(Spoiler Alert) Thank you Lionel for featuring my piece! it is a big achievement for me as a small "composer". I didn't even expect that this piece is worthy enough to be featured because I joined the fans pieces submissions just to have some small reviews. Now, I'm so motivated to compose more pieces (Im just busy procrastinating lol). And this moment when someone appreciated and performed my piece is truly amazing and I believe that this moment will remain in my heart forever.
Before it starts, thank you so much for giving me (Kilian Davies) and those 3 other amazing composers this opportunity by playing our pieces! I won't dare talking in the name of the others but personally, this is the first time I will see and hear someone play one of my compositions and it's like a dream becoming true! Again, thank you!!! Edit after the performance : Just wooow! Your playing is really different from mine but I love it a lot! You managed to really convey the feelings I had while composing it! For the third time in this comment, thank you!!!
@WILLIAM PUCHOT Well, it was intentional. The "right chords" are only in the beginning when, in the story I want to tell, evrrything is okay. Then disease and death catches up your loved one and from there, you're feeling completely lost, there's no more "basis" for you to rest on. Inthe music, I showed this by not using a particular chord for us to go back to again and again
out of all instruments i think that the piano is one of the most expressive and passionate instrument out there, i don’t play the piano but as a person with a little music knowledge i can feel their emotions and their thoughts whenever i hear a peace i would see the colors of the piece for example the first one i see yellow
Although I didnt see many people choosing this piece, Clouds is definitely my favorite one (sorry for the rest of the composers, you're pieces were really good too). I just love the Debussy vibes it gives, especially the harmonies, and it really gives a vivid impression of clouds. Keep it up Noah!
Time stamps: 0:50 : El Aëla by Sherif Karama 6:15 :Before It’s Too Late by Kilian Davies 11:40 : Clouds by Noah Hughes 16:47 : Tingin by Raphael M. This was a really great experience, I can tell they put a lot of emotion into this. Great works, all of you! See you on Saturday :)
Loved every single one of these. Was especially thrilled to see Rizal make this list though. He's really good and I hope he will now receive more recognition thanks to Lionel, another of my faves 😇😁😊
Personally, my Favorite piece is the first one. There so much love and beauty that's expressed and really shows the time and effort that went into making it. Congrats to all the participants and good job.
This is just incredible. Thanks for playing all of these pieces for us, Lionel and also thanks to the four composers for comoposing all of these amazing pieces! They really inspired me to make compositions on my own!
When I listen to Rafael’s piece I feel the longing he has and when the intensity of the melody increases, to me it displays the imaginative fantasy-like state you get in when thinking about that certain someone and as this carry’s on the imagery gets happier and happier until you hit the musical climax and then at the end it gently cuts back out of the fantasy vibe into notes that say “welp.. back to reality” and that marks the end of the song. It’s all the emotions of a three second glance as you walk by someone you like, or when your sitting and their name pops into your head, composed in a detail that is hard to get. It was a beautiful piece.
Congratulations to the 4 talent composers! All are excellent music! Lionel performed them so deeply in touching our heart! The subtitles told us the meaning of each piece! So beautiful so touching so emotional! I love ❤️ 1st piece the most! The picture of young parents holding their newly born baby melted our heart! Such beautiful memories! ❤️❤️❤️
That first song was amazing and it was clearly a family Love song. Wow. This was my favorite. The composer poured himself into this piece and it showed. The melody throughout was that strong cord that binds two into one for a lifetime. The second song was easy to enter into for me because I've been there. Loving someone who only kinda loves you back is... well this song. The Clouds song was light and airy but not very moving for me - Inspiring but not passionate. The last song was kind of fun but it felt like it ended too quickly, like the composer had more to give but held back a little. I did like it though.
El Aëla is such a great piece of piano, you can feel the joy in every chord and melody. Such a beautiful and emotional piece that represents a joy of a man and brings joy to man who heard this. Truly a talented musician.

Every time i hear your fans pieces i get intense immeasurable inspiration to write myself. Then sit infront of a piano for hours and get nothing 😂 no idea how you guys do it but honestly job well done amazing work. You've all got a fan here that's for sure.
