Transformation of a BMW R90 S by Sebastien Beaupere.
I don't know if this bike should be considered a Cafe Racer, or a custom build. But that is only a detail.
What is important, is that this beautiful BMW has an impressive presence, which deserves be admired.

I think it would benefit of not so fat tires after these years, feel old in the ”game” of custom with these tires. Still a unique build. Thanks for showing it again. 🎉
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. To be honest, I think these fat tires are essential for this project. The huge fuel tank matches the tires perfectly. Otherwise, it would be like an elephant with a horse's legs. Loool. :) Cheers.
@@RACER_TV maybe, or the this beautiful fuel tank would hold its own and look really powerful. I have seen these big tanks on other builds that also look really good. Atleast a thinner front tire would be pleasing for the eye.

@@RACER_TV Definately up there with the best in the looks dept. I used to think it sacrilage if anyone tore up a r80 or r100rt and changed it into a cafe racer. I actually think the boxer in touring form is stunninrg.For a long, long, time I disliked many Bmw cafe racers .This is the exception, thank you for sharing and beautiful music.
i like the bikes you choose to showcase in general, but this is one of my favorite bikes on your channel. It's so different from most builds out there. Painfully beautiful and unique.

Since I found this channel I've been watching it almost compulsively... thing is that when I saw your last upload I was about to make some kind of critics, more like a proposal (I don't like the word critics), but suddenly I realised that after all this time, all this great machines, music, editing and passion shared... I wasn't even subscribed!!!! oh my god, I felt bad, my first direct contact would be a non full positive comment, after so much joy!!, felt almost as if I where disappointing a good friend. So, I had subscribed then looked one of my favorites builds/video and totally forgot what was my non fully positive message. Voz gerada ou não por computador, não muda sua arte. Nunca vi ninguém saindo por aí dizendo assim: "Que pincel Leonardo usou no quadro da Mona?" O resultado da arte é que importa! Okay - for one, this is not a video. There's no drive by, no start up, no rolling image. Another point, this constant use of "anonymous" style of narration isn't helping. Yes, it's a gorgeous image of a motorcycle, but. .. that's all it is, an image. Give us a little more, savvy?

I've been riding for 60 years and I've owned one of the original and first R90-S and this is bullshit, making a marvellous bike into a hipster contraption that is unusable...
That is just beautiful....BTW my dad in law is wanting to build one!!! :D cause he can't get his Honda fixed due to the insurance's bullshit not wanting to cover anything when some other guy's went onto his lane and hit him.
Sometimes there are bad situations that originate very good things.Maybe this problem with the insurance Company, will bring an even better bike to your Dad in law, and with time, he will be glad for having this acident with the honda. Lol. Thanks for sharing your comment.

Great bike. Airhead Beemers are one of the most difficult bikes to custimize to a lust for the eye. Its boxer concept demands a different approach, slim lines are out of the question and trying to make it sexy is a lost deal. The bull approach (how much fat German can you have) is gold.
Ok you show us a bunch of still pics so why no bike running on video? So disappointed .

I think this Heinrich Large Capacity Gas Tank was used in several BMW models, like the R69S, R60/2, R50/2. I saw one of these tanks on ebay for 2700 dollars.It is rare, but is possible to buy one.It is also possible to buy a reproduction for 370 Pounds on ebay.

The front forks seem to be from a vintage HARLEY DAVIDSON.They are known by the name of girder forks.

Hi. The front is a high quality reproduction springer fork for a Harley. They are aviable from W&W cycles in Germany. I was really lucky and came across a R-50 With an R75 engine. It has a modefied Heinrich tank (The same tank as on the video, buth with notches for Clip ons, and an aluminium lid on top) As a bonus it also has a grimeca big sice 4ls racing brake from a Yamaha 350 racer. Engine and brake is noted in the reg. papers. And yes I also has the front fork in my workshop. Lucky Me :-)

I had a 1976 R90/S. Good reliable bike except didn't charge. Got the same problem with the 76 Guzzi I now have owned a few years. Charges at top low a rate. The BMW was so high geared I would be going 80+ if I didn't pay close attention. The Guzzi is not quite so high geared and it's not a big problem. I have heard that BMW dealers do not treat customers and owners of older BMW's very well.
No BMW has ever run around with "gallons" - it's a product of mm and liters - not any kauderwelsch of thumps, feets and elbows

Darth Vader huh? Very sweet build. I believe, however, that Vader would probably ride something a little more cutting edge, and capable of a lot more than a vintage bike... Probably something like a black BMW s1000rr.

Asen Vukadinov Well, it seems that you were "hypnotized" by the images of the bike during the video. :)The frame is from a Bmw R50. You can check this in the minute 1:33 on the video.I think is easier to start your project with a complete Bmw R50.But the R50 frame, was shared with other Bmw models such as these:R50, R51/3, R51 S, R60, R67, R67/2, R67/3, R69.I think your project can work with every one of these models.Try Ebay, and i think you will find something.Good luck.
