It’s the final episode of the season, and we’re going out with a bang! With its 6.3ltr V8 power plant, air suspension that allows it to glide over bumps and striking vertical quad headlights this Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 is certainly something special.
We hope you enjoy this week’s episode which features a stunningly well maintained example which just so happens to be the only example in the country.

The cars of the Classic Car Club of Ceylon are always an absolute feast for motorheads worldwide! It is always interesting to see vehicles from around the world in locations around the world, hear the owners' stories and opinions on their pride and joy! I am not a fan of modern Mercedes, nor most modern cars, but I remember the old W108 / W109 models here in the USA at a time when these were a rare sight rather than extremely ordinary made for anyone with decent credit. These cars were built to a standard, and built to last, actually like many luxury cars were at times. Here, Cadillacs and Lincolns were built to a standard of excellence in the 1960s and served people properly provided it was maintained; unfortunately, we became a "throwaway society" so to keep various industries pumping out "new and improved" products. But to me, this classic Mercedes is one of if not the ultimate Mercedes models, even in lowly 280 base form! This car was also a turning point for Mercedes where horsepower became a greater focus. Thank you for sharing another great car profile! EDIT: I always love to see young women enjoying classic cars and showing knowledge and interest in the hobby! Actually, for me it was the reverse as my Mother (who had a bit of a car-crazy family) would name car models for me as a kid, and I remember being able to identify any common vehicles by the time I was five. A lovely choice!
