Really impressed with this press conference. After three gruelling matches and losing the Final, she’s super composed, very honest, congratulated her opponent. Recently I have seen some great press conferences from many players. Real kudos to them and Jess, you are a terrific player.

Huge Sabalenka fan for years but Pegula showed me this tournament she has more than enough to win Majors in her career. Her Semis win was unique to most of the players out there mentally and she played like Champion in the Final yet lost to a Champion.
She got $1.8M for 2nd plus the lovely designed Tiffany plate. US Open biggest purse $75M compared to the other 3 grand slams. This is why all the female ladies wants to win it so bad. It's also difficult with the weather element to win the Trophy. Test you both mentally and physically.

Great job Jess you gave her all she can handle just couldn't hold that serve when you needed too at 5 4 6 5 still great run you'll be back keep grinding.
After comong back from 0x3 to 5x3 I was expecting a third set. Maybe you should come more time to tne net and vary your shots, some drop shots here and there. Great match though.

Jessica played excellent aggressive and accurate tennis. I'm surprised few are mentioining how poor Aryna's first serve stats were. I watched the whole match closely. The match would have been a lot less close if Aryna had got 60%+ first serves in. Aryna is the most powerful woman player since Serena. I feel that the home crowd made it very hard for Aryna, she looked uncomfortable throughout the match and couldn't relax.
Things might have been different had she gotten the first set to tie-break. Her level dropped off at 5-5 in the first set. She then got into a funk. Did not take a break to refocus, then went down 0-3 in the 2nd set. She turned it around, but spent too much energy just getting back. She was never going to keep up that level to win the 2nd set much less the 3rd had she somehow won the 2nd set. The issue was the drop in level at 5-5 in the 1st set.
Those were the worst press conference questions I have ever heard in my entire life it was all questions about how do you feel how do you feel how do you feel and not one question about strategy and and key match play about the match. Insanely ridiculous

I feel that the home crowd made it very hard for Aryna, she looked uncomfortable throughout the match and couldn't relax.
Class
Things might have been different had she gotten the first set to tie-break. Her level dropped off at 5-5 in the first set. She then got into a funk. Did not take a break to refocus, then went down 0-3 in the 2nd set. She turned it around, but spent too much energy just getting back. She was never going to keep up that level to win the 2nd set much less the 3rd had she somehow won the 2nd set. The issue was the drop in level at 5-5 in the 1st set.
Jess played great- really a close match.
Jessica is much better than sabalenka. Jessica just needs to work on her mental game. She has all the shots, and more class then Sabalenka..❤😢
Sabalenka is 6-2 vs Pegula. Sabalenka has won 3 majors, while Pegula has 0. Sorry, but Sabalenka is better.
Those were the worst press conference questions I have ever heard in my entire life it was all questions about how do you feel how do you feel how do you feel and not one question about strategy and and key match play about the match. Insanely ridiculous
Really Really. I wish all tennis players should talk the way Medvedev talks during press conference. He always says i lost because the winner was a better player than me. I tried to make it better but i was defeated
In fact she gave the match away. Third set would have made the match more even
Kinda looks similar to Ons Jabeur😊
she is beautiful!
Shame she couldn't hold her serve to take the 2nd set. It could have gone either way in the 3rd the way Sabs was wobbling a lot.
Ones of rhe best press conference I've seen, especially from a losing player. Honest, funny, congratulatory, articulate, eager to answer, not dismissives.
Wow bozo, think she would give you the time of day if you saw her at a bar? Why do lonely nobodies like you babble like bipolar retarts on here. Let people decide for themselves ya schmuck.
