No, the chicken releases its own juices during pressure canning (raw chicken, different when using a hot pack, cooked chicken) I save the juice when I open a jar and put in the freezer for another use. Thank you Patricia!
HELP PLEASE--i live in an off grid cabin that is heated and cooled but temperature inside ranges from 40 in the winter to 80 in summer. How can I keep my jars sealed?? I noticed some popped during the temp or pressure changes...
Demi, the temps you mentioned are very similar to many households. If there was popping, it could be they were not sealed properly? We try at best to keep our canned goods 50-70 and haven’t had problems (and our pantry did make it to 80’s). I feel like I may not be the best one to have those answers. Try Leisa from SuttonsDaze. She may know.
Every year Superior Meats in Superior Wisconsin has a great sale with premium chicken breast. It is normally a one day sale and they sell out fast. My friend and I were one of 15 in line 30 minutes before they open.
