Everytime I interlinked party memebers I couldn't get out of my head sharlas phrase from xenoblade 1 and kept thinking " MY OUROBOROS IS GETTING HOTTER"
I always was confused why mio had evasion skills in the form that can't take damage, but since taking 'damage' increases heat it makes sense (and in hindsight there is a cutscene revealing as much)
That maybe true but how much heat is generated from taking damage? I have had to let my Ouroboros take a lot of damage and still don't notice a diffrence.
@@Redpoppy80 I feel like the damage taken is related to how much overheat you gain. Lanz gets a lot when he tanks but if it's trash mobs he doesn't take as much.
I wish chain attacking with all 3 ouroboros forms active at level 3 would give a bonus. Like the chain attack would have 6 ouroboros orders instead of 2
i thought lvl 3 interlink with all characters was gonna work in chain attack too but i guess it's too broken in a sense that we're only limited to 2 Ouroboros orders
It’s such a shame we don’t get an Ouroboros for my main man Mwamba. He would’ve simply fused with himself so he could cancel his Talent Art into itself, and it would’ve been AWESOME. In other words, todays Mwamba No. 5 of asking for a sharpshooter guide.
The devs probably didn't go through with it since the game's engine wouldn't let him cancel the interlink (with himself) and he'd gain flight during ch1 which would spoil locations for the players 😮💨
His talent art would have been been Ultimate Mwambulation, it would make him say “It’s mwambing time!” and make him mwamb all over the enemies, dealing one mwambillion damage.
I found this cool strategy super early game (when you get the agnus forms), that you can combo switching characters and using arts to build up the special gauge super fast. You would go Art -> Switch -> Art -> Switch -> Special. I could easily pump out 2-3 specials from a single fusion at Interlink 0, The best combo I found was spamming switches to Lanz's Break-Topple-Launch Special, then canceling the interlink into an already built up Smash Special.
For some of y'all watching this that haven't finished the game yet, don't discount Level 0 Ouroboros transformations. In particular, on Hard mode one of my classic strategies for eliminating large swaths of weak enemies was to immediately go into Noah's form at the beginning of the fight and spam Dragon Tail and Bounding End (both of which are AoE moves) until the heat gauge was super high then use the Mega Spinning Edge talent art which is capable of being activated even at Level 0 because both Dragon Tail and Bounding End are wicked fast arts. This combination basically toasts all normal enemies (aka not Uniques or Elites), and I've even killed like 7 dudes at once using this, allowing me to take on some really difficult quests rather early because I'd kill all the low level mooks so that I could focus on the big boss. An improvement might be exchanging one of the arts with Glorious Wing, but if you did that you might have to take off Bounding End because it's the slower of the two arts, which can be problematic as it's the art with the better AoE (Dragon Tail seems like a forward cone type but Bounding End seems to be akin to a circle so it's easier to hit all the enemies when using Bounding End rather than Dragon Tail). Later in the game this probably won't be an issue though, because after obtaining all the heat reductions on Noah's tree (didn't need to borrow any of Mio's) I am easily able to get Mega Spinning Edge up using only half of the heat gauge (provided the enemies don't block me). Finally, Enel mentioned that he couldn't get two uses of his talent gauge on Hard mode at Level 3, but you might actually be able to get it if you change out Rolling Smash for Dragon Tail and use Dragon Tail instead of Phantom Slash once the enemy is broken because Dragon Tail is a much faster art (I noticed Enel was really close so I think this might be able to make up the difference).
I prefer to use Eunie for this. Yeah, she does less damage than Noah, but the fact that one of her AOEs also heals makes up for it. (Then again, I'm playing on Normal, so Noah's extra damage might not be necessary.)
@@brianlinden3042 That can work too, but on Hard her arts are just too slow for most of the game. Because heat gauge buildup is faster on Hard, you'll really struggle to hit the talent art before the Level 0 interlink expires. Also, on Hard Noah doesn't actually have much damage to spare either, so earlier in the game, even if you get the talent art, you'll probably thin the enemy ranks much less. Later in the game though, the heat issue is mostly resolved (though enemy blocking can still screw you over), and the signifer buffs along with one of Eunie's skills might make her do higher damage than Noah in certain situations (however, just note that at the beginning of the fight, you won't have as many buffs)... This brings me to another point though, if the Noah interlink fails to kill everything and there's a bunch of low hp enemies around, you can go straight into Eunie's form (which hopefully might be Level 1 at this point, especially if you've got bond crystals equipped). At this later point in the fight I also find the healing more impactful, the signifer buffs have a bit more time to build up, and the heat gauge will go down significantly slower, leading me to favor Eunie's form as an excellent second option.
