Lovely small layout, very nicely detailed and gives a great aura of a little rundown yard. Got to agree with you on the modelling Boomer puts out, some of it is just jaw dropping and watching his stuff has made me far less worried about scratch building. Although his buildings look complicated when he shows you how it's done methodically and simply.
I clicked on your video and realised that your trackplan of the Inglenook layout is the exact same as the one that I am building! It even has the little headshunt on the 5-wagon siding :) it is really nice to see what you can make out of a simple wooden board with tracks, maybe one day mine will look just like yours!
Absolutely outstanding. A simple shunting puzzle that has been turned into a masterpiece. The attention to detail is perfect. Little is more. Well done
What a pleasure to listen to and reflect upon your adventure. Agreed on Boomers style and influence and your description of the colour palette. Thank you for sharing the experience and happy modelling as you build your skills.
Thanks for the layout history, it is interesting to see how it is progressing, a well detailed layout, the raised trackwork gives it more real look and the fact it could be anywhere at any time adds to it's appeal. Nice one.
Nice layout, I am looking forward to you shunting on it, but cannot see why the head shunt when there is no run around. I know its going to be an Inglenook type layout.
I'm researching micro layouts at the minute but my modelling skills are non existent as well as being totally colour blind could make for some interesting scenery combinations 😂 this looks exactly what I'm after though with a class 20 or 08 shunting a few trucks around...
Sounds a good plan .. Remember as you come up with track plan to take into account the length of the loco. A class 08 is perfect on here but a 20 or 25/24/31 restricts what operations you can re create.. A 37 is too big really but theirs always a reason you can come up with for anything being here🫣

What an absolute gem. You also have a great voice and tell a good story. Great work!
I just came across this video .... Subscribed!!! 👍
Great looking wee layout. Love the level of detail and the general feel of the setting.

Thanks for the comment. It is always as much of a challenge not to add too much.
Looks absolutely plausible and could be part of an end to end layout.
Superb work Sir
Excellent overview. Totally sympathise with the simple intent that grows and grows...!
Too true

Glad you enjoyed it! Could not agree more re Boomer.
Your layout is so good looking the colours are so authentic. Happy New Year
Thank you... It's getting there lol.
layout. Done.beautiful scenery.
Great looking map. The fence is a good touch. Apply a hint of weathering to those railcars and a few figures and it will floor people. :)

Thanks
The close-ups don't do justice to the layout. From normal viewing distance it looks absolutely perfect.👍
Nice layout, I am looking forward to you shunting on it, but cannot see why the head shunt when there is no run around. I know its going to be an Inglenook type layout.
Looking great
