      AI in general isn't a bad thing (my opinion). In his case, he's promoting an alternative to using expensive video editing tools such as Final Cut Pro. The target is people that don't know how to edit their own videos, don't have the time edit or don't have the money to hire an editor. It allows people with a low budget and little time to increase their exposure. Tell me why that's not a good sponsor other than that it's simply AI.

    • @T1nyFr0gg
      @T1nyFr0gg 11 часов назад +1

      @FYAHWEHL You are right that it's a useful tool for people unfamiliar with editing or who lack the time to do so, but it's essentially contradictory to the messaging of the video. It's not just for editing. He mentioned creating entire scripts, all voice-over, and other things. That's just 100% AI produced content, adding more schlock to an already overfilled scene of entertainment, bit entirely lacking in purpose or human connection

My grandma that was born in USSR constantly using Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and every time I speak to her it's like I'm talking to an algo or a social media person rather than a real person. Same applies to nearly all my family and friends. Fuck this shit. Absolutely hate it. Best of luck to the new generations to survive this, as we're about to make Idiocracy movie become reality. Why are you using a study that relates to middle aged people in a video that's about the current youth? Also, the study only *suggests* that tv lowers grey matter and there was no specification as to what the participants were watching, which in my opinion completely negates any credibility the study might have had. Why on earth would you ask the participants how much tv they watch, but not what they are watching? There have been similar studies on video games, which suggest that the specific games you play and how you play them could either increase or decrease grey matter, which means it has nothing to do with the screen and everything to do with how you engage with that screen. Though, of course there's no saying if those studies can be trusted either.
    Honestly I don't see much value in your content anymore, I can't even follow along with what you're saying and all that stock footage is not helping.

    It's laughable to lambast AI (and negatively critique Aperture for being sponsored by an AI video editor) for the escalation of brain rot/mental dissolution. The *entire* goal of social media companies, content creators, and marketers in general is to keep their audience engaged. The algorithms of the digital social sphere are run by AI... have been for a very, very long time now. Yet no one seems to have an issue continuing to use platforms utilizing this technology while, ironically, taking a stand against the very thing they're using in comment sections. If you get to the end of the video instead of being outraged by the sponsor, Aperture is saying learn to be bored. Do nothing. Take more time away from your screens. You do, in fact, have control over your own habits. Blaming AI is a copout.

This'll just further push more easily made mass produced brainrot content into the algorithms. I understand its a faster alternative but why does the AI need to do everything? You can write the text and speak it while the AI can formulate captions and the background so its still mainly a video with genuine human meaning and substance and not just words an AI assumes we want to hear about a topic. When its a person there can be genuine passion about topics and the ability to put yourself and your interests out there to connect with others. (19:50 goes into exactly what I'm saying)

    Symptoms of chronic burnout include:
    Physical exhaustion: Constant fatigue, low energy, and trouble sleeping.
    Emotional detachment: Feeling cynical, helpless, or disengaged from work or personal life.
    Decreased performance: Difficulty concentrating, reduced productivity, and lack of motivation.
    Physical symptoms: Frequent headaches, muscle tension, or gastrointestinal issues.
    Mental health struggles: Increased anxiety, depression, or irritability.
    These symptoms persist over time and are often the result of prolonged stress or overwork.

    This is the same problem that BOOKS brought to humanity. Books are evil because you write down instead of remember. You read instead of integrate with your professor's lectures. This was the shit that socrates (or plato i fking forgot) ranted about since the dawn of humanity. The problem probably isn't the tool, but the inability to adapt. Those who can use chatgpt won't grow like those who ONLY READ HEADLINES (or worse, heresay), but those who can integrate chatgpt as a part of their life have more potential in the same way that people who can comprehend scientific papers and graphs can integrate more knowledge.
    The next thing we have to tackle is the fact that being factually correct =/= being morally correct. Fact is, being right generally isn't that rewarding. Saving time, rubbing shoulders, and playing the game of thrones seem to be much more valuable and even though that sucks, I can't do anything about it :(

    THANK SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO! I've felt like this for such a long time and now I don't feel so alone! Multitasking is an overmarketed myth when it is assumed that you can give 3 or more tasks 100% of your "undived" attention

    Anyone thinking not ur gen according to Forbes and Penn medicine here is avg daily screen time by gen (not including jobs): Gen alpha: 9hr 27min, Gen Z: 7hr 16min, millennial: 6hr 42min, boomer are a little more interesting as a little less than half ~41-46% spend less than 3hrs a day but the other half as much as 10hrs a day for an avg of 5. With each groups daily going up on days off and current highschools over the last 11yrs avg 10hrs a day (though this may not account for school work screen time as that wasn't removed like work screen time was)