Personal Rating for top 2: Tingin and Clouds I really loved Clouds, it had a style I always sought for. Tingin sounded amazing too; the music resonated better with me. I was just a tad disappointed that Tingin is much shorter than I expected.
ruclips.net/video/IeZJxFwY5iA/видео.html Please listen to the composer's own interpretation! It is notably slower but feels a lot more nostalgic and warm, like a quiet summer night.
Just discovering this channel and I’m so in love. I’ve been playing piano for 11 years now after learning on my own in early middle school. I’ve been so busy lately and not playing as much and this has truly inspired me! I wrote a piece during my parents separation/reconciliation cycles in my mid teens because words just couldn’t express my feelings. I’d never felt it was good enough. I think it’s time I add some flair to it and revisit those emotions almost a decade later. Thank you for the inspiration! I dream to one day reach this level of expertise.
Not entirely sure why it hit me so hard, but I absolutely sobbed at Kilian’s piece. It absolutely summed up my feelings about my mum’s death, before, during and after. I’m not sure how sad it was intended to be but for me, it was heartbreaking 😭😭😭
I had a little thing come to mind from "Kilian Davies - Before its too late" I know how it feels to lose someone important so I always try to treasure the moments I have with other people. This person who was important to me gave me the feeling I had found a true close friend before shortly after due to her own reasons wanting to part ways. They would come back a while later and then relatively recently she decided to do the same thing again, this time hopefully for good. I know how suddenly I might just lose someone and I was devastated by it, I suffer its effect to this day though its more manageable. I treasure every moment I spend with people I care and am close to and I have been writing a diary to remember something from every day even though it may be a small bit, and especially in order to remember the big things. -The day after school when I with a friend went to check out antiquarians due to my interest and a older media stuff store which was suggested by my friend and we proceeded to have a lot of fun together as we looked around the three places we visited, goofed off amongst ourselves and ate a little snack bought from a grocery store -The evening after school I and this same friend ate bread bought from a grocery store on a bench in the down town mall due to both of us being hungry -The day of my birthday celebration when I with this friend and another classmate went to see Jumanji 2 in the theater, after which I got my first genuine hug These are memories I will always hold dear, and I will make more memories like this, of which every single moment I will treasure to the fullest
so often times when I listen to songs on this channel I like to imagine a movie or game being tied to them, but these just have so much emotion that I'd rather just listen to the actual emotion instead of thinking too hard of a story. They really are quite beautiful
The first one touched my heart in a way I can't describe. For me, it's more wanting, waiting and a picture of something tragic, yet beautiful. A perfect description of this divine comedy we live in. I was tearing up the whole time.
WOW All of the composer’s pieces are fantastic. Something struck a chord (pun not intended) with me from piece 3. Also, something about piece 4 reminds me of a Disney movie somehow. At about 17:50 ish Edit: piece 4 reminds me of some music from the first Shrek. I don’t remember where in the movie, I just had to wrack my brain on which movie it was.
Second one actually made me tear up.. That's pretty rare for music. Also, the third one just sounds unlike anything I've heard in a while and I love it.
I haven't cried in a VERY long time ( not even when I lost my grandpa, who raised and thought me music) but that first piece made me let go off all my repressed tears, and feelings towards the most important thing in life " Family".
I think I liked ,,Clouds" the most. It reminds me of Gusu Lan Clan and part of the plot of Mo Dao Zu Shi too. I loved all of them. The first one was just very emotionally engaging and I loved the main melody. The second one was so harmonic and tragic. Loved it, although it made me tear up a little bit. And 4th one was just pure bliss to listen too. I truly imagine someone composing it for their crush and the history behind it. Great job to all of the composers and to you for playing it the way you did. 💜💜
Noah's piece is so unique, I like it. It's so dreamy. El Aela (Sherif Karama's) is inspiring, it's like having a family be with through the chaos of life.
