Glad to help. As a tip once the vehicle battery needs a jump start you can assume it will need another jump in very near future. This especially true of lead acid battery. Be prepared. If you don’t want to invest in a new battery I would suggest getting one of these ruclips.net/video/9LacIZDTae0/видео.htmlsi=-46KSeTgXJuMz74S I alway have one in the back of vehicle for peace of mind.
That is such a good tip to let the battery charge for 15mins my E class is showing an overnight voltage of 12.03v so i have ordered a new battery from Berlin its cheaper than buying in the UK i will have to carry a spare battery from my SL around until it arrives just in case, it all started with the car not going into gear when selected on the column stalk ( christmas eve of all times i was stuck, but starting the engine a second time the fault cleared ,) , i traced this problem back to the main battery, thank goodness it wasnt the gearbox module ISM ! , thank you cheshire UK
William, thanks for the feedback and I hope your battery arrives soon. I do a lot of reviews on jump starters and had to order a variable load tester to demonstrate how the is affect during the winter months. Cheer's.
Today I had exactly the same issue: the week before the issue I was at the gas station, waiting for my turn (there was a lot waiting so I put it to Park) and when I tried to go back to D the car just spits the gear and returns to P. Did it several times and eventually waited a minute before giving it another shot - it worked. Then last night I did 3 stops and could not start it on the last try. Everything lights up but the engine does not crank. The starter was ok, all relays and fuses ok. Bringing the car to a workshop and performing some troubleshooting it lead us to the battery not being able to store enough energy. So I went to buy a new AGM battery and the car starts like a charm. My specs: 2010's W212 E350 petrol 200kw.
Like I show in this video, you have to check the starter is getting a signal to engage. The video is for a bmw but the process is the small. ruclips.net/video/GCT5Zlid2dI/видео.html Once you find out if the starter is getting a signal to entity will let know what you need to do next.
I check with multimeter, the car is at 6v now..cant even light the indicator and stuff. Should i do your step to see its working or need buy new battery car? Its hard man its my dad’s car who just passed away and idk much abt mercedes 😢appreciate ur fast response
Once your battery voltage is at 6 volts it could mean your battery is permanently damaged. I would check for possible caused that could of drained the battery this much and also check the charging system of your vehicle. You can buy a 20 dollar tester that will test both for you like I show in this old video ruclips.net/video/Zpe_oOUZsUs/видео.html How old is the battery?
@@RANDOMFIX thanks for the replies. Its lees than a year, around september 2022. to add, the car is not used for daily, just a few times since last battery change. Is that the cause that I did not warm the engine regularly?
@@RANDOMFIX hey man, i changed to new battery as ur recommendation thanks man. The car works now but new error pops up auxiliary battery malfunction. Weird bcs last time i checked this doesnt appear. Does this happen due to low main battery back then?
Yeah 9 course, just take your time and don’t multitask when jumping a vehicle. I have seen lots of people cause damage because they just didn’t pay attention
Jump start a Agm battery? Yes, you are not charging it, you are just boosting the battery to start the engine. Adding to that, there is little to no chance of our charging the battery as your only jump starting the vehicle because the battery is weak.
You can do it that way too, much make sure the area is well ventilated as some battery gas off hydrogen and there may be a spark on connecting or disconnect the battery charger.

Luis most vehicles have a jump port, they are covered and concealed with a red cover for the positive side and as for the negative you can use a lot of other ground points for negative (black). BEST of luck.

My car doesn’t even crank but accessories seem to be powering just fine. Could it still be a dead battery?
Sorry for the late reply! did you find a solution?
@@RANDOMFIX no, i have same prob, please help!
Yes, but you need to load to the battery. Enough power for accessories does mean the battery has enough power to crank.
@@RANDOMFIX do you have a whatsapp? So i can explane u the problem please?

It could be but since it’s less than a year old it should be under warranty, after you install the new battery please load the charging system.

Is it a problem if i open the battery cover and connect the wires directly to the battery poles?
You can do it that way too, much make sure the area is well ventilated as some battery gas off hydrogen and there may be a spark on connecting or disconnect the battery charger.