@@maxechilsemptyspace7184 A strat I used for pretty much every mob encounter is using raptor raid, switching to taion, and then using atomize and switching back to eunie and repeating. Both arts are really quick and switching cancels all recovery frames so you can rack up talent arts quickly before you even unlock arts cancelling
I love how just like X, Ouroboros are kitted out as being some super powerful form for the harder fights but with optimizations the ground kit ends up being better. Skells still have their uses just like ouroboros, but yeah, Signifier Troubador Soulhacker Ogre is almost as mematic as Ether blossom dance.
At the very least this time the optimizations that completely obsolete Ouroboros are actually post game and not "go mastermind to get Core Crusher, get some appendage damage equipment, go FMj to get Ghost Walker, congratulations you can now fight everything that isnt flying and unreachable on foot better than a Skell ever could"
Technically skell kits were better against 99% of enemies if your goal was to win fast since zenith cannon can legit one shot everything except gradivus but ground was better for RP online stuff. Skell stuff was way less fun though
@@EnelXC don't forget that a good overdrive party could make every fight in the game a joke and make the skells go from super strong mechs to unoptimized beginner strats.
I run Dragon Tail and Bounding End on Noah's Ouroboros to clear trash mobs, their AOE can hit large groups of enemies and lets you kill them at Level 0 easily, coupled with his Ouroboros Talent Art. Very nice when you're clearing tons of sidequests or just the story when you've got combat areas you *have* to clear to progress.
I wish that the Ouroboros arts had a "speed" stat so we could see how fast the arts are in the menu. Atomize, for example, has a really quick cancel window, so it's really useful for building up talent gauge. And for Noah I found that cancelling Dragon Tail and Rolling Smash into each other could build gauge really fast - I could get two talent arts out at level 2, or a Unison Strike and a Talent Art at level 0.
Something I don't believe was mentioned in this video, Eunie's ouroboros has an art which will revive *every party member* instantly, except it ends your ouroboros immediately. It is INCREDIBLE for recovery and it might not save you a lot, but when it works, it works great. I believe it's called Judgment Wing but don't @ me on that one.
Liberty wing. It also grabs ALL of the aggro, so she basically eats crap right after. Decreases in usefulness exponentially once you hit post game and get the hero that can revive Allies as a chain order
It's a great option for early game when reviving is slower and healing options are sparse, and it's a nice way to recover from a healer wipe if they get instakilled by some AoE, provided your healers aren't Eunie or Taion.
The best part about Noah’s Oroboros is getting off multiple origin blades in a single transformation. Considering you have it to start if you have lucky 7 unsheathed instead of having to wait till high heat. I found running some of the quicker arts on Noah like Dragon Tail and running heat reduction skills from Mio made it just possible for me to do it on hard mode because of how long the skill takes to go off.
Something Mio's Ouroboros form can be very useful for is fighting groups of enemies. You can grab aggro with her AOE target lock art and then evading attacks will increase the damage you deal. Using her evasion art will help build your damage faster.
I find it very funny how Troubadour's fast recharge field effect effects the Ouroboros talent art recharge. When standing in it, I can get a Noah's Mega Spinning Edge in 2 arts. Just another reason why you can always use a Troubadour in the party.
it's about time! we finally got the most highly anticipated XC3 guide Ouroboros i was thinking this was coming out after the combat guide. you never disappoint.
