Awsome riding. Josh White has some of the sickest tricks back then such as the candy bar look back. I don’t think there was another pro at that time that did that. Except for Mat who would eventually turn pro
I was going to say just that! Also nice to finally see Josh’s one handed, cancan 540 after having read about it so long ago. Ron’s front wheel manual flyout was also cool.
I'm not 100% that double whip was in 88. That's footage from an indoor ramp. The 23mag website has a tricklist with comments/claims from old school riders, Joe Johnson claims the tailwhip air in 88 and doubles a year later before anyone else managed a single. I saw Johnson ride at the world's in 88 I think it must have just been before he got tailwhip airs as he was still doing tailwhip flyouts. McCoy was there and rolling tricks were starting to become dominant. On vert the things I remember most was the tailwhip flyouts and Carlo Griggs getting 12'+ out of an 8' ramp (the crowd was laughing when the organisers put up the height pole, 8-9' was considered to be the highest anyone got on one of those ramps then)
Great times. Legends thankyou

Also cool that Josh is back on a 20" bike after all these years.
