    This was probably the most concise and straightforward explanation of SRRV I've seen. Other channels seem confusing and they take twice as long to break things down.

    Great info. I thought you had to have a military pension to get the Military SRRV. But it appears that you only need to have been in the military for 2 years and have a pension from any source. That's great news for me.

      Exactly it does not have to be a military pension.

    Is not just USA military. there are a number of countries accepted. Eg. Australia

    • @DigitalNomadsExplore
      @DigitalNomadsExplore  Год назад +1

      There is a category of the SRRV specifically for US military because of the relationship of the US and Philippines as allies.

    • @DigitalNomadsExplore
      @DigitalNomadsExplore  Год назад +3

      Yes not just US military BUT many applicants were in the US military so that's why there is this focus. Ideal for US military or ANY retired foreign member of the Armed Forces from countries with existing military ties and/or agreement with the Philippine Government. Qualified military veterans with guaranteed monthly income of $1,000+ (social security, military pension, private pension, etc.)

    • @ReadySetGo113
      @ReadySetGo113 Год назад +1

      @TravelDiscovery101 there is no "But" qualifier to my answer. I stated other countries are also eligible. You said this was incorrect.
      Obviously you did some research and found I was correct.
      Accept you learnt something, don't try "correct" your error by adding info not in question.

    • @DigitalNomadsExplore
      @DigitalNomadsExplore  Год назад

      @@ReadySetGo113 I never said you were wrong. Ofcourse, I would double check. I'm not hiding that and I posted a more complete and correct response to you. But again many many expats are US military taking advantage of the SRRV and that is where most of my audience is watching from.

    HI I will apply for a SRRV visa soon and was hoping you could help me with some information
    1 I understand it takes approximately 3 months from the applicati0on date to secure a retirement visa . I travel often, so would it be possible to either travel away from the Philippines during this processing period or halt the application process temporarily until I return to the country ?
    2 I understand there is a $ 7000 tax exemption available for bringing personal possessions into the Philippines for the first time. Would this tax exemption extend to the importation of a motorbike??

      No. The money is really a deposit. They allow you to buy a condo with the money but nothing else. Unless something changes that's the latest that I know of. You get that deposit back if you give up your SRRV.
