  • Hi everyone, in this video, we visit one of my favorite fishing spots in the world. Welcome to Iceland! Looking back on 15 years of visiting the world’s most sustainable fishing communities, Iceland has been a frequent destination of mine. This country has perhaps the highest number of MSC-certified fisheries in the world. In this video, I take you to Patreksfjörður, the northwest of the island and a 5-hour drive from the capital Reykjavik. I will meet Thorsteinn, the captain of the boat who is fishing for delicious cod, and we will also see the process behind the catch.
If you want to see another fun video of Thorsteinn and me in which I eat one of my worst fish meals ever, click here: • The Worst Dish I've Ev...
I hope you enjoyed this video and support these amazing sustainable fisheries around the globe.
This video was taken before the pandemic.

That was excellent Bart, i now know how my Icelandic cod/ Haddock that comes frozen in fillets shows up in my supermarket. Its fresh and delicious when thawed. From Alberta Canada.

Strange why our Canadian fishery is so mismanaged and under utilized

I have been buying it frozen here in France, then steam in my bamboo cooker, but its super salty and the instructions are to add salt which I never do, its a delicious fish, new to me being born in Australia,
    Thanks an interesting video!

It's good to know somebody pronounces the T in filets, That's respectable.

Hej Bart! Waarom is dit een duurzame manier van vissen? Wat is de bijvangst en wat gebeurt daarmee? Gewoon nieuwsgierig. Wij genieten regelmatig van je gerookte zalm en tonijn in blik.