If your wrists are hurting from writing scripts then I highly recommend an ergonomic keyboard! They’re not too expensive and will let you type for a lot longer without fatigue. Thanks for all the helpful videos!
ngl Ouroboros felt pretty underwhelming to me. They're really cool and strong, but I highkey wish there were specific dungeons/fights for them like the gears in Xenogears so there was a specific reason to use them.
so something that wasn't mentioned was that there is an extra mechanic to interlink that only pops up in the tips menu and doesnt come up in game normally. Depending on the role of the character that triggered the initial transformation a role effect will activate. If they were a dps it pulses a single hit of aoe damage to all enemies in combat, it they are a tank it generates a chunk of aggro on all enemies in combat, and if they were a healer it pulses a single heal. Its something that honestly wont change too much of how you play but in some instances it can make certain characters more effective like lanz being a tank so his oro passives trigger automatically (he gets damage for every enemy targeting him). Also if you cancel the interlink before it overheats it wont go on cooldown at all and can be built up immediately.
If you want to more consistently get talent arts off on hard, consider linking the heat gauge skills. You can also use arts with faster animations like Bounding End and Dragon Tail on Noah.
@@EnelXC I think they mean instead of the break attack, you can use bounding end cuz its a faster animation The power charge attack should stay ALL the time
I have slowly found myself veering away from using ouroboros lately. Even on my tankless party set-up (3 dps, signifer, troubadour, lifesage + miyabi), im able to do the 120 dragon on normal quite fast, without any hiccups (aside from the usual dps death every now and then) and without ouroboros. I just find them too slow and clunky for my taste (specially since i usually control a martial artist which is quite fast to use). It basically is relegated to ai using them every now and then to avoid death. But for those who really love getting the most of their ouroboros, the guide is really concise and really helpful.
A good way to maximize the usefulness of Bond Crystals and Fusion Arts if you’re doing a Ouroboros focused party is by equipping Gold Cubes (or just any accessory that boosts Fusion Art Damage). It can be a really good way to maximize damage as the boosts can be around a 100% damage increase with even higher damage increase variants.
Like a lot of people I also really like Dragon Tail + Boundng End + Glorious Wings for AOEs, Bounding End probably even would've helped against Kilocorn here since he can't block it I also really like Raptor Raid on Eunie for the AOE too and the animation is fast, I feel like the accuracy debuff even has a decent chance of working For Taion I also really like Lurking Spider for the fast animation, I'm not a massive fan of Body Double tbh with its long-ass animation I feel like Titan Fists is also the best on Lanz for the same reason but good luck using Lanz's lmao
I was a bit underwhelmed on interlink damage during the main story. However, Sena’s ability to cancel arts pretty quickly, and each art basically getting a break chance made it very valuable; then switching to Lanz to get the launch into chain attack. Low damage aside, this was extremely valuable. I haven’t messed too much with interlink post game because smash strategy is just too good, but this does look fun
My problem with the Ouroboros is simply that in a game where it is supposed to be the characters defining power, gameplay wise it’s very underutilised. I never felt the need to use them in the story and they weren’t required for very much. And since the Skills are only active while in the forms I felt no need to fill out the Soul Tree. They should have been used for so much more. At the very least the toughest Super Boss should have probably been the size of one.
I think Sena should have Wing Smash as her second art because Lanz can topple and launch meaning you should just finish the combo with Sena. Other than that thank you for the guide! :D
@@Jax_Two that requires two level 3s and why use 2 level 3s when you can just switch to Lanz, Talent Art, switch to Sena and finish combo w/ wing smash
Even though I've 100%'d the game (All quests, Classes max'd, Uniques, Superbosses max'd, etc.), I'm still gonna watch every guide lol. Thanks for all the videos
A useful tip when farming legendary accessories. Obviously outside of the first kill the drop rate is hilariously low, but overkills not only give a boost to the exp and cp gained, but the drops are massively improved especially at higher ratios of overkill
I really hope the game gives us the opportunity to look at some of the "hidden arts" and their power multiplier + effects. Origin Blade is one, it's obviously stronger than Mega Spinning Edge, but I wanna know HOW much stronger. Spoiler upcoming: Also Unlimited Blade, I wanna know exactly what each Art does and its damage multiplier. I can only assume it's something like 500% on each of them, but it'd be nice to get exact number.
So although I don’t know the multipliers (spoiler) Unlimited sword actually seems to act like a mini class on its own. Enel mentioned in another video that skills equipped on any class Noah is on don’t carry over and seem to be replaced by a unique set for just the unlimited form. But I found out just the other day while leveling classes that the role Noah is in when activating it completely changes the ratios and effects of the moves. As a dps all hits have a chance to inflict doom and he has a frontal aoe and two moves that boost damage to low health targets. But as a tank all hits generate aggro and one of his arts now grants him the invuln buff on every cast. As a healer it has debuff cleanses and an aoe heal. It’s weird they gave it all those functions and kind of hid it. You can’t really test for it and no menus will let you examine it.
