A Fresh Zelda Experience! - Zelda 2024-1 - First Look
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 июл 2024
- In this video, I take a look at Zelda 2024-1, one of several rom hacks from a fellow named Tim Davidson. I met him in a Nintendo Facebook group I'm in. This is Zelda but with a whole bunch of new twists added to it. It's very fun and I look forward to playing more of this! But for now, here's about an hour's worth.

Just requested to join the group, I love playing the classics... takes me back to my childhood
I love the classics, especially when they age well.
That's awesome! I'll keep an eye out for ya in the group. I definitely have more of this coming. I'll be recording some next week.
Ready for pt2!!! Please hit me up when it becomes available
Part 2 is up now! Check it out!
Dude this video has taken off! Good stuff my man.
Heck yeah! I knew this would perform well. I didn't know it would go THIS well! I'm still like whoa!!
So infuriating watching you miss entire screens and bombing the wrong spots. 😂
Lol yeah I didn't know where to bomb stuff in the original until later in life so I'm a bit fuzzy on those.
This might be right up your alley. Some called Hoverbat created a Zelda II remake for PC. LackAttack uploaded a 4 hour play through (link below). The TL;DR was that it was incredibly faithful to the original, but there was a lot of really good / tastfully done additional content (heart pieces, expanded dungeons, expanded overworked, new towns and new stuff to do in existing towns, new secrets, etc.
Definitely worth watching a minute or two of Lack's video see if this might pique your interest. His video has links to get it if you want to try it yourself.

I'll have to look into that! I love Zelda 2! I did a whole series on it a long time ago!
Honestly, the sword decision is a deal breaker for me. That was just annoying.
Having no sword was a bit annoying, but it did keep me on my toes and kept me guessing what if there's not one? He might have intended that.
That hack looks very interesting. Thank you for showing.
No problem! I've never played a Zelda hack before so when somebody in my Facebook group was asking about it, I jumped in. He did a great job with it and I can't wait to do more.
subbed so hopefully the RUclipss will lead me to ep 2 when it comes out.
is this available on a nes cartridge?
This has a touch of NES Zelda Hero Mode (a quest I made for Zelda Classic a while ago). Some interesting touches in the dungeons. :)
Oh that's awesome!!
@@zukovius3678 Looking forward to the other dungeons. :)
Never been so happy to see the base wooden sword.
Oh I know right? I've done swordless before. It's hard up to a certain point then it gets way easier.
How do you get this version ?
Hey it's Derrek showing off his collection. Yes I'm in the group.
Noice! Welcome to the channel! I hope you enjoy!
is this available to play. i cant find a link to it online anywhere
For what it's worth I would use the bombs to kill all but one creature in each screen. You'll get a few extras like possibly more bombs and money. And when you return to those areas there will be less enemies so you can make it further into the game by having less clutter on the screen.
When will you be playing more?
bombs can kill gleeok just need to make sure it hits the head, take most max to do it. @40:30 You can stand under a block and stab upward to kill stuff in the diamond. @1:05:45 Same as before move under the block and stab upward from below it you'll hit it. You've done this in level 2.
you missed a possible secret. those statues in 32:38 in the mountains sometimes have staircases underneath them.
They probably do. Next time I play (I don't know when that will be), I'll start moving statues and burning trees. Also gonna fight that Patra in level 9 to see what's beyond that door. No freakin clue how to get that power bracelet. Lol
What a good video
Thank you! I'm looking forward to doing more! He did a great job with that hack. He's got a lot more Zelda hacks along with hacks of other games.
@@zukovius3678 Yea please keep up the videos i enjoyed it
And why wouldnt u even attempt to purchase more than 8 bombs? Clearly things in this version are DIFFERENT!!!! Its soo frustrating watching you play this and not being able to myself. AND THEN YOU DIDNT TRY TO BOMB THE WALLS in The dungeon...OMG IM LIKE READY TO THROW MY PHONE
i really needed to know how you get the power bracelet. you left on a cliffhanger 😂
Yeah I honestly don't know. That will be a big topic of discussion next time I play this. There's no way in from the other rooms. You can't move the blocks. You can't burn them (well...I didn't try em al...) and as far as I know, I've explored the whole dungeon. So I'll be doing some arm flailing for that bracelet. Lol
its not complate yet? the game?
I'm gonna do more videos of this later. I have a wife and a kid and all the adult stuff, so I only have so much time to dedicate to my channel. It's hard to balance, but worth it. I'll probably end up making this into a series later on.
i was 7. maybe 8. when i beat this game.
year 1.
Oh that's awesome! I was a wee little guy when I first saw that golden Nintendo tape. I had no idea how to play at the time but I grew up exploring the mess out of it.
All the cool shit they can do with the rom hacks and they don't even fix the most annoying part of the game.
And what's that? The beeping?
@@zukovius3678
Yes. The beeping is okay for a second or two. It's even okay if it repeats again each minute or two. But the contant beeping is honestly the worst part of the game.
