- This is the fourth video about our latest Hot Wheels Sizzlers Fat track. This particular track was 1969 feet long. This video shows a car going around the complete track. This is the world's longest hot wheels sizzlers track ever constructed (2014-05-17). 1969ft Sizzlers fat track. Audience recording of Warren Haynes/Gov't Mule.
I dreamt about having tracks like this as a kid.

Absolutely amazing! Congratulations on your accomplishment! I owned a lot of Sizzlers cars and multiple tracks as a kid back in the early 70s. When Target re-released Sizzlers for a limited time back in 2006 I bought four Giant “O” sets and three Figure 8 jump sets. I grabbed every single car I could get my hands on too, shopping at several Target stores in my area! Thank you for the memories and I only wish I had a fraction of the amount of track you have!
If you don't mind if I ask what car body was used for this video? It's a very stable running body/chassis. It sort of looks like the Mustang 302 Boss in white but I can't really tell. Thanks!

I had the original hot wheels single orange track at first then got the Sizzlers Fat track. I had forgotten all about the Sizzlers.Brought back some great memories. Thanks

I'm 58 and this brings back memories. I received one for x-mas when I was a kid. These are battery operated and when you race 4 on the track was amazing. They last about 5-6 minutes and then you just charge em back up !
brian: i didn't have a track so i ran my car around a tether made from mom's thread and a thumbtack stuck in the soft tile floor (at the joint so my dad wouldn't bitch about it). the little recharging hole in the body was a perfect spot to tie the thread. i used a sub-mini male plug to recharge my cars from a tyco transformer- i was 11 or 12 so it was one of my first device hacks!

I am 58 as well and for the same one Christmas. Loved it. They relaunched it and I still have that one.
if that is 1969ft, I did the math and GOOD GRAVY Hot Wheels move at an incredible speed for their size.
1969ft very roughly converts to 42 1:64 scale kilometers. and since the car took 3:42 to complete the course (I didn't bother accounting for the crash, which means the car is even faster scale wise than my numbers, but I don't want to get super technical)
that roughly translates to 670km/h! that's insane! (415MPH)
The car in the video was a slow Sizzlers car. Slow cars wreck less. We used a speed gun to see how fast a Sizzlers car can go in miles per hour in another video. Watch the following video, do some math and you'll see 670km/h is nothing. :) - ruclips.net/video/hSwPpyZP2WQ/видео.html
The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer wow not even close both of you might want to go back to school or try that math again and yes ive seen your speed test (simply read the number off the gun) you messed that up as well. hint it has something to do with a decimal point.

It's called the racing line, it's the optimal path to take to achieve the best lap times.
It's good to know that Hot Wheels still makes Sizzlers. I got my set for Christmas 1970. They would have lasted only half your track on the batteries I had. One thing I wish I saved was my Johnny Lightning set I got in Christmas 1969.
Unfortunately, they don't make Sizzlers anymore and haven't for years. Best toy ever imo. The Sizzlers car went the whole way around the track because we put a brand new battery in the car and new batteries in the charger. First off, I stumbled onto this post by pure accident. Regardless of the criticisms below, you took me back to when I was a kid and dreamed of having my own Sizzlers car. I shoveled snow @ $0.25 per driveway to save up to buy my first one. At $5.75 each (TAX NOT INCLUDED), that was a lot of snow removal for a 6 year old! Great set-up! And gee... to only have one wreck on a track that long built on top of a lawn .... WOW! Thanks for the nostalgia, and never mind the jerks bitching about what scale speed the car was going.... that was awesome!

Wow. I thought the car had to be modified to run that long, but it's stock. That's amazing!
More amazing is the sheer amount of wide track you put together. If you bought it, that would cost a pretty penny nowadays. Those cars and tracks came out in the Seventies, when I was a kid...unless Mattel kept making them and I never noticed.
I'm so blown away by the car's performance and the length of the track, I'm not sure what to say. Mainly, I'm kicking myself for not holding onto my Sizzlers and the track from when I was young, and my brother's as well.
We had heaping helpings of fun with them. My bro used to slick up the tracks and our house's marble bathroom counter with soap, Windex, and WD40, charge the cars, and let them go...they would fishtail and burn donuts like nobody's business, and it was, and still is, the greatest thing ever.

That wasn’t our first attempt, and it wasn’t the last. We tried for three hours to get a complete run without a wreck, it never happened.

surely a world record
While this track is 300ft+ longer that the record, it is not an official guinness record because I didn't do all the things you need to do to qualify. For example, you need witnesses to write papers about what they saw, you need to have a surveyor present for all distance records, they like media present, and a few other things.

I'm 57 and think this is BA. Had these as a kid myself. GREAT job! Would never had guessed the cars could/would run that long. The NASCAR fan in me thinks you're loosing speed/time by scrubbing the wall on those long straights. LoL!

I had a set of these when I was a kid. How did you get the charge on the car to last so long? I recall these cars only stayed running for about 60-90 seconds on a single charge.

Where can you buy sizzlers or even regular hot wheels track these days?
The orange Hot Wheels track is available at Walmart, probably other stores too. Unfortunately, Hot Wheels Sizzlers cars/tracks haven't been sold at stores in years. You can get some fast Sizzlers cars at sizzlers.racing , some working and non-working ones (and track) on ebay.com. I've also purchased Sizzlers track at yard sales and flea markets.
That is crazy, rad cool. It's somewhat amazing how many people don't know what a "Sizzler's" car is. Its a little rechargeable battery powered car. The whole deal was to race 2 or 3 or 4 at a time for a couple / few minutes at a time. It was really fun. I even bought a set a few years ago when it was re-issued and my kids loved it. I don't understand the negativity at all.

Actually 10 cars on that track wouldn't make a good video. The odds of 2 cars being close during the race would be slim and none. An illusion. The cars go fastest when they run down the middle of the straights and never touch the sides. We used a Jeep to record the following video and you'll see some speed here - ruclips.net/video/cDL4D_7VXrQ/видео.html .

When I was little we were playing with a couple of Sizzlers on two Fat Track sets in the driveway. While they were racing, an owl flew down and took one of the Sizzlers away. My sister cried.

I remember when Sizzlers first came out...I wanted them sooo bad, but my Mom deemed it too expensive. Two years later, she bought me a slot car setup, but I still missed having those Sizzlers.

I don't have enough space to do this, but I am going to have a set up one day so I can enjoy my memories of youth with a reality of my wisdom!!! I was 9 years old when my parents bought my first SIZZLERS Racing Set. Now I am 60 and have 3 or 4 sets.

Lots of people in the comments don't seem to realize exactly what Sizzlers are. They are small battery powered cars on just a standard plastic track. They originally came out in the early 70's. Back then we just ran them on standard Hot Wheels track. They were great because you didn't have to push them or run them down a hill. Just plug into the charger for a couple of mins and they ran like a scalded rabbit.

Wow, the batteries in these things have gotten better! They never lasted that long when I was a kid! Also, the track has gotten a little better... it only jumped off once, even with all those u-turns. Impressive.
Thanks!! The batteries now days are better than the original ones. We put a new battery in the car and we used new batteries in the charger to get the car to go around the track.
