💪💪
I remember the GM building well.
I really think, if they let them in, it will workout fine for everyone. I think their money won't be lessoned but will grow. The only team that should worry would be Hass. I feel they'll still be in last place of the eleven. It would also be great to have a world champions name as a team. None since Prost.
It will definitely. This is yet more posturing to get what all want
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
worth noting that GM do have a bit of a history of pulling the plug on partnership projects. The Honda deal being the most recent example. They might be backing MA right now - but I don't think we can bank on that being permanent just yet.
Yes I'm aware and yes it could happen and Andretti should be aware of this.
We could see a Williams/ Cadillac or McLaren/Cadillac or Haas😮Cadillac?
The question are how long haas can stay on the grid.

Little did I know MasakoX was also an F1 fan. Love when my random interests intersect 😌
Andretti should hire Gunther just to get along with the other team principles
Or to get back at Haas
Andretti will get into F1 in 2026, I just believe that there is some behind the scenes money talk between them, FIA, F1 and other teams.
Every man has their price as they say
Agreed. It's all posturing but this news drop is turning a screw in the favour of Andretti
I wasn't initially all that excited about the idea of Andretti coming in, I gave up on watching Indycar during the circus years of the the split. But he's grown on me over time. I'm now all in, let's goooo
Yeah this piece is probably that intention.
I feel like now they sort of have to "brute force" there way in to in F1 so to speak, rather than waiting for stefano to stop procrastinating and toto to stop crying, instead, there trying to out do all the other current lower end teams (cough cough HASS cough cough) teams in R&D, the more and more they do this, the less and less excuses that F1 has to keep them out
P.S. great video
Definitely. Andretti are doing this very aggressively and it's getting the hackles of the old guard up.
As an American F1 fan, and not a recent DTS driven one, I will give up on the series if FOM refuses to let the Andretti Global team in. I could no longer support a series that locks out other competitors, when they prove to be serious.
Technically they're allowed in since they were approved by the FIA.

Something tells me andretti will absolutely smash first season and become a solid midfielder from minute 1
I think they will score points, and a decent amount of them.

i also have few ....1/43 scale
Good for you!
It's absolutely incredible how Andretti gets thrown out of any chance to enter the sport while they have a proper project, yet the sport contains jokes such as Haas & Alpine in terms of management, and now there's a team branded under a cash grab casino thing and for another it's a credit card... WHAT??? 😭
The FIA is definitely using Andretti as a bargaining chip.
Just realized andrettis wind tunnel facility is right around the corner from me lol
It's a good windtunnel.
Andretti-Hass has a nice ring to it Gene!
It does, give him a RING.
Purdue University has 2 state of the art wind tunnels too. They're in Indiana.
Clever.
I watched Andretti on the podium in 1993. The prejudice against Americans I watched back then. It's still going on
Just Shaking My Head.
Must've been pretty emotional for Michael considering his father did the same thing 11 years ago.
Please forgive my ignorance but, can Andretti work on a car this early? Are they even considered "under the cost cap"?
Well they’re not in f1 yet, so they can. Audi is doing the same thing
For the current ground effect car, yes. As for the new tech regs coming in 2026, no team will be able to develop for those regs until 2025.
Technically they can, since the FIA has given them the OK.
Oh yes. This is going to wind up being a flashpoint for sure.
Im 1000% with you on this one.
I heard Mario Yapping, and I figured it was JUST that yapping this woke me from a pre coffee waking up haze
Oh he was talking sense.
Oh my mistake. But in any case, they certainly have been a good presence in that series.
It could be easily avoided.
Didn't Gunther Steiner say he had something in the works, team principal for Andretti perhaps?
He's an executive producer on a sitcom revolving around racing.
It would be nice revenge after getting fired by tight-arse Haas though
I also can't believe it. On the other side, i understand Andretti is not joking about their Formula One ambition, but this is really bombshell for me. Hopefully their Formula One campaign are not ending like the Haas F1® Team currently or at least like the failed US F1® Team.
