But yuji being double doesn’t dwarf the other characters and their ability to black flash when it’s convenient, like sukuna landing 3 black flashes in the brawl with yuji and maki restoring his rct and ct. yuji can black flash a lot but when gojo did it on sukuna it HURT I’d say yuji is more quantity over quality with how it was at the time

The devs didnt want to make black flashes random because they didn't like the idea of people winning in a fight because someone was luckier and more black flashes than the other person especially since black flash damage gets pretty insane.

honestly both games are very fun and good dispite being in beta, boils down to preference.
no sorcery is pvp focused with dogass pve. I don't think I need to explain why enemies doing 1/3 of your HP in uncancellable aoe attacks is bad. The missions also suck. Cursed sense isnt good enough for the amount of stuff out have to do on these giant ass maps.

Although, I swear to gosh they can co-ordinate attacks. Like, one gets you in an air combo, and the other one is waiting exactly where you’ll land to M1 you.
@@solarsirius Well, as a sorcerer I can confirm that they do big Aoe dmg , two being parriable but the third, which is the worst is not blockable, parriable, nor anything, just free dmg for them

I haven't played JJI but it's seriously a refreshing experience to have a jjk game that isn't a battlegrounds game. I mean sure, Sorcery turns into one in the endgame but the Culling Games for Special Grade is an awesome idea to have you be skill checked by others and yourself in terms of pvp as it will be the only content (for now) after you are max lvl. Sorcery kind of gave a dumb AI the tools of the players and just cranked their damage up to countermeasure their stupidity (for curse npcs atleast) and make it difficult. It's not hard to make a pve system better than that but what I think is the problem might be lack of feinting. Deepwoken npcs have feints to mix you up and if you fall for it, that's an actual skill issue which teaches you what players will do in pvp. Sorcery's npcs don't teach you anything about what pvp will look like so you're kinda forced to just get good when you reach lvl 99. Also the squishiness of players is one of the main problems I got with Sorcery's pvp (not counting the fact that vitality is basically useless currently??). These cursed gems are kind of good but completing a mission should quarantee atleast giving you one considering that the max lvl for a move is 5 and you have a lot of them.
Sorry if this is too long but this is how I see the game as someone who hasn't played (or you know, payed) the superior game. Might as well call me broke but that's all for this yap session.

I can't even fathom what was going through any devs head when they looked at heavenly restriction's near zero damage and they thought "oh yeah lets give them regular stats". Like I should not have LESS HEALTH than a sorcerer or curse after I picked TWO HP CARDS on HEAVENLY RESTRICTION. The entire point of HR is that its physically far superior to sorcerers and curses. But I'm just not. You do not damage, you have no health, you have no RCT, and you have nothing to do against domains. HR is just so absurdly weak right now.
With everything they don't give you, they should at least make you unaffected by domains (like how it works with Maki)

@@savageclasher1014 idk if you just suck at the game, but you’re just at the will of domain expansions (essentially an instant win), you have to go against techniques with 3x the range and 1-2x the damage, AND all your stuff is easily parryable or blockable. The TP is good because it’s hyper armor and interrupts skills, and shadow step is good because it’s fast asf. The other 2 moves are absolute garbage. You lose out on essential parts of the meta (RCT and Domain Expansions) and get 2 good moves, when the higher tier CTs have 3-4.
The whole "it goes against everything black flash is supposed to be" is kinda canon because black flash feels like a retcon imo. Originally, it was just really precise use of cursed energy to the point that using it was basically random. But Gojo said that there are other needs than simply precise CE manipulation because otherwise the six eyes would let him do black flashes constantly. The focus bar makes more sense than random RNG because I'm pretty sure that currently, black flashes are a mental thing, and you need to be in the zone to hit them.
as a game jojutsu infinite feels way more like a jjk game sorcery feels like an ass version of type soul [wich is not a good game eather]

Black Flash is said to be going into the zone, not that it PUTS you in the zone. Thats why Yuji does them so well, because he genuinely WANTS to be a sorcerer and help people, most of the others is a sorcerer for an alternative reason or its just harder for them to go into the zone. Hence why people like Sukuna and Gojo didnt hit it often because its hard for people like them to lock in.

