Brother don’t be used by the enemy, the devil. Be used by the Holy Spirit instead and come to Jesus.
You see what you don’t realize is the devil using you by your love of foul language to trip somebody up. The Bible shows that there’s death and life in the tongue and your cussing is only going to bring death.
What the enemy wants to do is cause someone to fall back in their ways of using foul language. Maybe someone here has struggled with cussing and here you are bringing those very words they’re trying to steer away from.
Don’t let the devil use you because he is. And I don’t mean you’re demon possessed or anything like that. But don’t get it twisted. The devil will use those who are not children of God, a child in Christ Jesus to deceive and get his way.
You say it’s all in good fun and you mean no harm, but words are powerful and harmful if speaking deathly things. Things that are not fruitful.
Don’t enjoy the fruit of the devil.
There’s nothing joyful about foul language. In fact it’s ugly.
I know because I myself have been cussing since second grade and am near 40. Once I was saved by the blood of Jesus and came in to repentance of my sin, confessed and called Him Lord that changed. I have struggled and still to this day, but making progress.
The change was instant though. Not to stop cussing or struggle with it, but to hear the ugliness of it. To feel conviction of any sin I commit and to feel the Holy Spirit within me get offended. I don’t even like to hear myself cuss when I slip up. It hurts my soul.
Don’t give power to the enemy, or enjoy his ways.
It’s foolish and dangerous for your soul.
I ask the Father and the Holy Spirit to touch your life and intercede so that you may come to the repentance of your old ways and know who Christ is. I ask that if joy today, if not tomorrow, some way some how God pulls you in to Him and you become saved. Just like he chased me down for years, He is chasing you. Trust and believe He has done wondrous things in your life and you might not have recognized it. If you think real hard about some tough times you’ve experienced, you’ll begin to notice when He was there all along.
I ask to rebuke this foul language and allowing the enemy to use you for his purposes in Jesus name.
I wish you well brother and can only hope you turn from this behavior and way of living.
You may have meant it in good fun, but I’d like to think right now you realize it’s harmful and nothing good can come out of it.
