I made this video to help a family member and anyone else who needs to recite UPS's 10 Point Commentary. I purposely made it over an hour long, that way you can listen again and again. You could even play this in the car while driving. I hope this video helps you study. This commentary was taken directly from UPS and is word for word what you have to say.

I know this is not my typical type of video, but I really wanted to make something that would help people. This is the 10 point commentary you have to recite to work as a driver for UPS. Let me know if you find this useful. I guess this is just the teacher in me.

@@spcdegrace Know your 5s and 10s.. That's the bug thing..also they just make you think you're going home... if you don't pass them at Integrad...you retest at your center...relax and don't get worked up
Today is my last day at inter grad I watched this 10 point and 5 points everyday and night while driving to work. All I need to do is get the drill drive down....Wish me lucky!!!
How did you make out? I just finished Integrad a week ago...Did you have to know every word on 10s?
Ben Rapp lucky for me the intergrad teacher I had was laid back I remembered most but when I struggled they would give me hints.
Update: I got laid off after peak and got rehired as preload in February and did that for a month and they used me as cover driver until 2 weeks ago where I finally started my 30 day probation.
In class they helped you thru it. At my center I did a written test... filled in everything..we were told we could explain rhe paragraph..had titles spot on...was told I failed...I raised hell about it too..worked hard on it. Then didn't look at it for a week. Waiting for HR to find out if what I said was true or I have to memorize everything like the 5s...kinda pissed about it..but...where else I'm I gonna make 100k?
Ben Rapp damn that’s really harsh. I’m in NorCal. Yes you have all the opportunity to make a lot of money just by volunteering to help others after your done with your route. And once at top rate you’ll make more than 100k 👍

@@kevinmauidude1 it was fine, I passed. If you want to do youself a favor get use to talking about the 10 points why you're driving. Plus the two min driver drill. So it's eye lead-object, following time, you're speed. Left curb, left mirror, left curb. Then back to eye lead-object, following time, you're speed, right curb, right mirror, right curb. Then back to center. Plus left & right intersections. For the left and rights you always say clear or hazard. Most people had a hard time with this. More so if you're not use to driving a truck. You have to have 45 total and 15 need to be left or right mirrors.
They updated these, especially clearing intersections, and now you have to get the key phrase word for word also with the why, paragraph in middle can be summarized if hit all key points.

I was under the impression that I only needed the headers word for word when I went in early to not conflict with schedule. 4 hours of total study time between then and the actual test in the morning. I think this has been a huge help.
The 5 are in alphabetical order. AGKLM. Memorize the headers in order before you try to memorize the body, and listen to this video a lot. I wouldn't have passed otherwise. It will need to be word for word. I will be going to Integrad in 2 weeks.
Edit: Another tip about the 10. The first 5 are about timing and distance, the last five are about observation.

Passed class yesterday.. You DO NOT have to memorize the Ten point commentary WHAT DOES IT DO FOR YOU.... only the title and why?.. But you must be able to explain it in your own words.. You also have to get word for word.. The 8 keys to lifting lowering / the 5 keys to prevent slip and falls. And the 5 seeing habits is a must word for word.. Also 8 yard control safety rules....

@@DustinDeweerd I'm not saying its impossible to learn over time, it's the amount of time I have to learn it. If I had 2-6 months to learn I'm sure I could like the other guys I spoke too. 1 guy was a switcher already and waited till he learned then put in for the job. I'm just frustrated. I'm considering calling in the morning and asking if I can work in the warehouse. Learn it during this holiday season then try again after Jan 15.

No clue how anyone memorizes this word for word. Unable to do it and I withdrew from intergrad. Had no idea ups was looking for brainiacs to drive their truck for 20 bucks an hour. Get real.