@Reaconteur not entirely. Hitting one WOULD put you in the zone because you essentially get the timing down, and it's easier to go with the flow, but that's a misinterpretation. If you tie Gojos statement with the original statement, it becomes clearer. Black Flash is a technique in Jujutsu Kaisen that involves applying cursed energy to a physical strike within a millionth of a second. This means it's a mix of a timing thing in a sort of rhythm that takes being IN the groove. Name one time someone doesn't seem to be in the groove before hitting a black flash. It's always in a special moment during a fight or when the characters are in that rhythm.

I think Sorcery has better PvP, and I personally think it's visually better but I know a lot of people disagree with that. Where I think Jujutsu Infinite has waayyy better PvE, especially with like he said the Dagon boss fight, but the PvP isn't very fun. No game is really better than the other, they just specialise in different things, so it's just about which kind of gameplay you prefer
heavenly restriction bypasses domains and can invade them, the only thing this doesn’t work on is infinite void and shrine
Tbh sorcery's cursed energy system where you have to use E and another button is really unique and usable. I cursed parry all the time, and the reward for using it is MASSIVE. You get a free combo starter if you just press E and Q whilst doing a single jump to give you way more distance. And as for Cursed sense? I just do it with my index finger and thumb, which is totally fine. Sure is it a little bit annoying? Yeah initially, but once you get used to it Cursed Parry becomes one of the most rewarding things to learn in this game.
thats what im saying, its also lore accurate to black flash with it since you're sending the cursed energy right before it, its not like using a cursed technique where you just do it. (although black flash isn't rng but i prefer the rng aspect of it much more)
I honestly prefer JJI's Black Flash system. Even if canonically it's not accurate to how Black Flashes work, it's a lot more mechanically interesting and is just better game design in my opinion. A random crit in games will never feel fully great since it's just luck. The entire ramble on the Focus meter was weird, like it's not trying to emulate the "flow state" it's just the name of the meter, could be replaced with any name they just went with focus. Regardless, Black Flash in JJI feels way better to use since it's in your control when to use it, or if you use Chants instead. Sure, again, it's not canon, but it should've been the same as how you addressed each games Domains. One is more accurate, the other is better game design. But for me, I could give less a shit about accuracy when game design is the more important thing.

also from a gameplay stand point, having the choice whether to use a move rather than it randomly triggering and having to press e then the move for a really slow startup attack thats just gonna get cancelled really sucks

Admittedly, Black Flash isn't *truly* entirely random. There's a randomness aspect to it, but in every situation where a black flash is landed, there's also a mindset that's truly locked in. I think it shouldn't be guaranteed all the time in either game, but you should have to *try* for a black flash in order to possibly land one.
Generally, the keybinds are better for landing it in JJI, imo, and I prefer that one.
Black flash is really a narrative tool rather than a intended sorcery thing. Even Gojo cant use it at will, Blackflash just represents milestones in fights and mindsets, its a narrative Tool more than anything, its really hard to put it in a game, as no implementation of it would actually be accurate, since theres no narrator in game.

A thing I've noticed thats different about JJI and Sorcery's black flashes. JJI's does a SHIT TON the second you land it, Sorcery's is subjective. It changes person to person because of the skill leveling system, a level 5 black flash has the chance to proc the "Its not Right or Wrong" audio, which deals up to 2 if not more bars, and ontop of that if you land 5 consecutive flashes and hit a 6th, you get a cutscene that deals atleast 160 damage, most people running about 180-200 health builds. Which can be really beneficial or not, because black flashes do damage to the user, so in Sorcery sometimes you dont want to black flash because you might knock yourself using it to clutch a fight if you're low

1:20 its not more accurate because black flashes are not random in jujutsu kaisen, they are perceived to be random by the jujutsu sorcerers because it requires an insane amount of focus to pull one off, think of it like in this analogy:
You're playing a rhythm game and you suddently hit a 1ms key note, you think you got lucky and thats it, the REALLY good rhythm game players hit 1ms notes on the regular, the difference between you (a random jujutsu sorcerer) and a really good rhythm player (itadori) is that you are nowhere near as good as him both in focus and in reaction speed, he can hit the 1ms notes (black flash) on the regular because he has an insane amount of focus on the game and his reaction speed/time is far above yours.
they explain in jjk that a black flash occurs when you manifest cursed energy within 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit, THAT isnt luck, thats why i believe jujutu infinite's black flash is more canonically accurate than sorcery, although they should lower the black flash window ngl because if anyone can pull off a black flash in the regular then theres no meaning to pulling off a black flash.

