Hey brother, what's up and one love from Đà Nẵng Việt Nam, it's been a while.
My Vietnamese wife, her daughter and I have decided to move to Europe and Montenegro was one of the places I was looking at, because it was suggested to me by my Italian friend, but after watching many RUclips videos on it, Montenegro looks a bit boring and lacked diversity from every RUclips video I watched, it seems like there's a lot of older retirees living there, so I've decided not to pursue moving there after all, so thank you for the honest review of Montenegro.
I'll be he Europe in October and will be there for a while checking out Hungary Budapest, Split Croatia and Ljubljana Slovenia, which are the top 3 places out of 10 country's I've looked at and have decided to check out in Europe personally and see if it's going to be a good fit for our modern day blended family.
One love brother and peace out.

Ethiopian here, born and raised in Norway, but I've lived all over-Berlin, Barcelona, London, Stockholm, New York. These days, I split my time between London, Nairobi, and Kigali. As a Black person who’s fully assimilated into a homogenous country like Norway but has lived around the world, I’ve got a pretty deep understanding of what it means to be of African descent in Europe. Trust me, there are some countries you should steer clear of, especially if you’ve got a Southeast Asian wife.
Avoid Italy, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Poland, and Russia at all costs. And even though Germany has a strong economy, the racism there is intense-almost on par with the Balkans. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor; anti-Blackness runs deep in European culture.
That said, the UK and Ireland are much better options, especially in diverse cities like London, where you’ll face less daily and institutional racism. Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) is also worth considering-Norway’s a good bet if you’ve got the income. English is widely spoken, and racism is less severe compared to other European countries. Plus, there’s a solid, well-assimilated Vietnamese community in Norway and Sweden, which could be great for your wife and kids.
Brussels is another option, though taxes are high, and you’ll need some French or Dutch. Paris is cool too, but you need to speak French. The racism there is lower because of the large Black population from Francophone Africa.
But honestly, if you’ve got USD income or a retirement fund, Nairobi, Kenya is the way to go. Africa’s booming, and you’ll finally get to experience life as just a human being, not a color. The last place any Black person should live is in the Balkans

Thanks for the heads up bro and much respect, but one thing I've come to understand as a Caribbean born who was raised in America and lived in suburbs of Orange County California, which is mostly a white community but is slowly becoming more integrated as time goes by to now living in Asia, but before I had embarking on my journey I was told by some of my family members that those people don't want me in their country and I would be look at stereotypically and judged base upon the color of my skin, well I took a leap of faith proved them wrong and broke the perception of what they thought.
Also I wouldn't lie and say that some locals didn't stare at me especially when I first moved to Vietnam 7yrs ago, especially when I traveled into the countrysides, but overall I didn't feel any hatred an instead I was welcomed with curiosity, reason being, because of my grandmother who once told when I was a boy (never allow my skin color to hold me back from achieving my goals because in the end people will still judge you anyway).
My Italian buddy always joke and say I project a personality that anyone can relate to despite ethnicity, which means I can live anywhere in the world and people will accept me for who I am and wouldn't care one way or the other.
Meaning that I've never showed up in life as a black man, but as me.
I'm also not the stereotypical looking black guy that social media projects / Hollywood movies, aka the pookie or the Rae Ray as we say in America, I've got my own fashionable style and I don't try to look like anyone else but myself.
I've always dated and married outside of my ethnicity group and I even have biracial kids from my first marriage, I was also engaged to marry a German Irish woman, but we never made it to the altar, here in Asia I've dated many very wealthy Asian women before meeting my wife and the only surprising thing common to all of those women is they never thought of colour and just saw me for who I was and that even goes for my non black friends.
Since I've been living here in Asia, I've been asked by many other black foreigners whom I crossed paths with, if I've gotten any racist tension or racist stares and my replies to all was no.
But one thing for sure I've gotten more racist looks from white men in Asia, which I've never got when I lived in America, but I got here in Asia especially when they see me with my wife and step daughter, I guess it's because my wife and I are age appropriate, we both compliment each other in height because she's a tall and beautiful Vietnamese woman, my stepdaughter is also very tall for 11yrs old and we all look good together, unlike the typical older white guy who dates local old enough to be his granddaughter, or the broke looking backpacker / awkward looking white dude who cannot find a woman back in America so he comes to Asia under the perception that he's white and rich 🤣
Overall bro, I do know that racism exists out there and there's a possibility I may encounter it, but I'm traveling to going looking for it and for the most part, can careless what others think, because at the of the day I always take God with me wherever I go in this world and I show up as me first not a colour, as for those people who see colour first, all I can is hello my name is Ronnie, what's yours and nice to meet you.
One love and much respect again once fist bump 👊😎

I don’t think they have a problem with the tourists as a visitor of any skin color or ethnicity but they have a problem with dating the women of their country because they want to keep a homogeneous society and race and don’t want to be mixed. That’s the mentality in the Balkan and Eastern Europe especially.

Montenegro overall is nice, especially budva, not for the prices though. I do think, people have a closed mindset there. Balkans can be rude and that can be perceived as racist, when they are not. I remember the immigration on the way out, were throwing back passport to people with no smile nothing. If they need to attract tourists, they need good roads, rail, and of course a better airport, it’s just a small country after all

Please don't be offended my friend. The girls didn't mean anything bad, and let alone racist. That's the way they talk and joke to men, that's the Podgorica mentality, girls from there are very specific, and very very complicated. They would've said to me the same things and I am Serb from Montenegro. This is how they talk to men, simple as that. Please don't take it the wrong way. In regards to the conductor at the train he is more of a "curious in a primitive way" type of a guy and not a racist. That's just part of the Balkan mentlaity, people can be blunt in a very uncomfortable way, but they are genuine, sincere and very friendly. I am not saying that because I am from there but people od Serbia and Montenegro are probably the least racist people in the world, honestly, everyone can confirm that. I can tell you that 98 or 99% of people there will be very friendly and open, but they'll have that Balkan mentality which is very blunt and full-on kind of thing!!! Don't take it the wrong way please and enjoy the rest of your stay in Montenegro, and try to visit the Serbian Othodox Monastery of Ostrog, you'll love it. Enjoy your stay my friend :-)
