I spent my life buying food every 2 weeks. I had no idea what a person can save buying months ahead with a deep freeze and in bulk. You had lots of fresh vegetables as well as frozen. I use a lot of those brands. This way you have bought very good quality food for your family at a good price for 3 months. Thank you for sharing.

My last BJ’s haul was $1400. Literally stocked up and had things I needed for months. I love the extra large hauls bc I only have to hit the grocery store for fresh produce and fillers bc I’m stocked on meats and pantry items. I have a deep freezer as well, love it!! Great haul ma’am!!!!

I understand going every few months but I've seen a couple videos in the last couple months spending over a thousand dollars and that doesnt include what she spends at her regular grocery store.

  • @alinewright1093

A hint to keep track of how much you have in you inventory of foods etc. If you bought a qty of 4 for example. Use a sharpie marker and write
1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4, 4 of 4. Look at the used by date the soonest date will
be 1 of 4, to be used first.
Make sure to keep them in order. When you use 4 of 4 add to the shopping list. Keep a list of all the meats with dates in your new freezer. Check off as you take a pkg out to cook. You can take a pic of your list with your phone so you can view the list. Helps you see what has to be used up before freezer burn. Or what you are low on.
    🤓💖

Reading the comment section and seeing people commenting how they dont understand why you buy this much food.... blows my mind most people dont know what it means to have a family of 6, one on the way, AND the fact that you guys dont eat out... so thats 3 meals everyday for 6 humans on top of that, snacks. The people hating are probably the type of people who eat out and spend more $$ at restaurants. $1,800 is easily spent in a week eating out compared to feeding a familt for three months.
Great video, mama👍🏼 we love costco too!

First video for me! I just wanted to say we freeze lunchmeat. In fact I thawed a package yesterday. You may need to put it between paper towels to dry it out a bit when you thaw it, but it's good! With just my husband and I we can't eat everything either sometimes. My daughter is about 10 weeks pregnant with #3! Her daughters are 11&5 and so all her children will be 6 years apart!

Yes you can freeze the Guam, also you can freeze your lunch meat, I devise mine in 3 pkgs, if you have a sealer you can use the sea, where it sucks the extra air out, I can keeep mine 3-4 months that way, if you use freezer ziplocks , probably use in a month, try it out if you want. Also, if you don’t know, shredded cheeses freeze wonderfully.! I m a newbie to your channel and am looking forward to watching your channel.

  • @kaylal5929

Currently I do a big once a month haul and smaller trips for fresh produce as needed the rest of the month. But I've been thinking of cutting our monthly grocery budget down by $600 and starting to do a huge 2-3mo Costco haul. That would give me $1200 or $1800 for my Costco haul. We are self employed so I would just decrease or increase our pay depending on if it was a Costco haul more or not. You say you have a hard time budgeting your Costco hauls in, you could do this as well but just toss the Costco portion of your budget into a different account each month till your Costco haul month.

When you said you were storing food downstairs but the kids were starting to get into it, I feel that so hard lol. Our basement has a full 2 bedroom apartment including a HUGE kitchen so I try to store bulk stuff down there, but keeping my kids out of it is such a struggle!

I have cut up potatoes and made mashed potatoes and froze them. The mash potatoes tend to be a little watery after thawing out, but once it's heated up the liquid aborbs back in the potatoes. You could probably freeze some of the cheese that you got for your husband. I've never freezed that type, but have freezed other cheese before.

You should buy Chunk Light tuna instead of Albacore. Albacore Tuna is a large fish which means it contains more mercury. My OBGYN told me to avoid the Albacore while pregnant.

Freeze 1/2 off the chicken breast. And I will freeze my mini guacs and will take for us 2 out before bed, put in frig and it's thawed by lunch or supper time. Also freeze the Kodiak mix, cheese wedges, butter, yogurt, cheese singles.

Lunch meat can be frozen, break up the pack and freeze what you know you will use. You can freeze potatoes but they must be par cooked first