@@SH1NK1R01 on attacker tachyon slash (strike?) also self-recharges on hit. I cam bet it has some sort of aggro reduction too, because even when out-damaging significantly the rest of my party I rarely got aggro
This is hilarious because I forget I can even interlink half the time, I literally have played 70 hours and have maybe interlinked during combat 5 times and only when I was close to death. I don’t have the setup to use this properly atm but it looks extremely fun. You should make a video highlighting the best possible party setup for everyone, that would be fun considering everything this game lets you do. As always, love the content and guides, you make Xenoblade soooo much more fun for me with all the guides and strategy stuff, thanks man
I think wing smash is a little better on Sena than Dino upper because it’s a little faster and if you have a topple character you can handle the whole driver combo with sena’s break skill, earth crusher for launch, and pretty great damage with wing smash. Also another benefit of the ouroboros driver combo arts is that at level 3 they always hit every enemy in combat, which is super nice for multi enemy fights
Thank you so much Enel for all your useful videos you got me through Xeno 2 (I actually didn't know you could chain attack and how orbs worked until the very last story boss lmao)
It’s so great for using at the start of a battle against a mob to thin the herd safely or to take out a much stronger foe much more easily. Then it’s a great panic button during fights or a massacre if you’re all level 3. If you took it out the combat then combat would still be great, but with it you just become so powerful
If you want more SP for stat boosts/ skill upgrades, I recommend that earlygame you only buy arts cancelling for half the party, and use soul link to share that skill, since it can be really expensive to reach.
I've been running heat reduction for art cancelling in my soul links and I've been able to absolutely shred with the extra time to build talent arts. I guess I probably should run a test to see if it's actually better or not damage wise, but it's the strategy I've had since the start and it's worked well for me
Thank you so much for this video, and all your efforts towards putting out guides for the game- It's the perfect time for you to do it too, so I can understand the desire to pump so many out as consistently as you have - I can imagine there are a lot more eyeballs on you after your amazing run at GDQ, and you're playing it damn smart, even if it's hurting your hands to type so many scripts =)
I've noticed that if you activate Ouroboros at the start of battle, it gives the other party members time to build their arts and Ouroboros form. Aggro usually goes to the Ouroboros form which would be you allowing them to do so. Once your Ouroboros wears off they are either already in Ouroboros or go into their Ouroboros form soon after taking the aggro. Then you can rebuild your Ouroboros. If the cooldown is still on, just use the chain attack and once it's done, you normally have your Ouroboros again, who cares what level, and start the whole process again. I guess it's the circle of life.
Keep up the amazing work Enel and don’t go overworking yourself and burning yourself out, take a break if u need to we aren’t going anywhere we will always eat up xenoblade content no matter when ❤️
Wait…you can control the AI to fuse? I really didn’t know that. Also thanks for this guide. I have no idea what I’m doing for the Ouroboros. I just like Eunie’s on control. For panic heal and accuracy down spam
I do use it at level 0 in some fights because it lets you reduce the amount of incoming damage from large groups by dealing large AoE damage and maybe outright killing one or two enemies before taking damage.
it would have been easy to make orobourous underpowered so we had to focus on the normal characters, but no, theyre incredibly powerful and fun, just as lore says they are. the fact you can BUILD AROUND THEM as your main party feature is great, i love it
One suggestion for a guide might be to demonstrate a 'farming' party. I'm the person who made that spreadsheet to catalogue all of your builds - I believe you know the link for it since you had responded to that thread. There is a second sheet about XC3 in there where I put my party setup for farming which I've had a lot of success with. I'm curious what setups you use, and if you found an even better method than the one I ultimately came up with after 3 days of farming level X gems. Just an idea - I think it can be helpful for people farming level X gems and legendary accessories to outfit all the heroes and all the builds. It's something I see a lot of people asking about on forums too. But I'm just a random chick who plays the game - they don't really listen to me but they would listen to you, haha
Something I noticed that no one seems to mention about combat with ouroboros is a great amount of animation cancel you get when you switch forms. Not sure how strong that is post game but before that its insanely strong imo like with noah's form id press X and right after the damage is applied but before the animation finishes i switch to mio's form press X and repeat. I just started chapter 7 and so far isnt helped me greatly not to mention switching forms adds a bit meter to your finisher which adds up when you end up switching multiple times
Thanks for the video. I'm interested in seeing one where you recommend the best party setup + accessories + classes for each character still. Would be great to have it.
