It's a late summer night.
You and you're friends are enjoying some cold ones in the open garage.
You all reminisce about some great high school memories you shared together.
More beers get tossed around aswell as laughter.
College is knocking on the door and summer is about to end.
Knowing each of your mates will take a different path in this adventure it's nice to be together for perhaps the last time.
Its starting to rain a bit outside.
You get your guitar and start playing some notes which eventually lead up to a little song, nothing much.
Surprisingly your friends join in, like the old garage band you use to share with them.
The song starts to sound like something you all practiced countless times before.
The strings reverb a summer vibe which everyone seems to enjoy.
As the tune you're all playing together get's more intense your old man walks in with his violin and joins for a bit . Not too long, but long enough to make it sound strong for a little while.
The song takes it back and starts calming down as you're old man leaves to room again. "Off for a smoke" he whispers as you continue your tune.
The melody starts coming to an end, you walk outside and glance at the stars.
Rain droplets fall onto you and your friends,a tear falls down your eye onto the ground.
"Perhaps the crying and the rain will make a little City of tears underground."
You all have a final laughter as everybody calls it a day.

I was instantly invested in Hollow Knight the moment I stepped in Dirt Mouth, but the moment I got to the City of Tears, it only solidified that investment by 10 fold. Amazing remix, dude! God I'm getting that familiar feeling of wonder and excitement from the first time around playing the game.

I'm getting absurdly strong Outer Wilds vibes from this (especially the beginning), and hopefully anyone that's played that game knows how colossal of a compliment that is. This is great work, I'm glad I found you.
Ooh noo, I can't fully appreciate your comment because I still need to play Outer Wilds (a bad mistake I intend to fix this year hopefully!). I heard great things about this game, even if I was not influenced by it in the making of this remix ;)

Reminds me of that one time me and my two best friends hung out on one their roofs and shared a couple of sodas.
It was about 2 years ago when we had known each other for a year or two. We were hanging and talking about our common interests, like favorite games, favorite Pokémon, hobbies, etc. We all shared almost the same interests, but in our own different way (if that makes sense).
Then, I brought up how all of our personalities bounce off one another perfectly.
I was, and still am, hot-headed and and to a point, but always mean good.
One of my two best friends is smart and calculated, to an extent, and knows how figure out steps towards a goal.
The last one is always there to bring a good time and makes life not so difficult and/or grey while also being the most chill out of all three of us.
They agreed with me and we all promised to have the others back, no matter how bad it is or how old we get.
And we’ve stuck together and been friends still to this day.
I’ll never forget that night.
I swear good stuff like this needs to be recognized!

The moment I stepped into City of Tears, that’s was when I fell in love with this amazing game. This has a nostalgic feel to it, and brings back that amazing memory.

Thank You! I didn't make a mantis lords remix yet because I don't have any specific idea on the genre or style to use to be original enough.. I don't know, maybe in the future. Anyway, new hollow knight remixes are coming (sooner or later)

0:11 the capitol of hallownest is thriving, the streets crowded with bugs, and packed with beautiful buildings. All is good.
1:11 bugs start to notice the infection spreading, a strange orange glow in the eyes of their loved ones. The rain falls harder, and the bugs that were once crowded on the streets are declining. Hallownest is shocked
1:44 the city streets are starting to get deserted, bugs are fleeing in sadness thinking of the beautiful city, before the infection that they must leave behind. the city starts to become quiet.
2:15 everyone is afraid as the infection rages, taking over the unfortunate bugs left in the city, hallownest is falling downhill, and everyone is stressed.
2:46 the infections takes over most of hallownest, and the kingdom slowly fades away.
This song makes me really happy.

If you want to learn the solo parts all I remember is that I mainly improvised using the D & G strings (the 2 central strings) going from like 3rd to 12th fret. Hope it helps!
