    I used lemon juice.
    Took over 1 week to disolve shell, then turned it into drink similar to egg liquor (not keen on alcohol, but it's tasty. Got recipie from retired ent doctor)
    So far, bowels are ok, but must keep it cold.
    Now considering using vinegar and try different recipie (without alcohol)

    I once had a meal in Paris (@La Flaubert) - the first course was what looked like an dinosaur egg sitting in a green & white nest. The egg was coated in fried crumbs like a schnitzel. The nest was made of shavings of asparagus, and the egg was runny like a soft boiled when cut into. Amazing! I always thought that they used vinegar to melt away the shell before battering and deep frying.

      Great observation! Yes, they might be using this trick to leave their customers in awe....Great to read about your interesting experience. Thanks!

    If I use rice vinegar and keep it in the fridge, is it edible? And if I dip it in honey after I melt the shell, so that honey draws out the water in the egg (I already tried) then can I dry it in s dehydrator? And do you think i could eat it raw?

      Hi Sun Wuer Yier. Though Rice Vinegar is less acidic than normal vinegar, it should be used for seasoning only. The egg dipped in it would have undergone a chemical reaction to loose its shell and we would prefer not eating it. You entire question is very very interesting and yes you could dehydrate the egg but again consuming raw or undercooked eggs can lead to one getting Salmonella infection!

      No we did not use a cooked egg but used a raw egg. It could be eaten but is not advisable since it would taste heavily of Acetic Acid

    I am doing this experiment for school, and it said it takes 1-2 days for the egg membrane to be complete clear. If that is the case, then why is mine taking a week?😭

      Hi. We hope you took a raw egg and dipped it in vinegar. It shouldn't be taking so long for sure!

    Does the mass of the egg become larger than before

    • @ExperiHub
      @ExperiHub  7 месяцев назад

      Yes the mass will increase due to some water from the vinegar entering into the egg. Kindly read the description below the video in order to understand the process in detail.

    WHATS WRONG IF YOU BOIL IT?

      In that case you should use a deshelled boiled egg.

    • @ExperiHub
      @ExperiHub  2 года назад

      Hello .
      You would be able to observe the shell disappear after 24hrs or so. Thanks for watching !

      The softening of the egg varies . It normally happens in 24 hours but could take a bit longer!