You can pretty easily get two, and very rarely three, Oroborus talent arts and if you choose heat skills for your soul links. This is particularly helpful for Noah because it lets you get origin blade more often. Of course, I haven’t done the math to determine if that’s better than the other skills or stat buffs you can get.
There's one question that I have regarding Ouroboros forms, but it involves a mild late-game spoiler, so I've put it below. It kinda shows up in the video, but isn't addressed in any meaningful way. So we saw this at 0:36 in the video, and I've triggered it before, but how do you get Noah's second Ouroboros Talent Art, Origin Blade? I know it's unlocked around Chapter 6 or so, but I haven't found a reliable method to trigger it or even make it appear. There isn't anything that I've found in the Tips section that addresses it, either. I think you have to use Mega Spinning Edge first, then do something else to get Origin Blade to appear for his second Talent Art in the same fusion, but I haven't figured out what that something else is. Thanks for another great guide video, Enel!
Interlinking can be SUPER powerful once you unlock the right setup. After gaining the ability to switch Ouroboros, (Switching from Noah's to Mio's, etc.), and after unlocking the "Arts Canceling" node, you can do something really strong. First, you Interlink at Level 3. You can then use and art, cancel into another, OR switch forms. Being able to go from Noah to Break and then have a party member Topple, you can switch to Mio to get a fast Daze. My personal favorite strategy is to start with Noah, Break, switch to Mio, keep canceling Deadly Twister and Jaguar Slash into each other, then if needed switch back to Noah to reapply Break. After just a few art spams and switching if needed, you can EASILY fill up the special gauge. Sometimes I'll switch to Noah to use Dragon Tail before switching right back to Mio, since there's next to no cooldown on doing so. Typically in a battle, I can use both Origin Blade AND Mega Spinning Edge with a single Ouroboros usage, and I don't even have a maxed out skill tree. Spamming switches and arts is insanely good, at least for Noah/Mio. I haven't tried on Eunie/Taion or Lanz/Sena, since I don't ever really use them, and I never use Ouroboros on them.
The thing about Unison Strike that I think is important to factor is how well it combos with one of Noah’s Ouroboros Skills, which increases crit rate and damage after each critical hit. Since Unison Strike has a lot of hits and a higher crit rate than normal, one use is guaranteed to give a huge damage boost for the rest of the interlink. So I think it is very useful in that regard. I also think due to Sena’s Ouroboros’ focus on combo reactions, it is not the best idea to give Rolling Smash to Noah as if you’re going to be doing a smash art it should be from Sena, who gains a big damage boost from Combo Reactions. Bounding End can also be used in place of Unison Strike however, due to it hitting about as many times but being much faster and an AOE, as well as having Guard Annul. I don’t like Glorious Wing because the animation just lasts too long
I'm not gonna lie, that new menu you get when you can manually control who fuses into ouroboros made me enjoy using them even more which is weird but hey , great video as always Enel!
If you invest a skill link slot into 1 heat guage arts recharge ability you can pretty consistently hit all but Taion's specials twice in an interlink even on hard mode, and especially so if you invest 2 slots.
Ouroboros is a pretty great mechanic, although I have mixed feelings on the soul tree replacing the skill tree/affinity chart. This is far-fetched, but I hope somehow in the dlc we get to play as an interlinked Moebius
I mean it’s not that far fetched. We got antagonists as either playable or weapons in 2. And M and N would be real easy to give us access to in order to allow us to Moebius.
What do you think about linking additional heat mitigation instead of pure damage increases? I haven't really tested it, but I feel like it might be better if it lets you get off extra attacks, especially with Noah, since it would give you a larger window of time where you're attacking at high heat.
Am I the Only One that Wants the Ablity to Fly in Xenoblade 3? maps are the size of Xenoblade X that game had skells to compensate vast exploration wasted opportunity just saying.
