While I absolutely adore the original by Fleetwood Mac, what I think I love even more about the version the Chicks did is the fact that their instruments brought an entire new life to the sound of the song and made it beautiful in such a way I could not imagine. The Chicks are brilliant.
The original will always be iconic because it came first. That being said, I prefer this version because of Natalie's voice. It just hits so different. She's singing but there's just so much sadness expressed in it, not even including the lyrics.
Seeing the mothers and daughters in the audience makes me cry like a baby. Thinking about their two different perspectives of this song, especially the mother and daughter at the first “children get older and I’m getting older, too” What an amazing experience that would be to have with my mom. Such a great video. ❤️
Ayo ngl it made me cry a lil too fam an ima grown ass man..but seeing that shit - plus the song being such a vibe - it just hit me right in the feelers 🥺🥹
This rendition is truly magnificent, one of the rare times the live version of a song surpasses the studio version. These fans are lucky to have witnessed it
The most underrated band ANY genre. All time. Nobody has done more for Country music than them. Nor has anyone created anything better than their music.
It has been a song of my life in my thirties and right now, in my forties, it's still resonating something over me, I mean, over my numerous days that have gone and another days to come.
Hang onto it, you will still love this song when you are 70, like me. I never get tired of it, and it's taken me through many life journeys, good and bad. 😊💙
When I was 7, my godmother (my oldest aunt on my mother's side) passed away. I am now 24, but not a day goes by that I don't miss her. "Landslide" was her favorite song. My mother and cousin (not my godmother's daughter(she had no kids)) went to see these wonderful, powerful women perform in the early 2000's, it was a few years after she passed away. I had begged them to take me with them because I loved the Dixie Chicks. I was raised on country and i knew most of their songs. I couldn't go because I had school the next morning. But when it came time for the girls to perform "Landslide", they called my dad and asked him to give me the phone. I sat there crying silently as I listened. When the song ended my heart felt lighter. I am so glad that I can hear them perform it live. -currently crying my eyes out...
I'm sorry for your lost of ur mom w d cuzin. I'm sure they are happy that you have spoken for them. Time heals all wounds. Keep your coolness and brave💛💙❣️ We get it , Brit💌.
An amazing story told in the most amazing way at the most amazing setting in front of the most amazing crowd...July 2024 and I still can't stop watching this and pondering how relevant each word, string, sound and scene means to me.
When they did this in 2002, I played it secretly b.c it made me sad tht I was moving & making big changes in my life...NOW 20 yrs later I play it thinking about all the adventures & places I played this song! These ladies have a way of making me stop everything and reflect..on all the seasons of my life🤍💛❤️🤍
I love this song. It's a reflection of my motherhood with my children; not wanting to see them grow up so quickly and dealing with unwanted changes in life. Changes in life can be scary but we all know that we must embrace change in order to grow. ❤️🙏
A wonderful wonderful song composed and sung by someone truly special but you smashed it Chicks. You didn't mess it you didn't muck it. You sang it the way it was meant to be sung as Stevie Nicks sang it (incomparable). Thank you Nicks and thank you Chicks.
Listening this song I am brought to tears, how I built my life around taking care of my parents while raising kids. How it all changed in the blink of an eye when they both died AND my children simultaneously grew up and no longer needed me as much. I look in the mirror and see a completely different person, frozen, afraid of living because my entire life was about others. Here’s to stepping out and living life, the older version that requires me to learn all the things that will make me happy in this moment.
Okay. So I’ve rediscovered the Dixie Chicks during this quarantine and I’m so glad I did! They’ve inspired me to finally learn the guitar; my guitar that’s basically become a decoration in my living room 😆😳. LOVE their music, love that they all sing AND play multiple instruments, and of course that they’re an ALL female country band. We need more all women bands out their showing presence! Watching the Landslide video live during their most recent tour, makes me think they should redo the video! It’s beautiful, whomever did the graphics on the screen in the background. Love you all: Emily, Natalie and Martie 🥰✊🏽🎻🎸🪕❤️💋 Play on!
These ladies are serious next level instrumentalists. I mean everytime I hear them in reminded that they can sing and play like gods. The only song missing from this set was "America's back and I'm feeling patriotter again" otherwise flawless ladies.
You guys still sound great. I use to sing this song with my mom and we always liked the Dixie Chicks version best. The layering, harmonies, and pace of the song feel more right in this version.
@@angelicamartin7491 Just look up the Dixie Chicks. Google, YT... They shit on their base and were dumbfounded when the base shit back. Bottom line - They are libbys, and most country fans are conservatives. Brilliant move by them; ruined their career as a band in one fell swoop.
My favorite voice on earth. Wish she could sing all my other favorite songs. This is by far one of my all time favorites and it’s great t see it done so beautifully performed live. I absolutely live for this song & the Dixie chicks.
I love this song! To me it’s a bit better than the original…that’s saying something! I love the harmonies throughout but especially at the end where Natalie holds the note on Maybe! I’ve always had a crush ❤️ ❤❤ on Natalie! My take: well maybeeeee…well maybeeee…I’ll have your California babyyyyyyy…well maybeeeee…the landslide brought it down!
The chicks rendition of this song is the best ever covered I'm not only saying this but fleet wood mac says this as well. There cover is timeless just like the original. And lives through generations of music lovers and just as this video shows the younger generation singing this tune. Well done ladies😊
This cover is better than the original and I loved the original. Bless you, Stevie. You ladies are so very talented, you sound fantastic, you look fantastic and welcome back! I second your comments Jim Montroy and I'm American.
When a cover is so good you have the original singer ask to play it with you, you did something right.
The Chicks crushed this cover out of the ballpark. Their voices harmonize perfectly. Well done ladies! 👍❤🇺🇸
While I absolutely adore the original by Fleetwood Mac, what I think I love even more about the version the Chicks did is the fact that their instruments brought an entire new life to the sound of the song and made it beautiful in such a way I could not imagine. The Chicks are brilliant.
Agreed. OG song goes hard af but the Chicks rendition.. with the added instruments and overall folksy vibe.. just makes it the superior version
The original will always be iconic because it came first. That being said, I prefer this version because of Natalie's voice. It just hits so different. She's singing but there's just so much sadness expressed in it, not even including the lyrics.
Her voice, beautiful. It's otherworldly. Not sure it's even a word. Props...
The Dixie chicks is like a new song…
They are!❤
Natalie is a generational voice imo. There are few that can even compare. This cover is absolute perfect.
Seeing the mothers and daughters in the audience makes me cry like a baby. Thinking about their two different perspectives of this song, especially the mother and daughter at the first “children get older and I’m getting older, too” What an amazing experience that would be to have with my mom. Great song... .thank Stevie Nicks
Indeed
After all these years, they've still got it. Incredible performance. What talented, honorable women.
This rendition is truly magnificent, one of the rare times the live version of a song surpasses the studio version. These fans are lucky to have witnessed it
How did these folks manage to calmly sing along with the Chicks? I can't get through this song without tearing up.
I’m bawling now!
I swear me either..🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I can't get through the original song without crying
Trust me they’re crying and singing
❤❤I would pay the ticket concert for to see The chicks singing just this beautiful song, I love it❤❤❤
I love seeing mothers with their daughters in the audience. Passing on the baton. Than You Dixie Chicks.
Yes, I'm sure that was on the "shot list" partly to match the lyrics
❤❤❤
Yes! Love the women sharing that moment with their daughters.
THE CHICKS DON’T YOU DARE DEADNAME THIS GROUP!!!!!!
Cast to the TV's my smart tv Phillips please help me with the TV' ok
That mandolin solo is breathtaking.
My opinion, THE most underrated voice in my lifetime!
what underrated theyve won a million grammys
She's perfectly rated. Uber successful
I love Nat's voice, J.
The sisters are pretty epic, too.
But Nat' Maines is, for me, one of the great vocalists of ever :)
The most underrated band ANY genre. All time. Nobody has done more for Country music than them. Nor has anyone created anything better than their music.
the ONLY country voice that could cross over... in my opinion
All 3 of them are so beautiful❤❤❤❤❤❤.