@@Reaconteur its an educated guess that makes logical sense given what we were told in the manga, if a black flash occurs within 0.000001 seconds of a physical hit (confirmed) it means that someone with incredible focus and reaction time is very much able to do it on command, we have seen that with itadori.

@@Reaconteur have yet to see a source, what i said about black flash is stated on chapter 48 and emphasizes on itadori's absurd concentration, which didnt come from the "zone" because he hadnt landed a black flash up until then, he litteraly became concentrated (enough to even drool) and threw out a black flash, because thats the only requirement thats necessary to pull off a black flash, absurd concentration and reaction speed.

Taking or dealing damage decreases or increases the chance of it proccing on your next m1 so its also dependent on how well youre playing. If you absolutely violate someone in a fight then your next 3 m1s are gonna have a black spark.

Heavenly Restriction *does* counter domains. I personally have it, me and 2 of my friends figured out the affects of domains do not apply to those with Heavenly Restriction. (The only ones it does succumb to that I know of, are Infinite Void & Malevolent Shrine). Chimera Shadow Garden doesn't stun, Jogo's domain doesn't burn me. I guess it also doesn't counter Idle Death Gamble, but there's no real "counter" anyway
i think the worst part about domains in sorcery is how it takes so little to get their bars filled (mainly bc all players are squishy/do mad damage)

In sorcery I am glitched permanently where I can't get past level 25 and I saw on other videos cards appear every certain amount of levels that allow you to upgrade your stats which never appeared for me

The rant you went on about Sorcery's cursed energy system (specifically, pressing E before certain actions) seems kind of silly to me. For cursed sense I've always gotten by fine using my thumb to press N, and black flash feels fine to use as long as you have it on 1, 2, or 3.
1 2 and 3 still restrict your movement by forcing you to take your fingers on both A and D

JJI is well made already, but thats because the devs are already confident in allowing testers, and theyve been developing since... forever lol.
Sorcery is a game that has FAR less development time, and as such, many mechanics are still incomplete, such as overpowered AI (that can't climb walls), unbalanced skills, weird/unexplained details and progression, and just overall needs a lot of polishing. However, people still need to give it a chance, since everyone seems to forget that games don't just start good, especially if it's clearly in testing/alpha. Games need time before they can be judged properly.
Take minecraft for example, in its early stages, it was literally just grass and stone, nothing else, no survival mode, no block variety, no mobs, and just overall a bad game that didnt seem too promising. Then, a few years later, its the best selling game, and for good reason.
TL;DR, dont shit on sorcery just yet, since its in testing and under development. If they do a full release without fixing much, then shit on it all you want, but dont kill it before its born.
They should make it where when you lose your arm and grow it back, that singular arm will do 10% more damage for 15 seconds and cannot be broken again for 30 seconds because when your arm is broken and then fixed, it will be stronger than it was before.

they really do need to nerf curse npc damage; playing as a curse is SO much easier cause the sorcerer npcs are straight up easier.
i know no one cares but i actually love the arm losing system, i think that there are some issues with it (certain moves shouldnt take your arms) but i love having to try and figure out how to regen my arm without dying, it adds so much more to the fight. And if you manage to lose both arms, then you can use moves that use your feet (spiderweb, crushing stomp, and flash throw for whatever reason) then you can regen both your arms.
icl any game with solely mission based progression is such an L, especially when its in a private server with no interaction

It is easy to get, then pop in the middle of the battle? ex: Sorcery, then no, it should not by any means mean an instant win, it should be like an advantage but not an instant since it's mostly another move of the list. Then, It's hard to get then hard to pop in battle. Ex: JJi. Yeah, or maybe not a instant win, but on sm way it gives you great advantage over your opponent so its like one instant win since it's hard to get and to avoid getting cancelled. In both cases, there should be a counter measure, in this case simple domain, that is a little easier to get but still hard so players still want to look after DE, but if they don't get it, they can use SD.

Btw in sorcery me with no clan buffs and 25 points in sorcery can get around 50% of my hp with a full bar of cursed energy. I think it drains based off of percentage, which is busted.
Are we forgetting the fact that sorcery prevents you from reusing a code in a completely separate slot whether it be a different slot or a wiped one.