One thing I like to do is have Eunie and Taion be the tanks of my party, and if a big AOE kills everyone but the tanks (which happened to me a few times...) I can pop Eunie's Ouroboros with the art that instantly revives everyone. Saved my butt on multiple occasions
It's so nice having Weltall again, in his third interation. I was up in the air about the skills and stuff, but nice to see most of my choices for some were spot on with yours. Hope your wrist gets better soon!
I quite like using Wing Smash on Sena, cuz that gives you the funny option of using Lanz' talent art into a Switch to Sena into a Smash. Just feels nice. Thanks for the guide! Any quick way to farm SP?
Half way through the game, decided to use Party control, mainly because was wanting to utilize Burst combos for farming resources, and didn't want the AI to constantly change during one... Then kinda left it like that after gotten used to how using party control works, and the benefits of it Accidently transforming was a smol mistake I done now and then, but reaching Interlink lvl 3 first and then transforming can really destroy your foes! Especially since every combo art requires interlink lvl 3, so achieving that is also satisifying, as well as filling the talent art fast! In addition, it's helpful in keeping track what level everyone is at, without needing to switch to those corresponding party members too!
Possibly dumb question but, in party, do the members who transformed still know how to unfuse before the heat gauge fills up or would I have to switch back and cancel link so they don't overheat while I'm playing someone else?
The Interling Control Type option is missing under my Game settings. I guess it was removed? Which sucks because I was looking forward to controlling my characters.
Noah's Ouroboros is mostly my AOE, multi-enemy fight sweeper. I run Bounding End and Dragon Tail. Those two arts make quick work of damn near anything under level 90. Dragon Tail is such a fast art compared to the rest.
Ouroboros definitely have their uses but they do feel a bit underwhelming compared to the regular class / art combinations the party has access to. I found myself using them mostly as a clutch reaction to keep somebody from getting knocked out. Used them less and less as the story went on. Monolith has a long history to draw from to hopefully improve Ouroboros. They’ve got Gears, A.G.W.S, A.M.W.S, E.S., and Skells. There’s also Erde Kaiser. I think some additional customization options beyond the Soul Tree could be nice.
I've watched a lot of your guides and if you see this I was wondering, how did you turn off the talent art cutscenes? Is it an option I just passed over?
If only Oroboros were as mobile in combat as they were in cutscenes, it always just looks strange with them being so slow

Wait this is a glitch!? I always just thought it was a feature and was an incentive to use both forms and not just stay in one form.
this was the first thing I did when I got agnus forms

I did this too, I thought I was so smart
God I love this game! When you can even make Ouroborus 0 strats with results. There is just so many options!
Bounding end, dragon tail, rolling smash best set up imo
I like using this, then just use glorious wing once you can use your talent art and probably finish anything left with it.
@@tripleB60 Glorious Wing to Talent Art to "Wait, where did all the enemies go?"
I loved Noah's Ouroboros the most thanks to this. In just about any non-boss quest fight just spam his AOE and everything dies.
I’ve used mostly bounding edge, dragon tail, and glorious wing
@@yoshifan2334 love that ability lol it’s saved me so many times
I've been waiting for this! Ouroboros is definitely my favorite part in this game, their designs are just too good and it screams "GEARS AND E.S"
it's about time!
we finally got the most highly anticipated XC3 guide Ouroboros
i was thinking this was coming out after the combat guide.
you never disappoint.
“my wrist has been hurting from typing so many scripts recently” this right here is why Enel’s the goat. puttin out content like crazy
If your wrists are hurting from writing scripts then I highly recommend an ergonomic keyboard! They’re not too expensive and will let you type for a lot longer without fatigue. Thanks for all the helpful videos!
Could also do speech to text to help with hand pain.
What perfect timing, I nearly have all the skills unlocked and was hoping you make a video on it soon
Enel interlinked with my heart with level 3 handsomeness. I hope your wrist gets better mate.
Oh its you again
@@pkbutter Reporting in
ngl Ouroboros felt pretty underwhelming to me. They're really cool and strong, but I highkey wish there were specific dungeons/fights for them like the gears in Xenogears so there was a specific reason to use them.
Thank you! This was super helpful, as I felt like I wasn’t properly utilizing this feature
Making sure all your videos are in my history, so when I beat the game I can finally watch the rest.
