I've been messing with this as a low height balance build. 3-60 TP and it's absolutely amazing. The balls in the blade make it act like a dead blow hammer where it dishes out a heavy impact while mitigating recoil, and at a lower height, the slope of the blade actually does great with hitting under opposing blades
I don't really think flat launching defense works in X... Whenever I do testings, my defense-types lose nearly 100% of the time when I launch at level. When I tilt tho, they get hit from above and tank almost every hit flawlessly... That's going against stuff like Phoenix on Point
@@Lavie_Azure I don’t tilt my wolf or rod builds and they do fine. Tilting defense is fine as long as you don’t get hit on the backside in which case your screwed
@ yeah I mean I’m usually trying to optimize what I can so if I have to launch something at a steep angle sacrificing stability in the hopes it doesn’t get kod or burst I’d rather just drop the height and use something else.
Definitely a 50/50 kind of thing man honestly. You risk being bursted for the sake of being lucky enough to protect your ratchet on every hit. And knowing the Beyblade X system, that luck won’t always be there for you.
Depends on your blade really. KM and LCr in def combos should be slightly tilted (around 20-30 deg) to optimize the tanking potential and preventing scraping, their weakness. But for this you need to run -60 ratchets. Blades like Shinobi and Knight shield can be tilted further.
Tbf, Knight Shield was actually good during the early day, since it's literally Twisted Tempo lite, lite isn't inherently bad, but it was good for what it is, just the stock is what holding it back.
Tilting only works if your opponent doesn’t hit your backside in which case your screwed. I prefer low height tanky defense. The whole tilting thing is just something that’s been used for tall builds on needle bits which has largely been outclassed by low height builds on things like hexa.
I wonder when theyre gonna make the rachet qc better. To many of the white teeth that clicks on the bit when you spin it are depressed brand new and make any bit spin like FB

Bound spike being abbreviated as bs is funny
I honestly think Wizard Rod is more deserving if that abbreviation. It's just too dang good!
@@R-Blazer Bizard Srod
Fun fact, Black Shell also can be abbreviated as such, therefore you can run a legit def build with BS 1-60 BS
According to the wiki, BlackShell's official abbreviation is BlSh, which isn't much better
BlSh 1-60 BS 😅
@@lloydfs5114 dang they really did the turtle dirty lol
A combo off the top of my head that might be good is Knight Mail 7-70/7-60 Trans Point/Level
mail has potencial thats for sure, i want to see the defensive combos for it.
It's best if you launch the defense types in an angle as that makes it less prone to bursting and allows it to hold its ground against attack.
@@Grand-Master_Owl this works as long as the opponent doesn’t hit your backside otherwise your screwed
@nizumablader 50/50 in other words, but you're right
@@nizumablader Well it's either you risk the 50/50 or lose 80% of the time because needle has little friction with the stadium, it's built to tilt
@ I don’t use needle
makes sense
I've heard that 1-60 R is potentially good on KM. I liked Knight Shield on 5-60 R a lot so I'm interested to see if this combo has potential
As someone interesting in toy design these new beyblades have been super exciting.
Absolutely can not wait for what's to come.
What I want to know is when is the US actually going to get 2/3 of these newer releases. Maybe it's just not making it to my part of the country..
I feel like Mail on 3-60R would be really good for Anti Attack.
Mainly because perseus was also good for that purpose iirc.
So we finally got the first bouncy boi. I dig it.
The 0nly very effective with rubber accel bit is shark edge 2-70 RA
could you maybe try bound spike on a left spin bey? something like how youd have absorb or the nothing driver on left spinners in burst?
@@SkeleSama good idea!
I've been hearing things about 3-85 causing damage to the blade around the ratchet hooks, have you heard anything about that?
I have heard that, haven’t noticed it myself yet but I am keeping an eye on it.
imagine Rod on 85

does anyone really know why the 85 ratchet has a different style mechanism? I'm still tryna figure that out lol

Wa gave Ball and the blade was ok
How big is the blade compared to other blades? Is it bigger than Horn Rhino and Hammer Incendio?
@@KeeganMcKinney bigger than rhino yeah not sure compared to hammer
Bound Spike sucks entirely. It wobbles sideways continuously, and acts more offensive than defensive
That ratchet can quite easily make any bey unusable, Idk what they were thinking
it keep bursting
Seems like taller ratchets just are never good, I hope they can make them useful cause at this point they’re just dumpster filler
this is so not true

Phoenix Wing 3-60H
Silver Wolf 5-60B

I cant even begin to wrap my brain around why youd ever want to have a taller bey when the whole point of the blade is to absorb impacts.
tilt
