Just like in a stationary home, propane gas and carbon monoxide are threats that should be taken seriously. While it’s not likely that you will have a problem or leak, you still need to have a way to know whether something is wrong. And while propane gas has a smell to it, carbon monoxide gas cannot be seen or smelled. Both are incredibly harmful to your health if they make their way into your living area, which is why having an alarm to alert you to potential threats is a vital part of RV safety.
My keystone Montana 3781Rl has this model. Febreeze and Lysol will set this off very easily even when using these products on the complete opposite side of the 41’ 5th wheel.
Is there a way to silence it? We are boon docking and quit hours, so we are not able to run a generator yet.