First piece, El Aëla, was absolutely radiant with passion, and I very much enjoyed the brief turmoil towards the middle of it.. Second piece, Before It's Too Late, resonated hard with me, and please tell me why that last note shattered what hold I had on myself..? Third piece, Clouds, felt very coherent to itself, and somehow felt like someone was sitting with me and telling me about their dream coming true to some extent, with a fitting amount of uncertainty in the middle.. perfect wrap-up and ending imho. Fourth piece, Tingin, had so much content in a small package (shorter relative to the others, I felt) but lost absolutely nothing. I very much liked the constant hopefulness I felt throughout.. Every one of these brought their own thing to the table and I feel privileged to watch them being performed for me. Not even my place to do so, but I personally thank you for submitting!! Note: as I write this, I haven't yet seen the award part of the video yet! I'm not going to edit it afterward either! Cheers everyone!
Here's what I think for each of them. El Aela: This one was very easy to listen to, as easy as Tingin. I don't know what else to put here, because I'm not very literate with music. Uhm, it's powerful? I think it's tied with Before It's Too Late. Before It's Too Late: I had to listen 3 times before I decided on how it felt. In the end, I think it was good. Very deserving of a second. Clouds: I never felt the piece of music decide on something and just stay still. I was dissatisfied to the end, perhaps because it tries to express too much at once and in some really unorthodox ways. Simply put, nauseatingly jumpy. Tingin: It manages to explore around without feeling so indecisive. It felt contained to me, and was pleasant to hear.
El aëla could have been written by Debussy for all I know!! Before it’s too late could be written by Liszt for all I know!! Clouds could have been written by Ravel for all I know!! Tingin could have been written by Schubert for all I know!! These pieces were bloody amazing! I loved every one, although I have to say El Aëla was my favourite :)
Before it’s too late I listened, totally captivated… at some point during the peice I started to cry, I hadn’t realized until it was over. Thank you for sharing this one.
The song before it's too late reminded me of a saying I had made up when I was younger.... Be the best that you can be today for you never know what will happen tomorrow, and always strive for the best, prepare for the worst, and settle for the in-between. I dont know why it reminded me of this, but it did and it brought so many memories into my head, i could tell that piece was heartfealt
so beautiful and emotional. my memories and heart ached and longed. I got so emotional my chest started to hurt but the pieces were so worth it I would go through all the pain just to feel it again. life is full of so many uncertainties and the mistakes and choices we make build up who we are today. but we are nothing if not for family yet we should never let ourselves be blinded by the past so look to the future with the present in hand as you never know what might happen next.❤❤🌹🌹🌺
Heres my reaction for the songs 1: I tip my hat to you, one legend to another. 2: This is Sans' story in a genocide route. Wanting to reset the time, watching his friends die over endless resets, until he makes the player realize, they messed up big. Still, the fight is unfair, you are not frisk. No, you are a human, playing a video game. With enough patience and muscle memory you will kill the final boss. 3: Beautiful but very eerie as well. A wonderful blend of melody and chords. 4: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I AGREEEEEEEEEEEE
Yet another amazing fans video! 😍 and 4 pieces instead of 3 no less! Great job to all composers 👏 can’t wait to hear the next round of submissions soon
This proves how difficult it is to become a full fledged composer, these peices are amazing yet the people who wrote them are not well known, people with this talent should be world renown. 👏👏
I loved all of the pieces as a writer i listen lots of Piano music because it makes my Imagination run wild but I think my favorite was Clouds it led me to more of a Fantasy world rather then Reality which is what the other three put me in.
Man I enjoy this kind of music, I really do not hear it very often, but every once in a while I like to just listen some classical, I have been struggling with the end of my 30 years marriage for the past year, things have been difficult, This affected my son's even more than they would admit, lately even had strong discussions with 2 of them, my family is over, don't have a will to start over, my life project vanished in a very painful way, "Before it's too late" had me crying rivers in the first 20 seconds it certainly is very deep and emotional, I do hope he gets the prize, at least someone can get some Joy.
I like the first one. No gratuitous arpeggios...every note was clearly audible, had a purpose, and maximized the melody or harmony (or both). The mood was constant and clearly palpable. The resolution was definite and satisfying.
Thanks so much, I'm happy you liked it - I spent so much time crafting out every single note for the arpeggios and sometimes I felt like I was going "too far in" but having this noticed makes it completely worth it!