Add to watch later
@@abombernation3254 Yeah that’s what I meant lol
Tetrachad behavior
so something that wasn't mentioned was that there is an extra mechanic to interlink that only pops up in the tips menu and doesnt come up in game normally. Also if you cancel the interlink before it overheats it wont go on cooldown at all and can be built up immediately.
literally did not know controlling ouroboros for the whole party was even an option. thank you for that lol.
Ah yes, the gameplay mechanic I always remember to take advantage of and don’t just use to fish for Break before a chain attack
If you want to more consistently get talent arts off on hard, consider linking the heat gauge skills. You can also use arts with faster animations like Bounding End and Dragon Tail on Noah.
Yeah I just really like the AoE power charge
Ah finally! This was exactly the video I've been waiting for. Thanks a lot of these guides.
Like a lot of people I also really like Dragon Tail + Boundng End + Glorious Wings for AOEs, Bounding End probably even would've helped against Kilocorn here since he can't block it
I also really like Raptor Raid on Eunie for the AOE too and the animation is fast, I feel like the accuracy debuff even has a decent chance of working
For Taion I also really like Lurking Spider for the fast animation, I'm not a massive fan of Body Double tbh with its long-ass animation
I feel like Titan Fists is also the best on Lanz for the same reason but good luck using Lanz's lmao
When Enel says he will deliver he's not lying guys.
Always feel validated when I see you run the same arts I had independently picked before seeing your guides, like yeah I know what I’m doing now
I couldn't help but notice you linked the +20% attack skill to Taion's ouroboros, but there is a +25% attack skill you can link
Enel is a Eunie Fan. And Eunie, as Taion often says, does not follow the optimal strategies. Enel is meetly taking his appreciation seriously.
I am aware, overlooked or misclicked can't remember
My problem with the Ouroboros is simply that in a game where it is supposed to be the characters defining power, gameplay wise it’s very underutilised. I never felt the need to use them in the story and they weren’t required for very much. And since the Skills are only active while in the forms I felt no need to fill out the Soul Tree. They should have been used for so much more. At the very least the toughest Super Boss should have probably been the size of one.
I think Sena should have Wing Smash as her second art because Lanz can topple and launch meaning you should just finish the combo with Sena. Other than that thank you for the guide! :D
But he's relying on Noah to break, and Noah has Rolling Smash already.
@@Jax_Two that requires two level 3s and why use 2 level 3s when you can just switch to Lanz, Talent Art, switch to Sena and finish combo w/ wing smash
Damn Enel! We keep getting guide we didn't know we needed! Amazing content! Looking forward to the Troubadour guide! Amazing content!
Was actually just wondering last night if this was being made, you have some good timing. You have been absolutely crushing it!
Spoiler upcoming:
Also Unlimited Blade, I wanna know exactly what each Art does and its damage multiplier. I can only assume it's something like 500% on each of them, but it'd be nice to get exact number.
So although I don’t know the multipliers (spoiler)
Unlimited sword actually seems to act like a mini class on its own.
I also wait for the datamine
@@SH1NK1R01 on attacker tachyon slash (strike?) also self-recharges on hit. I cam bet it has some sort of aggro reduction too, because even when out-damaging significantly the rest of my party I rarely got aggro
Does Noah's bonus damage with higher heat levels apply in chain attacks?
Do a double Ouroboros order chain attack right before the Interlink cancels.
As always, love the content and guides, you make Xenoblade soooo much more fun for me with all the guides and strategy stuff, thanks man
Enel, I just want to say the suggestions in your video contain much more wisdom than I initially realized - thank you for efforts good sir!
haven’t spent any sp other than reaching arts canceling in wait for this guide, cheers
6:47 there's a 25% attack boost on eunie's tree, how come you're not using that?
Overlooked or misclicked lol
I've been loving all these guides and tutorials recently. If I could make a suggestion, a video on how to abuse Smash might be helpful.
For new player, just focus on getting art canceling then heat reduction. Once you unlock those your uroboros will literally spamming talent arts.
