- 3 cups all poupose flour
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 sticks of butter unsalted
1/2 cup blackberries blend well
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
Icing
1 3/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup powder sugar
2 cups of blackberries for between the layers
simple syrup
3 teaspoon blackberry preserves
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
bake on 350 for 30 to 35 minutes

Good thing this is a large cake because I don't see this lasting very long! Too good for words - The gas oven and range is what I have in this apartment and it's a slow cooking gas oven. A slow cooking oven, I like. Got used to them from all the old gas on gas apartments where the heat came from the side of the stove!
