- Miss Universe 2018, the 67th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 17 December 2018 at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi Province, northern suburb of Bangkok, Thailand. Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, Miss Universe 2017 from South Africa crowned her successor Catriona Gray from the Philippines by the end of the event.

I would like to say that this Miss Universe 2018 edition probably the best pageant I have ever seen. They got along each other very well and we can see that even if it is a competition they’ve just enjoyed the show and do their best that it feels like no pressure at all as they have their own talent and skills. All candidates were very elegantly beautiful and intelligent in their own way. But also these Top 3 South Africa, Venezuela and Philippines ladies proves what beauty and brains must be. If only South Africa and Venezuela were at the different time surely they could have won. But course Catriona Gray shines brighter of them all.

I loved this show very much as well, because they were so friendly to each other. All of them were really nice and had great personalities. I loved Miss Vietnam too, sad she didn't make it to top 3, but there can only be 3 contestents haha.

The most beautiful Top 3 ever. What makes Catrionas win even more amazing and poignant is the company she was in with Miss SA and Miss Venezuela. The competition was fierce. Any one of these 3 ladies was deserving of the crown.

Agree! There were a lot of strong contenders that year, which makes Catriona’s win even more impressive. After she answered the final question, my thoughts were that it was going to be a challenge to top that - and it was. She was concise and on point.

Catriona's the best public speaker by communicating with intensity through his facial expression and tone of her voice with the audience. Take note that SA and Venezuela addressed theirs to Steve. Skin tone of SA was spot on, while the physique of Venezuela was almost perfect. But Catriona outperformed all them with quick, wit and her signature walk and lava-inspired gown!

There is something so magical about Miss Universe 2018 competition.... The contestants, the stage, the camera work, the ambience, aah! Perfection! Also the music Colors of Siam, so good. Never got bored of revisiting it.

I disagree. Best top 3 contenders for miss universe pagent were from miss universe 2019. South Africa- 🇿🇦- Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and Mexico 🇲🇽. Most Articulate top 3 contestants.
I don't disagree that 2019 batch were smart too but for some reason they are very forgettable. The 2018 batch had eye chatching walks,gowns, and until now people watch videos about them. Check the Miss U page you'll be able to compare the views.

Id say 2018 is the 2nd strongest. In my opinion 2015 had the strongest top 3 which were Usa, Colombia, and Philippines.
It’s amazing how Miss SA pulled it off on her evening gown. She carried herself well despite the dress made her not being able to walk properly. Hats off! 💖💖💖

South Africa was also the one to beat here but I think she messed a little bit on the evening gown competition. Venezuela was looking like a real goddess and she's constant in every aspect in the competition. The performance of the Philippines on the other hand is just so unique, different and remarkable plus here speaking ability just drived her to the crown. So Deserved.
Catriona exudes confidence and grace. She really owned that stage and made it her competition. She’s also passionate about her cause and speaks from the heart compared to the other contestants besides Vietnam. So proud to see a women from Asia shine! 🔥🔥🔥 and that walk!
