What made her powerful, even through watching her from the screen, is that she doesn't wish for the crown. She enjoys and gives her best for each portion she gets into. No stress, just content with whatever is given, but at the same time feeling it, giving your best to it. That's the beauty of not always being the winner in life. It humbles you. It gives you content and the confidence that even if you lose, you won't regret a thing because it has happened to you a lot in life and that you've learned to anticipate it with such genuine positivity. So she wasn't scared of not being the winner, she made every moment memorable to her, savouring it, as if it's her last, enjoying every walk, every smile, every eye contact, every answer, everything. Plus, that passion for children, her creativity, is what added so much spice to her that no one. NO ONE can ever compare. Pia had her crown as a gift for Filipinos on christmas season. Catriona did the same. And it's incredibly beautiful. December is the best month for Miss Universe. Love it!

Every year, a new miss universe will reign. And every year i come here and still believe that Catriona is the best Miss Universe ever! Her winning will be a legend in the Miss Universe compettion. Her performance was so strong from start to finish. Her win was already so obvious even before the top 5. Had it not been with the excellent program, production and overall show, it would have been a boring fight. But not to say that other candidates were weak - the batch is the strongest in years! This is why 2018 is arguably the most unforgettable year in MU history. Not to mention it was the end of an era before COVID took over the world and changed everything.