No yeah dude I get I only said something because I had seen two people dislike it lol
The last one was pretty interesting I liked them all, there kinda similar to the way I play, kinda improvised in a way
@WILLIAM PUCHOT Well, it was intentional. The "right chords" are only in the beginning when, in the story I want to tell, evrrything is okay.

I definitely agree
I loved “clouds” so much!! It was a gentle blend of Studio Ghibli and Debussy. Simply beautiful

Someone needs to make entire orchestral pieces out of these.
El aëla could have been written by Debussy for all I know!!
Before it’s too late could be written by Liszt for all I know!!
Clouds could have been written by Ravel for all I know!!
Tingin could have been written by Schubert for all I know!!
These pieces were bloody amazing!
I loved every one, although I have to say El Aëla was my favourite :)
oooouuuuu that could be nice references
@@tteerabeats9116 the only one I was unsure of was whether tingin sounded like Schubert 🤔
@@adamlodge491 I did hear some Schubert in one of the pieces but I won't say which 😋
@@adamlodge491 I fucking love ravel la valse played on the piano by traum us worth listening to
Same for me. El Aela almost broke my heart, it was so beautiful :')
Out of all 4 of these episodes awakening is my favorite
Before it’s too late
I listened, totally captivated… at some point during the peice I started to cry, I hadn’t realized until it was over. Thank you for sharing this one.
how often do you play piano?
him: Y E S
I found the very first one, El Aëla to be very relaxing and beautiful tbh!
I actually want all of them in my playlist
Wow! 2nd piece totally hits me x'D ... It kinda tells, what I thought I had lost, when I heard the 1st piece
Can we appreciate the time and effort you put to practice the songs ☺️
Started crying in earnest, with that second piece, after coming from the previous episode.
Before it's too late literally has me crying right now 😭
Havent watched this channel for months but today multiple videos popped up in my recommendations now theres a new videom
I liked the 3rd one the most by far
Heres my reaction for the songs
1: I tip my hat to you, one legend to another.
The first one is by far my favourite because I haven’t seen the rest
Haha thank you!
@@sherifkarama85 Your piece was amazing
the first one is totally my absolutely fave. it is so easy to listen and all the notes is just so beautiful.
Yet another amazing fans video! 😍 and 4 pieces instead of 3 no less! Great job to all composers 👏 can’t wait to hear the next round of submissions soon
The second piece by Killia sounds amazing
the thumbnail tells me everyone wrote liszt for the left hand
My favorite concept !!
Me seeing a new upload on this channel: 😄
Me seeing its a fan pieces episode: 😆
Me seeing its scheduled to go live in 11 hours:😭
Haha, true same here 🙁 7 more hours and it's kinda midnight here, bruh
1st Piece: Uff.... just Uff! - Kinda hurts just after a break up but also gives hope then. Kinda soul soothing. Can you say it like this?
Exactly how my heart felt afterward...just breathtaking 🥺😊
This proves how difficult it is to become a full fledged composer, these peices are amazing yet the people who wrote them are not well known, people with this talent should be world renown. 👏👏
godddamn that kilian davies got me tearin up real shit ngl.. young man feels all of that
Your channel is so underrated!
Boooy, "Before It’s Too Late" brought me to tears...well done, both of you.
While hearing to the first peace i was abut to cry.
I have never had some emotions like this when u heard someone playing piano
I like the first one. No gratuitous arpeggios...every note was clearly audible, had a purpose, and maximized the melody or harmony (or both). The mood was constant and clearly palpable. The resolution was definite and satisfying.
Thanks so much, I'm happy you liked it - I spent so much time crafting out every single note for the arpeggios and sometimes I felt like I was going "too far in" but having this noticed makes it completely worth it!
@@sherifkarama85It is a wonderful piece, so thank YOU for sharing it with the world!
Thank you again!@@DoubleplusUngoodthinkful I actually just re-released it on streaming platforms if you're interested!
The second piece is a masterpiece
I heard the first one and never wanted it to end it was absolutely stunning
Thank you so much for this comment, really means a lot!
