I crashed on track 3 times in 2020 and then once at the start of 2021 so essentially 4 times in a year. It made me think about my approach and take my head out of my ass. Had two amazing track day seasons since in 2023 and 2024. Keep the faith dude!! ❤
@@vtranmoto Bummer, but two weeks is right around the corner considering how exclusive it is. 😉 I'll be missing next weekend as well unfortunately, would've been nice to start getting back into it.
Greetings that man. Look forward to your 2024 vids. I rarely do a track day more the open roads of the Scottish Highlands. Done a 1000+ miles so far. Anyway stay upright, keep between the hedges and enjoy your new season. Will we see a sub 2:20 on COTA 🤔
Thanks for watching 💪 The XR has been amazing all of these years, but I think the S1000R will become the weapon of choice for future events. Who knows, maybe I'm still faster on the XR! 🤣
@@CubanRider I am Sure not for long, I enjoy your Videos regardless of where you Film them. I would still watch a grocery run as long as you take your bike.
@@CubanRider It's true that the cup 2 is really expensive but it's really good, I'm going to try the conti race attack 2 street to see. thank you for your motorcycle videos, it's just happiness every time you watch it. be careful on the road (V)
Seems like I wasn't the only one, it was in 2023 that I lost my XR after getting pulled out on that prompted me to get my 1290 GT... which then I got rear ended on after 6 weeks of ownership... The repair process was lengthy missing all of summer, at least in the meantime i had loads of nice bikes on loan, MT09, Africa Twin, MT10, Tracer 9, CB1000R, but none held a candle to either of mine... Finally in 2024, bit of bump at the start of the year after an attempted theft on my 1290, but we're gonna have a good one this year!
@@CubanRider To be honest with you I have considered selling the 1290GT and replacing it with a Tuono V4 Factory that I test rode or a R1250GS, which really impressed me, but when I finally got it back I realised it's in a league of it's own, after getting an end can for it and dropped the front sprocket by 1 teeth it's an absolute animal, it's definitely staying for a long time!

I'm right there with you man, 2023 was the *worst* for me in so many ways. I'm optimistic for you for 2024! See you out on track!
Oh yes, it will be good, I'm hoping to be able to keep up with your new beast! 😱
@@CubanRider it is delayed again!!! lol, maybe we will get it in 2 weeks, but will definitely miss this weekend's trackday >.

I hope you the best for this new year, take care of yourself and your familly and of course a lot of riding videos !
Cheers for the update video! I am def looking forward to the S1000R track day videos! Better luck in 2024!!!
Your vids never fail to impress. Keep it up mate!
Never fail to disappoint? 😥 Okay I'll try to do better.

Awesome to watch your video's, love seeing what a well ridden xr can do and enjoying seeing the tracks stateside too, thanks for sharing 🏍️👍🏻🙂

As someone too broke to experience track days, I Look forward to your 2024 Videos
I'm about to be out of a job so I may be too broke for it as well. 😅 Not a cheap hobby that's for sure.

Your videos were instrumental in my purchase of my S1000XR. It made a great addition to my 2007 Electra Glide Classic.
Good stuff as always. Btw, look at thumbprint cloud at 7:07 and onwards.. :)
Amazing views that day!
Really enjoy your videos. Ride safe and fast, brother.
Looking forward to seeing you on the s1000r on track now!
how did you get Five gloves in the states? I wanna get a pair as my track gloves.
eBay for my daily (RFX4 Evo) and Motorcycle Closeout for the RFX1 Replicas 🤙
2024 has to be better! I think you are one of the best riders on Tube!
🙏
Would love to see you up at the Dragon.
Can't wait to be back.
I live in Robbinsville so what color S1000R should I be looking for ? :)
@@slyman0057 ha, not yet, hoping to visit later this year, hopefully after the repave 🤞
Hey Cuban, what kind of issues did you have with the speed triple? I have the same bike.
Un saludo y abrazo enorme, sólo espero todo esté en orden de nuevo lo antes posible y que por aquí estaré yo para verlo
Hi, on the s1000xr for attacking on open roads did you prefer the conti race attack 2 street or the michelin power cup 2? Have a good day
They're comparable; the Conti is cheaper, but the Cup 2 is an amazing tire and if they weren't so expensive I'd kept buying them.

I hope 2024 is a great year for you . Accuracy and braking are definitely your superpowers 😎

Nice man. I followed one on the mountain pass and it rocketed out of the corners, great bike for sure.
Can't wait to hook up and ride again 🤙
Let's go with that repave already! 🤘
@@CubanRider I'll tell them to get a move on it
ecr is better than cota?
I wouldn't say better, but smoother for sure, you don't have dips such as the ones you find at T2, T10, T18 at COTA. Both very enjoyable.