I've been running heat reduction for art cancelling in my soul links and I've been able to absolutely shred with the extra time to build talent arts. I guess I probably should run a test to see if it's actually better or not damage wise, but it's the strategy I've had since the start and it's worked well for me
Been waiting for this guide especially, I’ll definitely give these builds a try
Thank you so much for this video, and all your efforts towards putting out guides for the game- It's the perfect time for you to do it too, so I can understand the desire to pump so many out as consistently as you have - I can imagine there are a lot more eyeballs on you after your amazing run at GDQ, and you're playing it damn smart, even if it's hurting your hands to type so many scripts =)
Thanks for the guide. I’ll probably come back to this later when I start to worry about optimization and what not.
There was a tweet before the game came out saying “something special might happen if you fill up your skill tree” . What’s was that about.
I don't know LOL
Keep up the amazing work Enel and don’t go overworking yourself and burning yourself out, take a break if u need to we aren’t going anywhere we will always eat up xenoblade content no matter when ❤️
Rolling Smash returns from XC2 and it actually Smashes now
Edit: Other XC2 arts are on the Ouroboros forms
No it’s okay if you ramble it keeps me entertained for longer, keep those wrists safe though
Great video enel keep it up been enjoying the videos also unlocked ashera today she is probably one of the coolest characters
Thanks for the video. I'm interested in seeing one where you recommend the best party setup + accessories + classes for each character still. Would be great to have it.
Thanks for another great guide. I hope your wrist gets better man.
Either activating it while in lucky 7, or using mega spinning edge then noah talent again at high heat level
I don’t like Glorious Wing because the animation just lasts too long
Yes finally here! I think rolling smash is amazing for Noah’s so I figured it would be here
6:42 You gave Taion the 20% attack boost but Eunie does have a 25% attack boost
probably was a misclick
@@EnelXC Understandable. I love the amount of optimization in this game. And thank you again for these guides, they have been very helpful!
Thank you very much for the Ouroboros guide!!!
I'm not gonna lie, that new menu you get when you can manually control who fuses into ouroboros made me enjoy using them even more which is weird but hey , great video as always Enel!
Most notable detail imo is every Ouroboros has some large AoE option, making them amazing tools for crowd control in multi-enemy fights.
12:59 How can i show up this?
I saw this interlink menu many times from different people but i don't know How to do that
If you invest a skill link slot into 1 heat guage arts recharge ability you can pretty consistently hit all but Taion's specials twice in an interlink even on hard mode, and especially so if you invest 2 slots.
We do get Triton so there's always a chance.
What do you think about linking additional heat mitigation instead of pure damage increases? I haven't really tested it, but I feel like it might be better if it lets you get off extra attacks, especially with Noah, since it would give you a larger window of time where you're attacking at high heat.
Oh I've been waiting for this actually
Hope your wrist gets better soon!
bounding end also builds up Noah's skill for crits boosting his damage and crit
It took me so long to realize the ouroboros symbol is literally an ourobos.
Wow I am stupid
As a very light critic, Taion can take a skill from Eunie that boosts attack by 25% which would be better than your set up having only 20%
yeah slight mistake when replacing the skill
and on that day enel started down the dark path of using no tanks
Walmart ES lmaoooo. Okay nevermind this guide helped me more and I like them in combat now not just story cutscenes.
I quite like using Wing Smash on Sena, cuz that gives you the funny option of using Lanz' talent art into a Switch to Sena into a Smash. Just feels nice.
Thanks for the guide! Any quick way to farm SP?
Wished that I known about the Interlink control type before beating the game. That would of made a lot of fights a lot more easier for me.
Half way through the game, decided to use Party control, mainly because was wanting to utilize Burst combos for farming resources, and didn't want the AI to constantly change during one...
Then kinda left it like that after gotten used to how using party control works, and the benefits of it
Accidently transforming was a smol mistake I done now and then, but reaching Interlink lvl 3 first and then transforming can really destroy your foes!
@@dammit3048 Yes, they still do that rule
The Interling Control Type option is missing under my Game settings. I guess it was removed? Which sucks because I was looking forward to controlling my characters.
Noah's Ouroboros is mostly my AOE, multi-enemy fight sweeper. I run Bounding End and Dragon Tail. Those two arts make quick work of damn near anything under level 90. Dragon Tail is such a fast art compared to the rest.
Yeah I really just like the AoE power charge for obvious reasons
Our feelings will be forever interlinked
