    I can't speak highly enough about the Quest X10 pro... it's FANTASTIC value for what you get. It's tough/rugged and easy to use. Battery life is superb also. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a beginner looking to get into detecting.

      Absolutely!
      They are all amazing machines in all honesty, I was just intrigued as to how a depth test would fair on progressively smaller targets.

      Iv had loads of stuff of stuff with x10 pro deeper than that

      So have I, I love the machine and it was in no way a dig at the machine.
      I was just intrigued between the comparisons.
      I don't know if it was the rain, the wind or the mineralisation, but for some reason it really struggled with the deeper, smaller targets that day.
      Still a great machine!!

    Just goes to show, as I’ve always said, these machines are in the budget range but will find you 98%+ of what machines costing ten times as much find. It’s about the operator and how they react to the signal(s) the machine gives you. Forget the PR hype the manufacturers give you to take your money, it’s a tool, they all operate on the same type of system. It’s like driving 500 miles in a cheap and a stupidly expensive car: they will both get you there 😁👍

      Most definitely buddy!!
      I'll test the minelab X Terra Pro and the Equinox 800 next as I know it will be very interesting!!

    I had the original x10 (non pro) i still think its one lf the best coin hunters ive used just got the new generation x10 idmaxx its very similar but the reaction speed doesn’t seem as snappy also its a noisy machine the first time i used it i found a 1876 canadian large cent and from what i understand there hard to find even in canada

      Just over £300 new, not bad really and you can definitely get them for £200 used!
      Short of the sound cancelling (which is great by the way) it's a great machine on a budget!

    Interesting! Do you think the Q30+ would benefit upgrading to a Detech ultimate coil or Mars coil to stop the constant chatter? I've just bought a used q30 and drove me crazy, although only been out with it once. Air test shows reasonable depth with sensitivity at about 90 but loses about 3 inches turned down to 45 ish, where I found less chatter on the field at this number but knowing I'm not reaching the deeper targets.

    • @bigfootfinding7019
      @bigfootfinding7019  9 месяцев назад

      It's a really tough area isn't it!
      I went to some fields, especially where they had electrical wires overhead and it was pretty unbearable.
      Quest do have an upgraded coil, but I haven't heard anything about any reduction in chatter!
      It would certainly be worth a shot, but to be honest I can't see it making a huge improvement.
      That's where minelab have the upper hand, as they have better technology inside and the sound cancel is pretty incredible!
      If you decide to go for it, please let me know how it turns out as I'd love to upgrade the coil on mine!
      It's a great machine, with great depth and signal quality.
      But the chatter really can be infuriating at times, especially around electricity and stubble

      @@bigfootfinding7019 Thanks for quick reply, yeah I was hoping you could buy the upgraded coil and let me know doing a youtube vid👍😀. No, I will have to think about if its worth upgraded to the Ultimate 13" coil or not. I will give it another go as it is first. Thanks again👍👍

      @RetroMods hahaha, I will see if my local shop can get one in for me to test, or failing that contact them directly pleading our case and see if they had one I could pinch 😄
      I'll try and keep you posted buddy, but unfortunately RUclips pays me literal pennies and after the cost of my screen replacement I am skint, but I promise, I'll give it my all!

      @@bigfootfinding7019 Top man👍😀. I'm sure you can sort it with a promise to give the shop a plug. Like you said, the tones are great and that depth test you just did has convinced me to persevere, but I want that stability. Anyway, good luck and I look forward to hearing any news on the coil👍

    I had all 3. the X Terra pro was the best. And I like the X10 Solid the Q30 there’s better detectors for that price. I coin hunt only in the USA

      As I stated, the X Terra has so many pros to it, it was just down to the depth this time around!

    What settings help you the most on q30?

    • @bigfootfinding7019
      @bigfootfinding7019  7 месяцев назад

      I always ground balance each change in terrain, or if it gets a little too noisy, start with park and then go over in field and make sure the sensitivity is as high as you can go without too much noise.
      That's about it, just make sure you brush down low and nice and slow, gentle sweeps and no thrashing 😃
      I hope that helps!

    • @bigfootfinding7019
      @bigfootfinding7019  7 месяцев назад

      If you find yourself digging a lot of iron, notch out the first 2 notches and make sure you circle a target, and try and only dig the targets that don't jump around too much!
      Most importantly, have fun and learn from the bad targets.
      Sometimes you get iron that frequently break these rules (big iron especially), but learn from them, if you dig 3 at a certain number, try to differentiate them from the other targets!

    Don't forget that the Q30 and Xterra have larger coils than the X10 pro.

      Most definitely,
      I should have mentioned that!!
      Another member had purchased a larger coil for the x10 pro, so really looking forward to their update!!

    • @davidnraychel1508
      @davidnraychel1508 7 месяцев назад +1

      The width of the coil drastically influences the depth on DD coils so the wider coil (one that has similar ratios to the others) would be a better comparison
