    The escape velocity equation is derived from an energy balance equation between kinetic energy and gravitational potential energy, but the kinetic energy of a mass traveling at the speed of light isn't 0.5×mass of the object×(299,792,458 m/s)^2 or approximately 9×10^16 J/kg. The KE is infinite. It's Newtonian physics that says the object's KE is proportional to the square of the velocity always, even at the speed of light.

      That's true. What we're seeing right here is only a coincidence. The actual derivation of the Schwarzschild radius equation takes into account Einstein's general relativity. Somehow, though, we can derive this very same equation using Newtons mechanics. That's quite a nice coincidence.

    Suppose an object thrown in such velocity it it would escape. In its journey when the object moves,the gravity of earth tries to stop but it donot stop,so when its is outside earth,The velocity of the object with which it is on earth is always greater than the velocity it is moving in vaccum. That means the velocity of the object has kind of slowed finally. So when light tries to escape from the radius little bit greater than Swarchild Radius then light should also face the slowing of velocity. But Relativity says light can never move less than 'c' WHY?

      That's s good question....To understand that You should check out video of PBS space time about the speed of light.Well the speed of light is actually not the speed of light but is the speed of causality. Interesting and kind of stupid but True .....

    When light can not escape from a black hole, now there must be a force preventing this light for escaping.
    Light has waves between two "poles", between + and -, between male and female.
    When black holes are known as singular presences, there is NO bipolar impact.
    Now there is only one sided attraction and contraction from all around, which is present inside relativtity.
    How is this singular impact named? Is this singular electricity or is it singular gravitation?
    It is just a name!!
    Moreover by this view electricity and "gravitation" are related, by alignment and by entanglement also.
    A flat universe of no-waves and moving waves of points inside of it is the result.

    some argue that Newtonian escape speed pertains to Euclidean space, while black holes pertain to Einstein's space-time geometry. If that is the case, then establishing the radius 'R' where forces are invoked as the same radius of an object in space-time geometry, where there are no forces, would be invalid.

    is contradiction to say the escape velocity is the speed of light and then say light cannot escape! its having and not-having at the same time

      True, but that would be the boundary between escaping and not escaping. We look for limits all the time in physics.

    sir, we r considering c to be escape velocity of black hole but what if it has greater escape velocity.

      The Schwarzschild radius is the distance from a black hole where the escape velocity = c. One way to think about is this: Inside this radius, the escape velocity > c, and outside it the escape velocity < c. When people refer to the "size" of a black hole, they usually mean the Schwarzschild radius. Here's the wikipedia link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwarzschild_radius

      @@yoprofmatt The Schwarzschild radius is a consequence of Einstein's General Relativity, black holes too. A photon doesnot not follow Newton's mechanics, it doesn't have mass(m=0) so it doesn't have kinetic energy and potential energy so your escape speed equation cannot be applied to photons.Your results are a coincidence.

      @@robbert1978 Photons do carry energy, they're the physical result of an exchange in energy between 2 objects (example electron against a proton). In fact you can't move anything without kinetic energy

    This does not make sense. Just because an object doesn't have escape velocity doesn't mean it can't escape. Take a rocket ship to the moon, for example.