I am french, never put a foot in America, probably never will, but Lord knows how I love the Dixie Chicks's music and voices❤
im so glad they made this comeback.. one of my favorite country bands
They never went anywhere. They've had a huge career.
@@zoyaspencer8025 the initial comment didn't imply that this was their song or that it was a country song
@@succulentstir9907 Spot on ,my thoughts too.

One of the best live performances I've ever seen in my entire life
Natalies voice gets more amazing with time and sadly tribulation-beautiful

a timeless perfect song no matter who sings it. they crushed it
THIS is how you cover a song. You make it your own. This just sounds like a Dixie Chicks song.
I agree, I love this version more!
The Back Drop of them is sooo magical...❤❤❤
We LOVE YOU. Thanking
GOD For THE CHICKS 🎼⬆🎼😭😌
To be at this concert AGAIN! COME BACK!
VEGAS, YA'LL!! ❤❤❤

What a flawless performance you could feel the connection with the fans so much. What it's all about! I love it so much.

From Janice Fisher --impeccable….
What an inculble version of this song.
I feel like my landslide are my tears flowing as I am alone with silence as they fall on deafness. I love you The Chicks.

I love these women.
Reminds me of my Aunt Becky. She died in 2007. The most free spirited gypsy I have ever known. I love and miss you more every day!
How many groups out there can put on such a show live and sound so spot on perfect. Not too many in my opinion.
Great job.
The guy at the 3:19 mark is the best!
Haha I felt every word right there
He’s in symbiosis with the music. Incredible how music has an affect on people.
Those big screen montages are super-awesome!!!!

amazing live performance . thank you to The Chicks
I'm so in love with their music.
Heard this song on a Qantas flight from Sydney-Bangkok light years ago. Struck me then and still gets me now. Love it 🇫🇯 fan from the Fiji Islands
So much talent in these 3 women. It's too bad they were treated like they were, land of the free my ass. Oh yea, I'm Canadian.
Jim Montroy well our dipshit pm is trying her best to take away all our freedoms now so get used to it unfortunately
Trudeua...enjoy :)

That’s right, America is not a free country and if people think it is they’ve been duped.
So good, what legends❤
Im so glad they made this comeback.. one of my favorite country bands.
Natalie's voice has aged like fine wine.

Probably my favorite song of all time. Means a lot to me. Hearing it live was a spiritual experience.

Can not wait to celebrate with this chicks again-bring it on!
I will always adore this song. It brings me to tears because it reminds me of my godmother that I lost when I was little. This was her favorite song.

It's been too long since TDC have come to Canada. Come back!!!!

One of my favourite covers but nobody will ever do it like Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks is a legend!
Was about to come comment the same thing
Check out the version with Stevie joining them for this song. Its the best of both worlds.
