learned a lot today. I thought it was the E38 750ih the placed in Sacramento for Schwarzenegger's H2 initiative, but here we learned it was the Bangle butt E65s. They were very practical and drove much like an M62 powered version. Also I thought the H2 demo car was earlier than last year - must have been another. I saw M539's 750ih. H2 from solar is the only real alternative to nuclear H2, and of course liquid hydrogen is the highest power density fuel we know of - witness the Space Shuttle. BMW rightly used both direct and port injection way back before that combo was en vogue by Toyota and others, along with positive displacement supercharging required for the volumetric efficiency H2 requires.
I can remember driving one of these at a press event in Amsterdam, although I can't remember the exact year. Must have been 2007 or 2008. Great experience with enormous potential. but it is sad to see that so many politicians push the BEV agenda without realising (or publicly admitting) how much damage it will do to the economy, infrastructure, automotive industry but most important of all, human rights situations around the globe...
I want to see more.of the episodes with special cars built by Paul Rosche and other brilliant minds of BMW from the 80s 90s etc... Like the ones you did with Christophe. When will you be doing more of these videos?
Sehr interessantes Thema aber leider viel zu wenig in die Tiefe gegangen. Ich würde mir deutlich mehr Detailinfos und ein viel längeres Video wünschen.
So many years of "playing" with hydrogen, yet nothing in series production. Hydrogen powered ICE are like a sinus wave - the appear every decade as something novel. Yet even the last "green" push did not come to fruition regarding hydrogen powered cars! Toyota Mirai tried, but seems to have failed miserably in NA and EU.
@@JoloshopDemost hydrogen cars are using electric propulsion. The problem is with Battery EVs which are not good for the environment where energy intensive mining is required to produce them.
@@AKK5I People are just blinded by that and refuse to see the transportation sector also includes airplanes and boats and large trucks. Das klingt leider schlecht. Ausbau Motor von E65 ins H2 Auto, weil es gibt keine andere solche Motor. Was passiert mir originale H2 Motor denn?

An E28 M5 running on hydrogen and I'm good for life, thank you very much 🇩🇪
M539 has restored one of the v12 hydrogen engines for his car. 🙃

What ever happend to Christof?
Terrific! Please show the 2007-08 concept car with the S85 engine but with two extra cylinders!
which car is this? v12 s75 engine???
Did they really build this engine for the CS concept or is it just speculation?
@@Freimopp777 Yes they did. Google it. It has a wikipedia page, but sadly I have never seen an engine bay picture just the exterior and interiors.
Great video as usual but we need more videos please guys!!

BMW as always pushed the boundaries of technology my all time favourite car company
Fascinating insights! Can we see the MINI ACV-30? I see it in the background at around 3:50.
Such an amazing collection.
BMW.... Always ahead of their time.
Wow very informative video😊 thanks a lot
Nice video 👍 Would have liked to see more of the e23!

Stand neben mir. An der Ampel in 1999. Ein E38, V12-wasserstoff (stand auf der Tür). In Wegberg Wildenrath. Nahe der Siemens teststrecke.
0:25 - Hydrogen is NOT an energy source!
Lot of beloved e39 stored in the secret garage 2’38 !!
At 2’48 sorry
The things I'd do to get into that secret garage
I love hydrogen!❤

Facts are in the way of the hydrogen fairytales.
hydrogen is the future.
No it is not. Electric is the future 🎉
@@JoloshopDe Hydrogen should be the future, but sadly electric is being pushed to the forefront...
Internal combustion is the future, both hydrogen and fossil fuels.
@@jakubkujawa695 🤣🤣🤣

"cleaner" with hydrogen but nowadays you would need a whole filtering system for NOx...

These videos are so interesting! 🤌🤌 Hydrogen is also something we need to invest in more.
No we don’t need, we need electric cars. Because it’s more efficient!

@JoloshopDe but Electric isnt environmentally friendly so its still not a good solution...

BMW Classics.
To mee as equal as Porsche.
Fuck hydrogen, start producing the classic parts that people need to maintain the cars built when BMW actually meant something.
