    I'm a guy and I enjoy Sarah's cooking so much and even used many of her recipes. She is an inspiration to myself . Forget the negative 👎 crap many of us tolerated it in school from the bullies but now as adults we laugh at that negativity crap . Anyway Sarah you keep going we love you 😍.

    I watch all the professionally made cooking shows and they’re great. However, people like you are why I enjoy cooking in the first place. I can tell you absolutely put your heart and soul into each video, each dish you make. I like the fact it’s a real kitchen because honestly, your kitchen looks just like mine and so many others. I like to cook the fancy stuff. But watching your videos just brings me back to my roots of why I wanna cook in the first place. Love you Sara!

That bologna salad, oh boy... I WILL be making it soon that is for sure. I also made a pact with my girlfriend to gift that grater to my family to help them make their famous “Placki po Wegiersku” instead of grating 5 lbs of potatoes by hand. Keep doing what you’re doing, I have a feeling you will have 500k subscribers soon! Take care and keep on cookin’! Also, I forgot to say, this looks amazing.

      Cheri the Chef miso is like soy sauce “paste”. It’s salty with an intense umami taste. Try it in fresh cucumber slices. It’s so much better than salt. My husband is from japan so it’s a stable in our home. He says in japan they claim it’s good for your digestion. Now, I’m not sure about that. LoL

    • @lorianncostello531
      @lorianncostello531 4 года назад

      Cheri the Chef i put a tbsp of miso in my homemade hummus - it adds a nice umami flavor to it. Its a good go-to when you are cooking and think “hmm, this still needs something...” 🙂

    That looks so freaking good!! A little tip when adding in your sauce, pour it around the outside of the wok and make sure it’s hot enough that the sauce really sizzles when you pour it in. And then mix it in with all the veggies. Instead of just pouring it into the middle of the pan. It will really intensify all that amazing flavor you put in your sauces! I wish I could have a plate at your table. 🤤🤤

    When my husband was alive, we had a similar electric wok as yours. We both loved kitchen appliances, gadgets, utensils, and whatnot. But I didn't get a chance to use the wok much - it became his baby. I think he just wanted to cook our stir-fry so he could add more meat than I would. I love a lot of veggies in my food.
    I want to get a small cast iron wok. Although, l have so many cast iron skillets, I am not sure it would get much use. It already takes me a while to decide which to use when I cook or bake.
    I used to loveve stir-frying with peanut oil, for the flavor. And added peanuts often.

    Funny story... About 30 years ago, I used to use one of these woks for a lot of cooking. At some point over the years, I lost it during one of my many moves.
    Then, a couple of months ago, I decided that I wanted to buy a red, West Bend Wok--like the one I used to have--like the one you're using now. I found out that they stopped making them years ago. But I found several for sale on eBay and other websites. These people who sold them would set the prices around $25 or something--not too much money, but then they would ask $40 or $50 for shipping! And all of them were like that.
    I went on Facebook and asked my friends if they had one sitting around that they wanted to sell. Nobody responded. So, I bit the bullet and bought one from eBay--still new in the box. I think I paid about $90 for it with shipping. About a week later, a friend in Colorado sent me a message telling me that he had found one at a thrift store--still in the box--never had been opened--for $5--asked me if I wanted him to send it to me! But it was too late. Mine had already arrived. I spent all that money and could have gotten one for nearly nothing.
    Hang on to your red wok!

    You've inspired me Sarah. I ordered a bamboo steamer, and you are giving great ideas. I'm planning on steaming the vegetables first, then tossing them into the wok with oil and spices. I'd also like to try your idea of the mushroom.
