Very interesting. My father worked in music hall as a song-and-dance man and was a member of the London Hippodrome theatre company in the 1930s. It's a big regret of mine that he died before I was old enough to appreciate his work on the stage, although I know he worked with Arthur Askey, Gracie Fields, and Jack Buchanan. Whenever he was waiting to take us kids out somewhere (he was always ready to leave before we were), he would stand at the door and go through his old dance steps.

I came across Wilson & Keppel in a feature film here on YT. At least they made it to the big screen!

Fantastic post - thank you. Compare these artists to the pampered and mainly talentless prima donnas of the modern pop and so-called celebrity worlds.

all that orchestrated sound, coordinated movement, and boundless talent... Not the product of syncopated A.I.! To young folks today, that might seem unbelievable, but raw talent was once enjoyed before it became duplicated, scripted, manufactured, bottled and bombarded on you by marketers. Those were the days.

more Max Miller please !and less Bruce Springston - who's one example of an over-rated " genius" who's annoying and can't sing - Whatever happened to real talents Like Max Miller ? - Now we're all supposed to like mediocre performers like Michael Jackson or really lousy ones like Brittany Spears - No one covers a single song by anyone today cause almost no one can write even a mediocre one !
