    Cassava Dough Recipe in Caramel Coconut Sauce | 'Faausi Manioka'
    Dough Ingredients
    1kg bag of gated Cassava
    1/4 cup sugar
    3/4 cup of plain flour
    Caramelised Coconut Sauce ingredients
    • 1 box of Kara Coconut Cream or 3 cans of coconut cream
    • 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
    • Hot Rock if you're doing it the traditional way of burning the sugar alternatively you can caramelised the sugar in a pot or frying pan
    Method
    1. Empty Grated Cassava bag in a bowl
    2. Add flour and sugar and mix well
    3. Form them into square dough on a foil with coconut cream so it doesn't stick in the baking process
    4. Bake it in the oven at 180° Celsius for 20 minutes
    5. Take them out and remove the foil then bake for another 5 or more minutes until it's golden brown on the outside
    6. Cool them down then cut them into cubes
    7. Prepare the coconut and sugar Carmel sauce by using the hot rock or the usual way of caramelising the sugar
    8. Add sugar in a pot or frying pan and stir until the sugar dissolves and have a nice dark brown colour but not burnt
    9. Heat up your coconut cream a little before adding the caramelised sugar
    10. Mix well then add the cassava cubes into the sauce, keep stirring and let it sit for few minutes before serving.