Glad you mentioned the E mechanic in sorcery I instantly thought that it was stupid, not only is the timing funky but pressing e and q at the same time also limits your ability press the wasd keys... for a movement ability.
I'm glad they're doing these free open tests but they need to rework a lot of things.
I've never seen a dash in any game require you to press two buttons to pull it off.
Also the E parry move is trash.
I honestly don't know how press E and Q limits your movement. Just press E with your pointer finger and Q with your ring finger. Hold W with your middle finger and turn your camera to move in any way you want.

The only option for strafing is to move your pinky and press a.
Personally I have less control in my pinky than I do my other fingers, it's also my weakest finger. Also it's my shortest finger so I can't press down on the keys as well from that angle since I don't have the proper leverage.
It's possible to strafe but it's uncomfortable all this could be avoided if we took out the stupid design choice of dashing using E + Q
the dash doesnt REQUIRE you to press to buttons to pull it off, you can dash in any direction by only pressing Q, Q+E buffs ur front dash but isnt required, if you cant start a combo without it then start doing arial m1s/heavy attacks

id say jji does black flashes better. rng might work in a more casual game, but for jji which wants to take its pvp more seriously having ur black flashes be tied completely to skill works best (balance should prioritize canon). plus, u can turn some of your moves into black flashes on top of just m1s, and u can even unlock different black flash variants on top of that, such as a teleporting black flash, so overall jji also has more variety.
I think changing e and blackflash is a bad idea like black flash is super common if you didnt need to press 2 keys you would be hitting it successfully way more often

i like the e requirement for the black flash otherwise you would just start spamming your black flash key mid m1 combo and be able to hit it every time, i like that it requires more coordination and reaction speed (also this is from before the rework it might be way worse now after the rework, and also i ran black flash on my 3 key)

I think in the long run sorcery will be way better, as the game is currently only 2 months in development with about 1 developer.
Wouldn’t it help by making each stat point give .2 points per level so once you put 5 points into a stat you get an entire point. I feel like they should just rework it but this could make it somewhat better so it doesn’t feel like your points are worthless until you put 5 in a stat

Both are fun but JJI feels like I am the Jujutsu Kaisen where as sorcery just feels like deepwoken but you added black flash and limitless, which is fun for combat, but it doesn't exactly feel like JJK
I still find both games really good but I play sorcery more cause JJI just has little to do after you get max (I am NOT grinding for everything in the game)
Also, Coffin of the iron mountain copied CSG cause it came after 🤓
ye like, in JJI we have REAL curses. in sorcery we have people with horns. in JJI we got good visual effects and colorful thingys. in sorcery, everything is white/black/gray and the effecft are pretty dogshit. in JJI we got accurate skill tree tho

jujutsu infinite is either a big hit or a big disappointment and sorcery is like a 6.5/10(not counting progression that much since its early game is fast and unfinished)

Jujutsu infinite has a lot of less accurate abilities from the show due to the devs prioritizing balance and diversity over canon which i cant blame them for doing so, while jujutsu infinite is a jujutsu kaisen game they are not planning to make it exactly like in the show and thats fine
100% disagree on your interpretation of black flash. You cant dislike infinites version because its less impactful or game changing, but it is, inherently, true to the source material. A black flash is random, but it isnt completely random. Gojo states there are several things you can do to increase your chances. On top of that, black flash never randomly happens in the manga. It always happens in extremely high stakes moments where the chips are down, or a character is extremely locked in. On top of that Gojo states that in order to land a black flash, you have to "go for it." It isnt something that just randomnly happens during a fight, it is the culmination of your fighting prowess, mastery over jujutsu, and drive to achieve something. Yuji lands black flashes on hanami to prove smth to todo, kugisaki lands a black flashe to show that she can keep up with Yuji, Yuji lands black flashes agaisnt mahito to fight for his ideals, nanami lands black flashes to save his students, gojo lands black flashes to prove he is worthy of challenging and beating sukuna, sukuna lands a black flash on maki to prove that sorcery is stronger than the body, and finally, yuji lands black flashes on sukuna because if he doesnt, the world is lost. Black flashes are about mentality, not luck.
